  • Perfect vacation!

"We just had an amazing week in this house at Alligator Point. Kathy is very prompt in answering questions and getting back to me with any concerns I had. The house is very well kept and it is in a prime location on the "island"....across the street from the marina and tiki bar and of course just steps away from the gorgeous and always changing gulf. If you are looking to get back to nature, this is the place you want to be. The beds are clean and comfortable, the towels are soft and clean. The kitchen is well stocked and the wifi worked well too. I usually try to find a place with a screened in porch, but the sitting area underneath the house serves the same purpose (staying out of the sun) and still gives you gorgeous views. What we gained by not having a screened porch is being able to gaze at the incredible night sky with the stars amazing us with their beauty. We also saw some fantastic lightening storms from way way off in the distance at night which was breathtaking. We highly recommend this place!"

"We stayed during Hurricane Matthew due to not being able to stay on the Atlantic coast. This house was awesome! Everything was provided except food. Thanks, Two Cousins and a Kid"

  • Wow! Found our vacation house for years to come!

"This was the first house my family has rented, and were a bit nervous about the whole process. Jim, the owner, took the time to email and call us and answer any and all our questions. The rental process went very smoothly. The pictures don't lie! This house was just as the pictures look on the website (no unpleasant surprises). Ok, the house is actually better than the pictures. House - the house is open concept at it's best. The living room, dinning room and kitchen are one big room, yet cleverly separated (this is where everyone hung out when inside and there was plenty of seating). There is also a big room upstairs that's another great place to hang out (this is where our kids hung out with each other). The house has such an open feeling to it with all the windows. On one side you look out into the bay (where dolphins could be seen every morning) and on the other side you're looking at the ocean. The bedrooms are decent size and no one felt crowded (we had six kids with us). Bathrooms were roomy (enough for mom to change and bath/shower kids with another kid brushing their teeth). The front deck (facing ocean) is like a room itself. Lots of conversation/bonding took place on it. The back deck was used to view the bay. The house is next to other houses, but you couldn't tell when you were in the house (quiet neighborhood). House was very clean and comfortable. Beach - Literally footsteps away. We felt like we had our own private beach. You could look down yonder and see a group of people that was a public beach, but no one was near us. This was nice for we could let the kids spread out on the beach with their stuff/toys and not worry about anyone taking anything. There were crabs, starfish, fish, hermit crabs, and such that could be found during the day. Yet not too many that any of the kids were afraid to swim in the ocean. At night the kids liked to walk the beach with a flashlight and see all the fiddle crabs - like all hundreds of them! We found shells, built sand castles, took walks, flew kites, and just hung out on the beach. The first night at the house, while sitting out on the beach watching the sun set, my husband asked me, "How much do you think Jim wants for the place?" Needless to stay, we love the house! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and reluctantly recommend it to others (who may take it the week we want to come back :) Seriously, this house is a treasure."

  • Best stay ever!

"We loved our month long visit to the Spotted Grouper! It was exactly as described. The Grouper was very clean and well maintained. When the washing machine quit working, the problem was addressed immediately. Everything is on one level and the owners have made this beach cottage so welcoming. It sleeps four comfortably and the kitchen is well appointed for preparing meals while staying there. We loved the short walk to the beach and enjoyed watching the sunrise. We also loved seeing a bald eagle, many other shore birds as well as the dolphins. The shelling was good, too!"
