  • Amazing!

"Wonderful villa. Spotlessly clean and as per description. Complete privacy - not overlooked by neighbours. Views are spectacular day and night. Recommend a smallish car with power steering as a few hairpin bends to navigate on the way up. Owners and their representative were efficient and extremely helpful. Everything went smoothly - check-in and check-out. Recommended for a relaxing holiday. Nearby Kotor was a lovely day out - turn left when you get off the ferry, not the quicker route to the right and you'll enjoy more breathtaking scenery! Thank you for a wonderful holiday! • Great villa, pool, views and location.

"We were immediately captivated by Dusanka’s instructions which might have come from a John Le Carre novel: once you cross the border, you will be met at a petrol station by a man called Milutin who also speaks Russian; follow him to a little village called Podi… Turned out there was a practical reason for this - house numbers or even road names are sometimes in short supply in parts of Montenegro – one of its many charms. We quickly found the best approach was to relax and go with the flow. The address-less villa turned out to be very clean which is always a good sign. Upstairs, the quirkiness of having a separate entrance wasn’t an issue & the air conditioning meant the 5 of us had few problems sleeping at night on the comfortable beds, despite the weather most days being a welcome 32 degrees. Downstairs, the electric fan was needed in the kitchen, which has a large dining table, though it was also nice to eat at the table outside (the road noise didn't bother us). Similarly there are lounge areas upstairs and downstairs, the latter having a TV (with some English language channels) and a DVD player. Outside there is a nice balcony (good for enjoying the fantastic view, star gazing or watching distant lightning displays, as we found) and of course the pool, which the children loved, and was very welcome after reading on the sun loungers for a while. There is both sun and shade in the garden as a result of the amazing range of fruit trees. The pool is diligently tended by the aforementioned Milutin who is lovely, and very helpful, though most of our conversations were inevitably in sign language. Kotor bay is so large it has almost no tide once you’re away from the mouth, with the consequence that the absence of waves makes swimming easy but beaches stony (swim socks recommended). While there is swimming at Herceg Novi, we preferred Morinje and Risan. We also enjoyed day trips to the little alleyways of Kotor, over the mountains towards Niksik (go for the astonishing landscape rather than the city), over the border to beautiful Dubrovnik in Croatia, and to the charming Trebinje in Eastern Herzegovina. (A point to note: if you are there in the height of summer, it is advisable to leave early for day trips for reasons of heat, ease of parking, and - especially if crossing borders -shorter waiting times. otherwise be ready for long delays). We highly recommend both Montenegro & the villa. Thank you, Dusanka!"

  • Beautiful villa with stunning views

"Nice relaxing family holiday. The villa was very clean, spacious and well maintained. Great outdoor space - a good sized pool, barbecue area and several areas/balconies to just relax & enjoy the view - which were pretty stunning! The owners were friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome. There was a nice little bar less than 10mins walk away, great spot to enjoy the taste of the local wines/beer & most helpful staff when booking taxi's to explore the local nightlife in the nearby town. I would recommend this property and would suggest you hire a car to fully explore the local beaches, mountains and towns."

  • Lovely Apartment

"We have just returned from Montenegro having stayed 10 days in this property. There were four in our party, two couples. We thought the apartment itself was bright ,clean & well presented. The photographs on the website do not do it justice as it is larger and more spacious in reality. It is fully equipped with everything you would need, but no dishwasher. The bedrooms were large and very nicely furnished too with loads of storage, which is normally a problem I find with holiday apartments. The area itself is stunning, and what we loved most was the luxury of being able to get up in the morning and within a minute be straight into the fjord for a swim…a perfect start to our day. There are a couple of local shops within a few minutes walking distance where we found the essentials and several restaurants. We sat out on the terraces of various restaurants and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. There are many interesting places nearby to visit. Kotor town which is an old walled town, is truly beautiful and UNESCO protected. Also recommend visiting Porto Montonegro in Tivat. We had a lovely meal in Restaurant One, which was excellent. We used the bus service quite a bit, even though we had hired a car, as it was cheap to use and you can catch it anywhere along the fjord. We had no problems at all with this apartment but were reassured by the owners that help was at hand if we needed anything. I would highly recommend this apartment and we will definitely be returning to Stoliv and hopefully stay here as it is a great place from which to explore Montenegro. Jacki"
