  • Absolutely awesome, views, location and accommodations!

"The studio suite was very comfortable and well equipped for all of our needs. The outdoor space outside of or door was fabulous. Eating breakfast poolside with the ocean view was remarkable. We loved BBQing dinner when we weren't checking out the great restaurants close by. Christmas morning brunch at Hacienda San Angels was definitely a highlight. We felt close to everything and walked for miles along the Malecon and throughout town. We loved the market nearby Saturday mornings. With the bus stop at the corner we were able to travel easily throughout Puerto Vallarta and beyond. New Years Eve on the upper deck watching the fireworks was truly amazing. The climb up the stairs everyday was definitely worth it! This was our first trip to Puerto Vallarta and I must say I have never felt safer in any place in the world day or night. Thank you Elaine, your studio suite was everything you promised and more! Tim and Jannie Stoodley"

  • Hard to find better!

"I stayed at La Piedra with my girlfriend for 9 days in February 2017 and it exceeded all expectations. The house is located in the charming Old Vallarta. We walked all over town, which is very safe and could not find a nicer property. The house was very clean and all the decor was modern and elegant. The open floor plan gives a great energy and the kitchen has every amenity for cooking a good meal. In case you don't feel like cooking, Thierry owns the best restaurant in town and treated us to a free meal! The food there compares to any 5-star rated place in NYC. The house is equipped with stereo, TV, wifi, laundry, etc. All the things you might be used to at home, but we didn't find much need for any of that. Admiring the views from the floor-to-ceiling retractable windows occupied most of our time in La Piedra. The view from the roof offers arguably the best vantage points in all of Puerto Vallarta (except for visiting the Observation Deck). The attention to detail in the house cannot be underscored. Everything from the carefully chosen artwork to the dimmable lighting present all through the house, its obvious the design was well thought-out. The master bedroom shower features a sliding door to a balcony that overlooks Puerto Vallarta. Imagine watching the sunset from the shower, what a sight! The neighborhood feels safe and the property is guarded by a gated entrance accessed from the street. From there you must climb up dozens of steps past palm trees and other exotic shrubberies that conceal the house from the street. The boardwalk (El Malecon) is the most popular point of interest in the area and is a 5 - 10 minute walk from the property. The most popular beach (Playa Los Muertos) is about a 25 minute walk. The property seems almost too good to be true, and at first we thought it was a scam because we had to pay deposit over PayPal. But I see that as a shortcoming of HomeAway rather than the property owner. After speaking with Thierry, who was very accommodating to our needs, we were sold. This house was enchanting and memorable in every way. Searching all of HomeAway and AirBnb, we could not find better!"

  • Really pretty nice

"Really a beautiful place...the bright colors contrasted by the old dark wood. The place is in great condition.... and you can't beat the views. We were well taken care of by owner's liaison who explained the area and the logistics of the house. He was always available by a phone call and helped with questions about taxis, grocery shopping, etc. Beware this is open glass windows. If one of the neighbors decides to have a party that lasts to 6am, which frequently happened, you will need to get on their schedule. Overall great value and experience for us."

  • The perfect Puerto Vallarta vacation spot

"This was our second time staying at Casa Caracol and we hope to make it back very soon. We love everything about this place. Maria the housekeeper is wonderful and the hosts/owners made sure we were as comfortable as possible during our stay. This place is a real gem."
