  • Fantastic home. Clean, comfortable, and lots of room.

"We enjoyed ourselves in this home. We all had plenty of room, rooms were clean and comfortable. We loved having a patio outside to enjoy the sunshine. Also, the private pool was a big hit with my 4 kids."

  • So many delightful details in this home….

"My parents rented this home for our Christmas/New Year family reunion. There are so many beautiful features of the home I don't know where to begin. No detail has been overlooked. On this trip I decided that Spanish colonial architecture is my favorite style. Everything about the home is beautiful and charming, inside and out. Sue has done a great job decorating. The light fixtures, tile work, vintage furniture, pillows were all perfect for an historical home like this one. My husband, our two children and I stayed in the “casita” master suite overlooking the patio courtyard. The suite is completely charming and no detail is overlooked. The casita is open, airy, sunny, and surrounded by trees, like living in a tree house! Despite being two blocks from downtown San Clemente, the house is pretty quiet. The bed was super comfy and we all slept amazingly. My parents slept in the “colorido” suite which opens up to the courtyard with a barbecue, plenty of patio furniture and Jacuzzi tub. The kids practically lived in that tub, and my 4 year old even learned how to swim in it! (It’s pretty big Jacuzzi.) I’m not joking when I say that he took about 3 hot tubs a day. After a day of playing at the beach and in the cold water we were grateful to be able to warm up in the Jacuzzi. The courtyard feels very private and is beautiful with plants and whimsical outdoor art. At night we turned on the outdoor lights which lent a very festive atmosphere. We spent many nights cooking and eating in the backyard and just loved it. Because my grandmother cannot walk stairs she took advantage of one of the downstairs bedrooms. Fortunately, most of the living area at Casa Mira Mar is on the first floor. I was happy to see the house was stocked with children’s toys, including beach toys, as well as a pack and play crib and high chair. The house was decorated with sweet little Christmas decorations as well, which was a nice and surprising touch. The backyard is secured with a gate which was ideal for letting the kids play outside. The kitchen is supplied with new dishes and appliances and is stocked with all the spices we needed to cook up some great meals. The home is very close to the beach and train station (we took the Surfliner to San Diego for the day). There is plenty of parking with room for three cars on the driveway and it’s easy to access the freeway from Casa Mira Mar. One of my favorite features is the sky deck with stunning views of the mountains and water."

  • Exceeded Expectations

"Location, location, location....centrally located to everything. Karen couldn't have been more accommodating and accessible. There were (10) of us in all spread throughout the 2 floors and more than enough room. Home was clearly designed and decorated by a Interior Designer with unique touches in every corner. The pool, the courtyards, the water views.....tremendous VALUE for the price. Beds, linens, TVs and furniture have all been updated to make the surroundings very comfortable. The (4) bathrooms were all well done and the (5) bedrooms were equally laid out in terms of space. There were no shortcomings with this home. We looked at a very other rentals in the area for future travels and none compared. Well done Karen."

  • BEST beach rental we've ever done!

"Just AMAZING. After a few years of hit-or-miss beach rentals, and some owners who sadly didn’t care about the experience of their renters at all, this was SUCH a lovely experience. The moment we got in the door and saw how maintained and CLEAN this place was, and how much the owners put into making sure you have EVERYTHING you needed and more, seriously I was in happy tears. From loads of beach towels to a full stock of toilet paper and hand soaps to sand toys and a garage of games… you don’t need to worry about forgetting much of anything. Our kids loved the experience and we also appreciated all the extra parking available for visiting family and friends. The home is an older one but very well maintained. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves, and our toddlers loved the train going by behind the houses. (It’s a bit loud but we thought it was entertaining. And you don’t hear them at night.) You should know that Capistrano Beach homes are right next to each other, so you don’t have much privacy from neighbors, but the beach community itself is very private, so you still feel secluded in so many ways. And we loved how close you are to other attractions such as Laguna Beach and Fashion Island. Bravo for such a wonderful experience! We will be back :)"
