  • Comfy with character. Serenely quiet.

"Bruce has a magical spot overlooking Tucson on one of the gradual cactus-rich slopes west of the city. You awake to birdsong and the pink colored sky out from the veranda, without humanity's noise apart from the gentle gurgle of a small fountain feeding a goldfish pond. Ample windows and screens all around, the air moves freely through the house if you like. Very comfotable beds and couches, with a sort of cowboy motif. Lots of separation from others since sits on 6.4 acres. Gravel road access might deter very low slung cars, but for 97 percent would not be a problem."

  • Quiet retreat. Close to scenic attractions and golf. Owner very responsive and hospitable.

"The small private house met our needs, well furnished and comfortable with quail, other birds and rabbits to watch. Loved the hot tub and BBQ area. Hospitality was great! Tucson exceeded our expectations. So much to do and see."

  • A really delightful place!

"It's a really delightful house. My guests and I all enjoyed it. It's open, airy, and bright with lovely décor and art throughout. The location is close to downtown and the mountains and it's an easy straight shot from the airport. The owner was just great - very accessible, helpful and friendly. The community pool and spa was excellent too. Judy McPhee"

  • A Pretty quiet house at the border of the desert

"I came from France to Tucson to do hiking in south Arizona in August (less than 2-3 hours drive from Tucson). I particularly appreciated East Saguaro park (a lot of wild animals early morning, lovely cactus flowers), several hikes in the Tucson mountains, the wonderful Arizona-Sonora desert museum near west Saguaro park, the unique ambiance of Tombstone, the nice town of Bisbee (with excellent coffee and foods), and the Organ pipe cactus national monument near the Mexican border. The house is situated in a very quite place in the foothills of Catalina Mountains but you are very close to everything (shops, restaurant, etc). From the house you can enjoy the nature of the desert. The house is pretty with a very comfortable bed and a very well equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, a large view on Catalina mountains and the North of Tucson (often nice sunsets). At last but not least, Jim and Meg were attentive and for me it was always a pleasure to discuss with them (for instance, nice breakfast with Jim at Egg Connection restaurant). In brief I had super time at this place and very likely will be back next year."
