  • Perfect Vacation

"We went with another couple and everything was great. The condo had everything you need and it was clean. The sunsets every evening were incredible from our balcony ! Just steps to the beach & all the beach stuff is there to use(coolers, chairs ,umbrellas) The weather was so perfect, we almost never left the gorgeous property! The owners were friendly & easy to communicate with. I would totally recommend this place to anyone (35 or older) looking for a relaxing tropical get away."

"Beautiful view from the 18th floor balcony. Quiet and clean condo in a gated property. Easy access to the beach. Heated pool. It was a great winter get away, loved every minute of it. The owner and property manager were friendly and easy to work with."

  • Fantastic

"Rented two condos off VRBO for first time this year in Marco. Absolutely fantastic time. Just generally to Marco Island, we thought the island was heaven. Definitely would recommend the Gulf Coast to anyone thinking of Florida (warmer water, calmer) and Marco Island is really the best in my mind. Some may dispute because the sand is shelly, but we have small kids, so that was one of the nicest parts for shelling and exploring. Specific to South Seas and Craig's condo: South Seas is on the more laid back, permanent resident side of the beach. The other side is high end hotels and more of a party atmosphere. South Seas is especially appealing for seniors and parents with small children, though I would go there without kids any time. You'll probably see from other reviews that the beach is a hike from the condos, but we really didn't find it a big deal at all, and Craig provides a beach cart if you're really hauling stuff. We have a six year old and two year old and had no problems. Also keeping in mind that a hotel room on the other side can go for double and triple the amount per night, a walk to the beach was an easy trade off. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores available by easy, short drive. For those used to living in a big city, you'll be mostly using a car to get to these amenities, but that's true basically anywhere in southwest Florida. We stayed in two different condos in South Seas, and this condo was clearly superior. Nicely done and thought given to the amenities. Lots of chairs, toys, beach cart. The spare bedroom had two double beds, where lots of condos just have singles. The advantage is you could bring more adults with the kids, and we plan on bringing friends or grandma next time. Carpeted bedrooms was really nice for the kids so they could sit on the floor and play, as lots of these condos have tile floors throughout. Definitely will be renting with Craig again. We stayed in May, which was an awesome time to stay. Perfect days, low season, hardly anyone around, and a great big pool lots of times to ourselves. Both our kids were started with floaties, and were swimming without after our time here. May is a perfect time to go with small children."

  • Great Condo on the beach!

"We just returned from a wonderful family vacation on Marco Island. It is important to our family that we stay in a comfortable place when we vacation. This Somerset second floor unit was exactly that. First, off the owner, Bob, was great at communicating, quickly answering all our questions. He sent the keys ahead of time and provided a prepaid envelope to mail them back. In the past, we have had key issues when getting into this building and this made the start to our vacation a breeze. There is nothing worse then getting to your condo with luggage, groceries, tired and hungry family members and not being able to get into your condo. Big plus! The condo was clean and well decorated for a beach vacation. The pictures on the website are accurate except for the living area. There is a new sofa and chairs which was a nice surprise. The TV is a nice size and there is a binder with lots of menus from the local restaurants in the area. This helped us when choosing where to dine (more later). We loved having breakfast on the good size lanai, watching the joggers, walkers and dolphins. The condo has a large closet that is clean and organized with beach and pool items. There were plenty of beach towels, chairs and umbrellas that were all in great condition. This was a big deal for us as we have stayed at other condos in the Somerset where both were either broken or lacking. Both bedrooms were spacious and had plenty of closet space and drawers for our belongings and each having their own TV which was really nice as we like to watch a little TV before we go to sleep. The kitchen was well equipped with updated appliances. All in all a great condo that we will definitely not hesitate to return too. This is our 4th time to Marco Island and 4th time at the Somerset, so we are familiar with most of the restaurants but here are our favorites as I am told by my 20 year olds that I am very picky, true. I love food. Ne-Ne’s is great for breakfast and if you are there for lunch they have a to-die-for tuna fish sandwich. Fin Bistro is a little pricey but so worth it, amazing food. Da Vinci’s and Nacho Mama’s are great! For a fun time and live music try Stan’s for great people watching and casual eating. Thanks Bob for sharing your beautiful condo. It helped to make our family vacation memorable."
