  • Really Awesome Villa!

"We absolutely loved staying at this Villa. David, the owner of the Villa, had great communication with me prior to the trip so I felt comfortable that we had all of the information we needed before arriving. The unit is absolutely beautiful. The views are stunning. One afternoon we saw a very active whale in the distance. The resorts personal concierge, Raul, greeted us shortly after we checked in and he made sure we had his contact information and instructions on our options to getting around the Pueblo Bonito Resorts, ordering groceries, catching cabs, shuttles, fishing excursion plans, etc. Every time we had questions or needed assistance with something Raul immediately responded. Our party consisted of 4 adults and two recently high school graduated young men. Everyone was so happy with the space and ability to have private rooms with great bathrooms and closets. Most of our days were spent in the Villa infinity pool just enjoying the sounds of the waves hitting the shore. The graduates were all over between our place, the other resort pools and downtown. We chose to take taxis into town verses the shuttles because we aren't very patient. The shuttles are a good option if you are just staying close by and going to Pueblo's Sunset or Pacifica resorts. If going downtown I would recommend calling for taxi which is between $14-$20 dollars one way, depending on number of passengers. So you should consider if renting a car is more convenient. We don't like driving there so the cab money and Browns Transportation Service was worth it to us. The housekeepers were there everyday and took great care of us. It is not always the same employees providing services so make sure you have tipping cash available to show your appreciation. If you want a more quiet vacation with private pool, hot tub and ability to go downtown on your terms then this is fantastic option."

  • Excellent holiday!!

"Booked this place for two weeks over spring break. It was the perfect size for our family of four ( mom, dad and two tweens) Beds were all super comfy. We really just wanted to relax and unwind and we found this was the absolute ideal place to do so. We rented a car and filled up on groceries at Costco and Walmart ... didn't feel like cooking, we ordered room service to the villa or went to the lovely "market" at Pueblo which had hot, fresh food at the ready. We enjoyed amazing meals at The Thompson Hotel, Bar Esquila and Las Ventanas as well. We felt very safe in this double gated slice of heaven and the views from the heated pool are to die for ! A million thank you's!"

  • A great combination of privacy and access, with an amazing view

"If you are planning a trip to Cabo, then this is a great option for accommodations. We have stayed in resorts and villas for years, but this was a unique blend of the two. The resorts are great for access to restaurants and amazing pools, but the rooms are small and privacy is just okay. Villa's are great for privacy and access to your own kitchen, but you are on your own for activities. The villa at Montecristo is spacious and the pool is great. The temperature in ours was upper 80's, so refreshing, but warm for morning swimming too. The view is awesome and it is easy to get lost in the view while in the pool, so use your sun block. We also spent time at the Sunset and Rose resorts for pool and beach cabana access, so the combination was awesome. Food at the resort restaurants was good, but the recommendations that Robert provided for places in town were spot on. Here are a couple of tips: 1. We rented a car for the week and didn't need it. $500 down the drain. One of the other guests gave a great suggestion. Avis has an office at the resort. He rented for one day (from the airport) for $25.00 and turned it is at Montecristo. He then rented again for the day on the trek back. Shuttle service is solid and taxi's are reasonable and fast. 2. Our concierge (Adrian), was amazing. He helped with setting up activities and reservations. He even got us into a restaurant that was full when we called. He was uncannily timely and super attentive. Make good use of your concierge and tip well. They deserve it! 3. We had some breezy nights and the villa is not built to be weather proof. The banging of the sliding glass doors in the first night woke me up, but then it was fine. 4. The kitchen is spacious and has good appliances, but there weren't many useful utensils. We made do, but I should have bought a knife at Wal-Mart. 5. For activities- the zip line tour with Cabo-Ventures as awesome. It includes rock climbing and repelling. the big zip-line is a mile long and you hit 60 mph. A must-do, but it takes all day. Thanks for the awesome stay Robert. We will be renting again!"

  • Even better than advertised.

"This is a great property in a great location with an owner who is easy to work with. Our first stay on the Pacific side of Cabo and will definitely go back. Even though we arrived on Christmas day our refrigerator was stocked with the food and drinks we had ordered in advance and our concierge was waiting to make sure everything went smooth at check in. We were able to see more than two dozen whales from the deck during our stay - most of them right by the shore in front of the property. We visited most of the other PB properties during our stay, but hated to leave the view from the pool so ended up cooking in several nights. Would recommend this property and specifically this owner without hesitation."
