  • Family reunion

"Amazing stay! Most well equipped rental we've ever stayed in and the property manager was amazing. Any small issue and he's be on site in less than an hour. Easy walk to the beach and shops too. We would love to come back again to San Clemente and stay at the casa cazador."

  • Beautiful San Clemente

"This place is awesome. We were trying to plan a last minute getaway for 2 adults and 5 kids right before going back to school and we were very fortunate to find the listing on vrbo and the WesternWhiteHousessc web site. We spoke with Colby , the owner, and he'd just had a cancelation. We can't say enough about this experience and this property the pictures speak for themselves. What I can say that the pictures won't is that the family that owns this place is incredible. Colby was incredibile and accommodating -- the answer to all of our questions throughout the stay about where to eat what to do and a couple little items at the house they were easily explained. Colby came a couple times to service the pool and the gardening and one day even stopped by with wine and flowers to welcome us to his home. The view is incredible and the backyard is like your own little private paradise. The front yard is perfect for coffee and reading the newspaper (yes I still read my newspaper) and the neighbors are extremely friendly in a very upscale neighbor. The newest neighbor is the owner of SKULL CANDY and I'm fairly sure my children have spent enough with his company to help pay for his 3 million dollar home. The pool/spa/water-slide/waterfall combo was such a great time for all that even the adults couldn't stay out of the pool. There's a big built in bbq/countertop in the back yard, and a large open kitchen that we took advantage of daily and a brand new portable BBQ as back up or you could different types of meat on."

  • Comfortable and a great size

"My wife and I stayed at Jeff and Deb's place for several days and it was centrally located between San Diego and Long Beach where we were spending several days. Both decks are great and we would hang out in the mornings to drink coffee before walking down to Ellie's on the beach for breakfast before spending the day on the beach. The kitchen is outfitted better than most of the VRBO units we have stayed in so we could have cooked meals if we were not out enjoying all of the local restaurants. There was plenty of room if we had more than just the two of us but it was cozy for us also."

  • So many delightful details in this home….

"My parents rented this home for our Christmas/New Year family reunion. There are so many beautiful features of the home I don't know where to begin. No detail has been overlooked. On this trip I decided that Spanish colonial architecture is my favorite style. Everything about the home is beautiful and charming, inside and out. Sue has done a great job decorating. The light fixtures, tile work, vintage furniture, pillows were all perfect for an historical home like this one. My husband, our two children and I stayed in the “casita” master suite overlooking the patio courtyard. The suite is completely charming and no detail is overlooked. The casita is open, airy, sunny, and surrounded by trees, like living in a tree house! Despite being two blocks from downtown San Clemente, the house is pretty quiet. The bed was super comfy and we all slept amazingly. My parents slept in the “colorido” suite which opens up to the courtyard with a barbecue, plenty of patio furniture and Jacuzzi tub. The kids practically lived in that tub, and my 4 year old even learned how to swim in it! (It’s pretty big Jacuzzi.) I’m not joking when I say that he took about 3 hot tubs a day. After a day of playing at the beach and in the cold water we were grateful to be able to warm up in the Jacuzzi. The courtyard feels very private and is beautiful with plants and whimsical outdoor art. At night we turned on the outdoor lights which lent a very festive atmosphere. We spent many nights cooking and eating in the backyard and just loved it. Because my grandmother cannot walk stairs she took advantage of one of the downstairs bedrooms. Fortunately, most of the living area at Casa Mira Mar is on the first floor. I was happy to see the house was stocked with children’s toys, including beach toys, as well as a pack and play crib and high chair. The house was decorated with sweet little Christmas decorations as well, which was a nice and surprising touch. The backyard is secured with a gate which was ideal for letting the kids play outside. The kitchen is supplied with new dishes and appliances and is stocked with all the spices we needed to cook up some great meals. The home is very close to the beach and train station (we took the Surfliner to San Diego for the day). There is plenty of parking with room for three cars on the driveway and it’s easy to access the freeway from Casa Mira Mar. One of my favorite features is the sky deck with stunning views of the mountains and water."
