  • A Perfect Week!

"We recently stayed at the Mango Walk house along with another couple. The pictures online are beautiful but cannot prepare you for just how breathtaking this property really is! We stayed in 3 different locations/cities during our time in CR and this was bar far the best. Not only was the house beautiful and clean, but the beds and pillows were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, the area felt safe, and of course, Jeff and Sherry were lovely hosts! One helpful reminder, you do NEED a 4x4 vehicle as the driveway is steep, but it sure is fun to drive up and down with a 4x4! Be sure to build time into your stay to take the Caribeans Chocolate tour and to just be at the house! We were thankful that we did not plan activities for every moment as some of our favorite times were sitting on the deck having dinner or drinks. Regarding temperature, the house stays VERY comfortable, we had it completely open during the day and then would just have the screens shut in the evenings. Be sure to keep the lights off as to not attract critters! There are lots of ceiling fans and a few oscillating fans, we truly never felt hot. The house has a water filtration system on the faucet, we drank out of the tap all week. I would recommend bringing a pair of binoculars, there are a pair on the deck, but if you are like our group, we all wanted to watch the sloths and iguanas at once so having more than 1 pair was perfect. Lastly, pack light. When you read that PV is casual, believe it, a few sun dresses and a bathing suit are plenty. We would recommend this house to anyone and plan to visit again someday. It was perfect in every way!"

  • Great time!

"We went with our 5 and 6 year old children. We all had a wonderful time. Lots of beach and pool time. Weather was amazing. Mark was very nice and helpful. house is much better than advertised. Lots of outdoor living space which also means lots of wildlife (inside and out 😊). Saw many howler monkeys, white faced monkeys, giant crickets, lizards, a giant snake, dart frogs, toucans, macaws etc... Highly recommend!"

  • Great week with friends

"We spent a week at Villa Noor in mid-January. Our hosts, Cindy and Freddie, were very helpful despite the language barrier. The Villa was well stocked and comfortable. The property felt like our on wildlife reserve where we saw Iguanas, Jesus Christ lizards (those guys that walk on water), toucans, leaf cutter ants, sloths, kinkajou, skinks, blue crabs, butterflies if many sorts including the wonderful blue morpho, moths that look just like leaves, hermit hummingbirds, and howler monkeys! The beach is a short stroll away as is the center of Manzanillo. Manzanillo abuts the Gandaco-Manzanillo refuge where we went for a day long hike with Abel Bustamante. He's a great guide, very lively and knowledgeable and speaks English well. He gave us a lot of tips on spotting wildlife as well as a lot of commentary on life in Costa Rica. With a car, you can access Puerta Viejo (great for surfers- too much congestion for us!) and the mountains easily from Manzanillo though the busses seem to be able to take you everywhere."
