  • Great deal!

"We stayed here for Fest 15. It was perfect! About 10 minutes from all the venues. Def most affordable option for Fest. We come to Gainesville every year at this time and will def try to rent this place again! ** to the person who said this neighborhood was unsafe- we encountered several of the neighbors and they were all extremely friendly. The area was quiet and nice. Never once did I feel unsafe!!"

  • Paradise Found

"We stayed in the RV and our friends stayed in the cottage over New Years. Amazing! The RV was so cozy, we were able to prepare dinner to enjoy on the covered porch, fires every night, and paddling every day. We were able to paddle the Santa Fe in both directions, the water level was fairly low and paddling against the current was no problem, so no need to even leave the property it you have your own canoes or kayaks. We highly recommend Turtle Heaven and plan to return for another stay. Such a wonderful, relaxing, and private experience. Took as many outdoor showers as possible! Do not hesitate to book this place if you are a lover of paddling, nature, and the outdoors. Pam and Lance were lovely hosts as well, very welcoming and accommodating. Five star experience for sure."

  • Wonderful little vacation home

"We rented a large house just down the road for a large family Thanksgiving get together and needed a little more space and this house was perfect. The location is great with all the equipment you need to enjoy the river. It was spotless and comfy. Perfect for couple or small family getaway. Don't expect internet but this is not why you go to the rive anyway it is a beautiful place. My GPS actually took me right to the house by my wife's did not so do get good directions. Highly recommend this cute vacation home."

  • Turtle Palace- Heaven on Earth

"We just returned home from a great 4 days of kayaking, resting, and thoroughly enjoying the "great life" at The Turtle Palace. We kayaked from the 441 bridge to River Rise and back downstream to Hwy 27 bridge. The 2nd day was spent boating the Ichetucknee River, where we saw manatees, to the Santa Fe and the Hwy 129 bridge. After this awesome trip we relaxed on the dock following a nice hot outdoors shower (in February no less). The 3rd day, we kayaked from Hwy 27 bridge to Rum Island Park and stopped en route at Poe Springs Park and Lily Springs. That afternoon, we hiked to the sink at O'Leno State Park. Thursday morning we hiked at River Rise Park to the Rise. Jim already plans to revisit in two weeks. Pam and Lance do a tremendous job in making your trip a remarkable journey."
