  • Beautiful

"Absolutely beautiful gite in Normandy in the small village of Vieux-Port. The village has a small church, strolls by the river and not much else to disturb you. If you want tranquility then this is definitely the place for you. Being able to stay in a 15th century, thatched cottage is frankly pleasure in itself. The site has all the mod cons i.e. microwave, freezer, washer but still retains the charm of the historic cottage. It must be said that Bernard is a delight, helpful (when we needed a quick trip to the Drs) and yet not invasive - your privacy is assured. Rouen Cathedral, Bayeaux, cider & calvados distillery and Normandy beaches all in fairly easy reach. Well worth the visit! We'll be back."

  • Great house with swimming pool

"My husband and I had a very pleasant stay with five young adults (age between 18 and 23) in this quietly situated house in the centre of Honfleur. (But you can also stay there with little kids, as there is a swing, a cod and a baby chair). Great garden with swimming pool. You can relax on the porch or in the garden. Shops and bars at easy walking distance. Kitchen well equipped, house was clean. Excellent welcome by host. I would surely recommend this house to family and friends. There is a supermarket at easy walking distance, and a bigger intermarche in Équemauville only a few minutes bij car. Beautiful surroundings. Honfleur itself is an pretty town with an attractive harbour, but also crowded. There is a beach in Honfleur, but it has a view on Le Havre. If you go past Daeuville, the view is better. We only had trouble to find the house as there is also a rue st Nicol (chemin), which is the extension of rue st Nicol. The entrance was at the back of the garden at a car park (free parking)."

  • Idyllic!

"We have just returned from this house after a wonderful, relaxing week. Situated in quiet and picturesque Normandy countryside the house is beautifully presented and very practical for a large family gathering. We all fell in love with its light and airy charm. The garden is huge and even though temperatures were high we didn't miss a pool.....the garden has lots of mature trees so there were areas of shade at all times of the day in which we could lie on the sunbeds. Our toddler loved the safe garden and particularly the cows grazing at the end! Mme David was a very welcoming and friendly host. This property is ideally situated for exploring the stunning harbour town of Honfleur and the beaches at Deauville and Trouville are a must. We will certainly return to this idyll again."
