  • Great home, location, owners and staff

"We stayed at Villa Nicte for 5 days May 3rd thru 7th 2016. I've been visiting Puerto Vallarta since 1972 and have now found my new place to stay each time. Located just 2 blocks from the Malecon and resting oceanfront right on the beach this 3 story villa with a bedroom and on suite on each floor leaves plenty of space for privacy when you want it. The living room is comfortable with a view of the ocean and the view from the kitchen sink is the same. The private dipping pool is larger than what I anticipated from having seen the pictures. There are restaurants within a 2-3 minute walk and the large supermarket is only 2 blocks away. I thought I might have a hard time sleeping anticipating a thumping bass sound from the nightlife, but all I heard was the waves breaking on the beach. Marta arrives each day to clean and share her upbeat personality. She cooked a birthday meal for my friend by buying a 6.5lb red snapper at the market to go along with salad, veggies, etc.. She is a treasure. She speaks English well but allowed me to practice my Spanish most often. The owners John and Mark take away any anxiety one might have in setting up the rental, including having someone waiting at the airport to take you to their villa. My opinion is you can't find a better location in Puerto Vallarta as you won't need to take a bus or cab unless you're going on an activity. Thanks John and Mark for your hospitality and taking care of all the little things that make such a big difference in enjoying a vacation. Bob McVey"

  • New Favorite!

"If you are up for a little adventure arriving and departing from Los Chonchos, then this is an amazing place to stay. On days when the water is too rough for the water taxi to make a beach landing, you will have to go to the little village of Chimo, about a 40 min. hike away, or you can hire a mule to carry your things if it is too much to hike with. Met lots of nice folks at Los Chonchos, and La Palapa Tranquila is a beautiful space, with amazing views and everything you need! We enjoyed the hike to Chimo (tiny fishing village), and relaxing on the spacious deck of the palapa was always the perfect end to the day! We only had one meal at the "restaurant" but it was wonderful! (Plan ahead if you want to eat there, they need at least a day's notice to be ready for you). Next time, we hope the water is calm enough to take the sea kayak out. The beaches are beautiful and never crowded - there are only about 24 palapas total at Los Chonchos, so never too many folks around. If you want a relaxing, peaceful getaway where you can truly practice the art of doing nothing (but with plenty to do if you choose), this is the perfect spot! Chuck and Yvonne were always very responsive and gave fast replies to any inquiries."

  • Casa Corona- best place in PV

"Ten of us stayed in Casa Corona for a week long holiday. We were spoiled by owner, management and staff. Every bedroom has a unique charm. We really enjoyed the kitchen and the upscale pans and gorgeous dishes. The living room was very welcoming! The view from the roof is incredible. The pool and jaccuZZI were very refreshing and the grounds and house are kept impeccably clean. Do yourself a favor and contact Dale to rent this villa."

  • Wow Wow Wow!

"I live 2 hours south of PV and come into town a couple of times a month for business, doctors, etc. I decided to spend a week in July. I came across this condo for rent in a complex I had never visited-wow! What a great location, quiet, but a short walk to my favorite part of the MALECON and an easy bus ride to all of my other errands. Stunning pool & gardens surround this tranquil home away from home, truly an oasis in a bustling city. The kitchen is super well equipped, the king bed where I woke up with no backache for s change and a great terrace for dining. Bruno could not have been more helpful and the staff at Puesta Del Sol more friendly and accommodating. I don't need to look anywhere else for my PV respites. The only challenge will be getting a reservation since this place is so popular."
