  • Fantastic!

"Family holiday of 11. Age range 10-67. The villa was ready early, which was great. We were welcomed on arrival by Alan and Careena - both provided essential and helpful information for our stay. The speedy response for any issue was dealt with promptly. For us, it was Wifi connection. This was remedied quickly. The villa's outside space and pool were the best features, and en-suite bedrooms. Areas for upgrade were the villa bathroom - functional. The neighbouring villa had a small dog that got through the fence into our property a few times, even though we tried to block the hole in the fence with flower pots. It was friendly, but unwelcome all the same. The additional cost for air conditioning was essential. It was just 10 minutes easy walk to the beach, bars and small supermarkets. Lidl, a short taxi ride away, was worth it as it had almost everything we needed. Casita restaurant by the beach was amazing. As we were a large group, we booked ahead and had sole use of a small courtyard. The menu left us spoilt for choice and service was very good. A great night out. We had a wonderful family holiday of three generations. We made memories here and would recommend this villa and location to others. A highlight were fireworks on St Bartholomew's day. We sat on the beach at midnight to enjoy the display. Taxi transfer (organised by owner on our behalf) was well-worth doing."

  • Excellent holiday home.

"Stayed here a while ago now, had a fantastic time. The house is ideal for holidays, it is totally fenced off with electric gates and not overlooked. It stands on a small plot with no garden but terraces all the way round and ample off road parking, plus a large terrace off the master bedroom and a smaller one off the games room. Inside is delightful and has a massive gym/games room upstairs. We ate all meals outside where there is a good size table and BBQ along with a plunge pool to keep you cool in summer. The house is situated in a residential street and is very quiet apart from some farm animal noises from a field at the back (we enjoyed that). Es Canar is a small tourist village, it is just a short 5 min.walk from the house. Shops, bars and all facilities are right to hand. Lots for families to do and they make up the bulk of the people in the area. We will be back to stay no doubt."

  • Fantastic house in a beautiful location

"The property is very spacious. While it was only the three of us, it could have easily accommodated another family (with children sharing the third bedroom). The two terraces are both large. One faces the sea, the other is next to the pool, the retractable roof offering protection from the midday sun. The kitchen is fully equipped. There are two bathrooms. If the weather defies the odds, there is plenty of living space inside too, comprising an open plan dining and living space with an additional sitting space that overlooks the coast, some 4 km away. The pool itself was fantastic, positioned for take advantage of the sun and views. It was larger than we were expecting. Very clean and ideal for a young child to use. There’s a sun umbrella, bucket, spade and some pool toys available too. All useful to know when packing for a holiday with little ones. The owner of the property, Juan lives next door. He was extremely friendly and helpful when we saw him. That being said, he was not intrusive. You have complete privacy and are not overlooked by anyone, which we certainly appreciated as it made the holiday even more personal. The booking process is not handled directly through this site. But do not let that deter you. We were in constant touch with Antonio, a friend of the house owner who acts as a proxy to talk with you in English. He was very patient with me answering my questions in advance of our arrival. He provided all the information we required to complete the booking and meet up with the owner in the adjacent town on our arrival at 21:30. A final note - the villa is in the country side so you will need to hire a car. This is certainly a worthwhile addition to your holiday. Both Juan and Antonio were happy to provide recommendations about where to go on the island. The tourist town of Sant Antoni is about 3km away., Not a place we were particularly interested in visiting. But it does mean you are close to two supermarkets (Lidle and Eroski, the latter being where we needed up using more) I cannot recommend the place enough. In fact we booked a second holiday while we were there."

  • Amazing views and lovely house

"This is a really amazing house, nicely decorated, stayed cool inside and had amazing views over the beach below. Can't really fault the house itself as its a really nice place to stay and enjoy a beach holiday. There are just a few things that future holiday makers need to be aware of when staying here. All of these things meant out stay wasn't perfect and meant more work for us! 1. We were given the wrong number for the property twice. We waited in the heat for an hour waiting for someone to pick up the phone at the other end and finally when we spoke to the person we were suppose to meet, he could not accurately tell us where exactly on the street the property was it give us the right property number! Mass confusion and not a great start with no apology! 2. We had a leak in the toilet which took until day 4 out of our 7 day stay to sort out- after having to chase twice to get it fixed. 3. Direct access to the beach as advertised was not always possible and we had to deal with it ourselves as the access is via the clubhouse below. We're were told in no uncertain terms by the club owner that we could not use the steps to go to the beach as it was their private property. Beware is locked by them! It was not pleasant being confronted by an angry man on holiday with our two young children! Communication could definitely have been better and more support would have been welcomed. These things are all easy to improve and I hope they do as it is genuinely a nice place to stay. I'm writing this to make others aware so they can avoid these same issues."
