  • So many delightful details in this home….

"My parents rented this home for our Christmas/New Year family reunion. There are so many beautiful features of the home I don't know where to begin. No detail has been overlooked. On this trip I decided that Spanish colonial architecture is my favorite style. Everything about the home is beautiful and charming, inside and out. Sue has done a great job decorating. The light fixtures, tile work, vintage furniture, pillows were all perfect for an historical home like this one. My husband, our two children and I stayed in the “casita” master suite overlooking the patio courtyard. The suite is completely charming and no detail is overlooked. The casita is open, airy, sunny, and surrounded by trees, like living in a tree house! Despite being two blocks from downtown San Clemente, the house is pretty quiet. The bed was super comfy and we all slept amazingly. My parents slept in the “colorido” suite which opens up to the courtyard with a barbecue, plenty of patio furniture and Jacuzzi tub. The kids practically lived in that tub, and my 4 year old even learned how to swim in it! (It’s pretty big Jacuzzi.) I’m not joking when I say that he took about 3 hot tubs a day. After a day of playing at the beach and in the cold water we were grateful to be able to warm up in the Jacuzzi. The courtyard feels very private and is beautiful with plants and whimsical outdoor art. At night we turned on the outdoor lights which lent a very festive atmosphere. We spent many nights cooking and eating in the backyard and just loved it. Because my grandmother cannot walk stairs she took advantage of one of the downstairs bedrooms. Fortunately, most of the living area at Casa Mira Mar is on the first floor. I was happy to see the house was stocked with children’s toys, including beach toys, as well as a pack and play crib and high chair. The house was decorated with sweet little Christmas decorations as well, which was a nice and surprising touch. The backyard is secured with a gate which was ideal for letting the kids play outside. The kitchen is supplied with new dishes and appliances and is stocked with all the spices we needed to cook up some great meals. The home is very close to the beach and train station (we took the Surfliner to San Diego for the day). There is plenty of parking with room for three cars on the driveway and it’s easy to access the freeway from Casa Mira Mar. One of my favorite features is the sky deck with stunning views of the mountains and water."

  • Loved it ! Didn't want to leave.

"My family and I enjoyed our beach vacation at Casa de la Kasa very much. We walked to the beach everyday and enjoyed the beautiful ocean. My kids and I really enjoyed riding our boogie boards on the very nice break north of the pier past the clock tower. If you have small children that are not good swimmers then the south side of the pier is best for that. Of course hard board surfers stay north of the pier or load up the boards and head over to trestles or old mans. Time spent in the beach cottage is very comfortable and has several decks/patios to enjoy evening drinks and cool ocean breezes. We enjoyed the backyard patio and through some ribeyes on the gas grill. Plenty of space for eight to eat dinner on back patio. There is even a roof top deck with an ocean view during the day. This cottage is old school Spanish charm. So don't expect flashy ultra modern amenities. But it does have enough updates to keep you comfortable and happy. It's a very cozy beach bungalow and I recommend this place to families who love to enjoy the beach. 👍👍👍"

  • very warm & welcoming!

"We had an awesome stay at Hidden Treasure and enjoyed our visit site seeing in and around San Clemente and the surrounding area! We had a warm welcome when we arrived there late with a "goodie" basket and even a bottle of wine!! That was so thoughtful of Lisa & Russell, which we really enjoyed one evening while we watched the many beautiful sunsets when we were there. The view from the windows at Hidden Treasure is also awesome, and a great incentive of staying there. It is located in a very beautiful neighborhood too.We would recommend a stay at Hidden Treasure if you are thinking of visiting the beautiful city & beaches around San Clemente! We hope to get back again sometime soon to visit again and would definately stay at the Hidden Treasure! Thanks for all your Hospitality ! Sept 13--20- 2016 Les & Jan"
