  • Peaceful Retreat

"If you are looking for a truly secluded, private beach house then this is the place you are looking for! This home is well appointed and has everything you will need to make your stay enjoyable. The bedroom upstairs is large and airy with a balcony to enjoy your morning coffee. Love the steps outside that go to the balcony which made it easy for our dog that is going blind to get upstairs at night. We literally saw less than 10 people on the beach the entire week. The walkway to the beach platform is safe and convenient as well as the little bridge that takes you to the gorgeous beach with miles of white sand. You can pick up equipment at Crums In Panecea to go crabbing in the little lagoon, which is hours of relaxing fun. If you are interested in fishing, Crums can set you up for that as well including a chart of the high and low tide times. We enjoyed walking the flats at low tide and gathering shells as well as fishing from the beach at high tide. My husband caught a Hammerhead right off the beach as well as a Red Drum. We didn't eat out but Steve can provide information on local, nearby restaurants as well as the other touristy things to do in the area. We have taken a few vacations to beaches and this was by far the most relaxing place we have ever found. We will definitely return and recommend this little slice of Heaven to anyone we meet looking for a quiet, relaxing place to unwind and regroup! Thanks Steve and Nancy!"

  • Spectacular House. Clean, Comfortable, and decorated beautifully.

"We could not have asked for a nicer vacation home. We walked in and were amazed at just how nice it was. Better than the pictures as someone has mentioned before. The place was very clean. Furniture was clean and relaxing and the floors were spotless. No sand on the floor. Not one speck. Hard to do when the house sits RIGHT ON THE BEACH! Everything you need it there. Dishes, pots, pans, utensils, ziplock bags, can opener, wine stopper, storage containers, cutting boards, toaster, coffee pot, etc etc. You know how most places say "everything you need"...well this place has it. We packed light because of the washer/dryer amenities, but, we could have packed much lighter even. They have books to read, games, cards, shovels/pails, beach umbrellas, and lawn chairs. They provide flash lights for walking the beach at night, we used the several pair of binoculars provided for bird watching, and the 3 person canoe is a ton of fun. I would give a 10+ for the house! The beach is also great as you are just 30 steps from nice white sands. It is very natural, lots of "sea weed" washes up, and you share your sunning spot with many, many crabs. Pelicans and sea birds are in abundance to observe as well. Lots and Lots of fishing going on. As to the location. It is definitely not touristy. Very laid back, casual and southern. We had such a relaxing time as we found there was not much to do in the surrounding small towns. Not a bad thing, just don't expect to find a lot of entertainment besides the beach. We are from a small town so we fit right in! The only negative I like to point out is the water. It is very murky. It was more like swimming in a river than the gulf. The Ochlocknee River basin is not to far from this area and empties into the gulf as this point. That is the cause of the water conditions along this area I was told. Not a total deal breaker, but, we were hoping for the clear, blue waters of the gulf."

  • Enjoyable time at St Theresa Beach!

"We really enjoyed our stay at this Hidden Gem ! The accommodations were very clean and comfortable, with a huge front porch that was perfect for early morning coffee and watching the sunrise. The beach is only a few steps from the house and our two hairy children (okay, they are actually dogs but don't tell them!) had the time of their lives playing in the waves and on the shoreline. It was so refreshing!! We will be returning as soon as our schedules will allow!"

  • Great family vacation rental!

"My family and I had a wonderful time at the Cochran House! It is very secluded and quiet. It is a wonderful place to wind down and relax. The weather was phenomenal the whole time. The house was very clean and spacious and filled with tons of household items that are available for you to use. The screened in porch was one of our family's favorite features of this house. It is huge with lots of comfortable furniture and a big hammock. Great place for early morning coffee. The ocean is right out the back door. It is filled with marine life. We saw sting rays and dolphins every day and some of the dolphins swam within 5 feet from us! The waves are not rough, so it is a great area for small kids to swim. We paddle boarded and kayaked several times and loved it! There is a sand bar, and every night at low tide we would go out to it and search for sea shells - most of which are inhabited by crabs and snails. There are great local seafood restaurants in the area. We went to Coastal Cafe and Mad Anthony's Waterfront Grille and enjoyed both of them. We also visited St. George Island a couple days while there and climbed the lighthouse. Blue Parrot Cafe is a nice place to eat if you visit St. George, and if you have a sweet tooth Aunt Ebby's Ice Cream is a great place to visit as well. All in all, we had a great time on our vacation to St. Teresa Beach. The caretakers were very helpful and kind to us throughout our stay. We would love to come back again in the future. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us! The Bailey Family"
