  • Beautiful condo in a great location.

"First of all, Michael was a pleasure to work with when getting the reservation setup. The unit is very well furnished and accommodated our group of 6 very comfortably. We had a wedding to attend to at the Marriott Hotel in Los Suenos and the condo was very close to where we needed to be. We were able to see a few of the rooms in the hotel there and they weren't nearly as nice as the Bella Vista. Also, if you are looking to get out on the water the marina is very close as well. The pools surrounding the unit were very nice (the beach club was always a bit crowded, but the pool closest to the unit was quiet and tranquil). I recommend giving the property management company (STAY) plenty of advanced notice before your arrival so they can make sure to have the unit ready. We arrived at their office at 3:30pm and grabbed the keys. When we entered the unit, the cleaning crew was still working. It wasn't a big deal, just a minor annoyance. If you are looking for a high-end place to stay close to all the action that Los Suenos has to offer, then check this place out!"

  • A great place near Montezuma !

"I recently finished a one month stay at La Colina. I had previously spent a week there last year and was anxious to return for a longer period this time. I easily settled in and noticed how well provided it is for a long stay with a kitchen that bears many thoughtful touches, good fans for cooling each room, a new washer and lines outside for natural drying and the classic tropical veranda that serves as the outdoor living room with comfortable chairs, a hammock and large table that would seat 8 people. The gardens surrounding the home are well-cared for and I could cut flowers for arrangements. A thick jungle canopy encloses the space on each side for privacy and dips with the slope in front to open for a panoramic ocean view. In front of the veranda were many shrubs in bloom that attracted a dance of multi-colored butterflies and darts of iridescent hummingbirds! After multiple trips exploring all around Costa Rica, this is the spot that feels most like home."

  • An Oasis in Paradise

"Our family had an absolutely wonderful time staying in this lovely home. It truly exceeded every expectation. The house is in a gated community only 400 meters walk to the beach down a quiet dirt road. There is a community pool close by as well as your own private pool in the backyard. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and a small market for necessities. Otherwise this area is blissfully free of any tourist traps. The beach itself is palm tree lined, goes on for miles in either direction, gently sloping and has the warmest dark sand great for shelling and sand dollar hunting (not to mention gorgeous sunsets) with hardly another person in sight. Now the house- wow! Beautifully decorated and fully stocked with everything you could need in the kitchen and throughout. So handy having a locking safe to store items and feel fully safe, as well as the decorative iron on the doors and windows for added security. Although I must say we felt completely safe in the community and every neighbor we met was so welcoming. The backyard oasis had several areas for relaxing by the pool and enjoying morning coffee or evening cocktails. If I have any complaints it's that the backyard is so comfortable we had a hard time leaving it to head to the beach! And an even harder time heading home. We'd definitely rent this home again, the owner was always available by email to answer any questions, but otherwise left us alone to enjoy paradise!"

  • A Spring Break to Remember - Where the Jungle meets the Sea

"My 12 year old son and I and another family of 4 (2 boys aged 12 and 9) had the most wonderful vacation at this house this past Spring Break. The house is spacious and comfortable, perched high above a wild stretch of Pacific coast. It feels luxurious in an authentic Costa Rican way. It's hard to know where to start. We packed a lot into each day and yet felt totally relaxed and rested when we got home. We hired a wonderful local guide, Nito, to hike both on and near this property and in Corcovado. He made our trip. Not only did we see a lot more than we would have without him, he had a vast knowledge of the ecology of the area and the kids and adults learned a lot. He has also perfected the art of taking a photo with an iPhone 6 through the lens of his swarovsky telescope. I have great photos! Things I recommend: Get up before dawn to catch sunrise and animals on the beach; take a glass of wine down to the beach at sunset (this is NOT a swimming beach. It is beautiful and wild and very powerful so always watch the kids); ask Grace to cook local dishes; ask Juan to take you on a night hike (we had an encounter with a Fer-de-lance that the kids will remember for life ;=); hire a local fisherman to take you out on Golfo Dulce to fish and get up close and personal with dolphins, go to the nearby eco lodges and enjoy cocktails and wifi once or twice, go zip lining through the forest; visit a coco plantation; sleep with the doors and windows wide open to hear the ocean and the wildlife; if you have kids or even if you don't, keep a list each day of all the birds and animals that you see and if you can't identify something look it up in the books at the house each evening. The boys really got into to doing this and argued over who was going to write them all in the owner's book to record wildlife sightings. I could go on and on. This was the perfect vacation. Family, friends, adventure, comfort, amazing wildlife and unspoiled beauty. The owner of this property was extremely helpful and his tips and advice contributed greatly to the success of our vacation. The Osa Peninsular is a very special place. My son and I can't wait to go back."
