  • Great back yard!

"We loved staying here for a long weekend. Great house and even better back yard. If you want to get away but still be a five minute drive from town this is the place. Quiet, very private, comfortable. We'd like to come back and stay longer!"

  • Utterly Charming!!!!

"I've rented numerous houses in Santa Cruz over the years and this house stands tall above the rest. I stayed at this house with my two teenage grandkiddos as an end of summer treat. The rental process was simple. The owner's responsiveness was very fast. The process for getting the key was the simplest I've found. The house itself was lovely, very well-cared for and spotlessly clean. (A very important issue for me!) The owner's furnishings were attractive, welcoming and comfortable. The kitchen was really well stocked and all of the extra amenities like beach towels and boogie boards (and tons of toilet paper) were thoughtful and in excellent condition! And indeed the house is only a few minutes walk from the Boardwalk. Despite that closeness, the street and neighborhood was quiet and quite lovely. Picturesque old Santa Cruz homes are right there! Being able to have a driveway to park in was also really a treat. I will absolutely plan on staying here again! Thank you for making our stay a quite wonderful one!"

  • Thanksgiving stay

"We stayed at this beach house for a week at Thanksgiving. We are a family of 4, with 2 daughters aged 8 and 10, a small dog, and my parents came and joined us for a couple of nights. The house was perfect. We had very cold weather during our stay and King tides, so I was grateful for the fabulous fires, which heated the house within minutes. I also appreciated the location, being not right on the beach. It was close enough for our kids to walk down and hang out playing in the sand on their own, but away from the king tide that hit. We could also walk into Stinson for dinner, to the well stocked shop or for a coffee and to potter around. The house looks small from the outside, but inside it was perfect for our family and the outdoor area would be great in warmer weather. Our girls loved being in the shared room, with day beds and their own TV. My husband had to work during our stay and he called Karen about internet access and she responded immediately and an engineer was at the house the same day. That is better service than we get at home! This is our third year spending Thanksgiving at the beach and this has been my favourite property by far. It was clean, well furnished, cozy and quaint, but with the feeling it is well maintained and cared for. On asking my daughter what she liked about the house she said ' It felt like home'. A much praised comment indeed."

  • A great time had by all!

"We had a lot of fun at this house. We stayed in October for 3 nights. We had two babies and 5 adults. We were greeted by Michael and he gave us a tour of the house. As you can see by the pictures, it's a very eclectic house, which makes it even more fun. After touring the wineries during the day, we enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, playing pool in the game room, and going in the hot tub. We mentioned to Michael that we were Cubs fans and hoped we could get the playoffs, and he upgraded his cable just for us! I also left behind 2 swimsuits, and he is mailing them to us. This is a very fun property to stay at!!"
