  • Lovely Coach House-Fabulous Food!

"Gilly & Richard-We absolutely loved your coach house. It was so cozy & had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The decorations are absolutely adorable, beautiful quality and tasteful. I especially love the elephant quilts. Thanks also for the garden tour & showing me the chickens/hens. The absolute best part of the stay has to be the fabulous meals prepared for us by Gilly & served to us at our own table by Richard. You are an amazing chef, kudos Gilly!!! Thanks for your patience in helping us with our navigation issues and your wonderful service Richard. It was great to be able to walk right out to your lovely shoreline-so spectacular. We only wish we could have stayed longer. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!"

  • Great Place in a Quaint Town

"We just spent two nights here, but the apartment was nice and quaint and Nora was excellent! We were able to get the place last minute and Nora was kind enough to make sure it was ready and even have time to provide us with some homemade scones. We wish we could have stayed another day or two to enjoy the area more. Most of the reviews I see mention how wonderful Nora is and that is completely true. She takes great care of her guests with excellent recommendations on what to see close by."

  • Lovely house in great location

"We had a fabulous stay at Derry Hill. Nora was very helpful and accommodating with our changing arrival time. The house was really nice, and the area was outstanding. Would love to return and see more of beautiful Ireland."

  • Cozy and wonderful

"The moment I stepped into this cottage I knew it was perfect. Stone cottage, adorable kitchen with wood/peat-burning stove, beautiful bedroom off the kitchen and lofted bedroom atop. The cottage is surrounded by lush greenery and fields where the sheep graze. Oh, how I love the sheep! This is the second time I have stayed at the cottage. I love it and can't wait to return. Truth be told, Ireland was not on my bucket list but I had an opportunity to travel with friends. After that trip, I vowed to return as often as I could. I first went in August and returned a few years later in February. The weather in August was fabulous. The weather in February was rainy but it didn't matter one bit. The rain made it even cozier. We still hiked Sheeps Head Way over the top of the mountain to glorious views of the bay (an easy walk or short drive to the trail). I found my favorite pub in Bantry, but there are many to choose. The food and hospitality of the Durrus and Bantry folks were fantastic. Day trips abound to spectacular sights like Mizen Head, Garnish Island and so much more. Thank you for letting me relax and restore in your beautiful cottage. To get a chance to breathe...and to breathe that fresh Irish air...I have never slept better in such peace and tranquility."
