  • Wow! Found our vacation house for years to come!

"This was the first house my family has rented, and were a bit nervous about the whole process. Jim, the owner, took the time to email and call us and answer any and all our questions. The rental process went very smoothly. The pictures don't lie! This house was just as the pictures look on the website (no unpleasant surprises). Ok, the house is actually better than the pictures. House - the house is open concept at it's best. The living room, dinning room and kitchen are one big room, yet cleverly separated (this is where everyone hung out when inside and there was plenty of seating). There is also a big room upstairs that's another great place to hang out (this is where our kids hung out with each other). The house has such an open feeling to it with all the windows. On one side you look out into the bay (where dolphins could be seen every morning) and on the other side you're looking at the ocean. The bedrooms are decent size and no one felt crowded (we had six kids with us). Bathrooms were roomy (enough for mom to change and bath/shower kids with another kid brushing their teeth). The front deck (facing ocean) is like a room itself. Lots of conversation/bonding took place on it. The back deck was used to view the bay. The house is next to other houses, but you couldn't tell when you were in the house (quiet neighborhood). House was very clean and comfortable. Beach - Literally footsteps away. We felt like we had our own private beach. You could look down yonder and see a group of people that was a public beach, but no one was near us. This was nice for we could let the kids spread out on the beach with their stuff/toys and not worry about anyone taking anything. There were crabs, starfish, fish, hermit crabs, and such that could be found during the day. Yet not too many that any of the kids were afraid to swim in the ocean. At night the kids liked to walk the beach with a flashlight and see all the fiddle crabs - like all hundreds of them! We found shells, built sand castles, took walks, flew kites, and just hung out on the beach. The first night at the house, while sitting out on the beach watching the sun set, my husband asked me, "How much do you think Jim wants for the place?" Needless to stay, we love the house! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and reluctantly recommend it to others (who may take it the week we want to come back :) Seriously, this house is a treasure."

  • Wonderful...wonderful...wonderful.

"We arrived to a clean orderly house and spent 7 days 7 nights of absolute perfection. The beach was quite and oh so peaceful. The sunsets and sunrise were breath taking. Enjoyed watching Dolphins, searching for shells, starfish and sand dollars. We couldn't bring ourselves to keep any...felt we should leave nature along for the next people to enjoy seeing. When Saturday came no one wanted to leave. We have found our peace of heaven at the beach...we are already checking calendar and family member's schedules so we can book for next year. Can't wait to visit again and stay in this wonderful home."

  • Perfect secluded getaway

"In the Panacea area if you ask "How far is Disney?" the response is: "Not far enough." This place is real old Florida with all the luxuries of home. The home is on the beach, but not on the beach--it's actually on the non-beach side of a very lightly travelled road (really more of a path). It's tucked into some trees, overlooking a marshy lake area to the rear--very private, very quiet, but a beach view from the screened porch and a very short stroll to the Gulf of Mexico--perfect. The "beach" houses across the street don't have this much privacy. When we were there the house appeared to be freshly painted and the kitchen like new. The house is perfect for a couple or a small family. All kitchen tools, good internet and Direct TV. Comfy beds and furniture. Decent restaurants close. Absolutely perfect. We will be back."

  • The Heavenly Sunrise was truly magical

"I don't remember what brought me to this area of Florida, but when I came, I immediately knew that this was a special place. There were white sand beaches, it felt peaceful and it was picturesque. I brought my wife to the area to see if she wanted to have our annual family vacation here and she agreed. I searched for properties that could accommodate our family of ten. I found this house and immediately I knew that I wanted to rent it. The house had a presence that impacted me, it stood high, almost soaring over the other houses in the area. It was very pretty. I rented the house and brought my family here; from Rhode Island, Pennsylvania , New Jersey and central Florida. The house we found to be in great condition, comfortable and with all the amenities that my family needed for a beach vacation. We had a great time, lazy days at the beach, family dinners every day at the house. I polled my family as to where they would like to vacation next year, and they agreed that it should be right here, in this house. Our thanks to the owner Sharon for sharing this beautiful home with my family."
