  • Island Time

"Our week on Palm Island was a wonderful experience. From kayaking and fishing in the lagoon; swimming, shell hunting, walking, and building sandcastles on the beautiful beach; riding bikes and the golf cart to explore the island; and jogging in the mornings, there was plenty to do here. We even enjoyed watching the afternoon storms from the wrap around porch. We also loved watching the dolphins in the lagoon and the ocean. The remote, laid back atmosphere of the island made it easy to unplug from the world and reconnect as a family. The owner was very accomodating and informative. Our only regret is that the mosquitos were terrible this time of year, so we were unable to utilize the "party porch" downstairs in the evenings. This can be remedied by bringing lots of bugspray and citronella candles. We are looking forward to our next visit to this beautiful island."

  • Beach time sunrise to sunset!

"What a wonderful vacation in such an amazing home. Beach time is great because you could always hang out in the shade of the house if it gets too hot. The Gulf is nice and calm most of the time, so you don't really need a pool to just chill out in the water. The house is stocked with all the kitchen necessities, plenty of towels, linens, pillows, games, crayons, binoculars, sand toys, floats, kiddie inflatable pool, bait net, etc. The house has cable TV with plenty of HD channels. Wifi and a golf cart was included which was nice for the times when we needed something to do. There is also the preserve close by. We went on a walk on the path through there a couple times which was nice. The only part of the vacation that was a bit stressful was the water taxi. The captains aren't very hospitable so just ignore their grouchiness when booking a pick up (make sure you schedule a week ahead of time). We had never had a vacation like this so packing was interesting, grocery shopping was tough and loading onto the water taxi could have been better coordinated. My advise to newbies... When the reviews say "pack light", that means don't pack anything you think the house won't have, because it will. We didn't need extra trash bags, towels or toys (for toddler) since there was plenty there. And we brought WAY too many clothes. There is a washer and dryer in the house so for the 8 days we literally did not wear anything more that 2 or 3 bathing suits, 1 pair of sandals, 2 sets of PJs, a couple of cover ups (or T's for the guys), a hat and that's it! Since we are now experienced with the water taxi, next time we will just do a better job of packing less and combining bags as much as possible for groceries. Overall, we had such a great time doing nothing all week. Thanks Sari and Glen!"

  • Wonderful!

"Came here in March of 2016 with my two young children and husband. The condo was wonderful- it was super clean and had everything we needed- it was great that we did not need to bring towels, beach toys, etc... The location cannot be beat. The H building is close to the gulf so it was an easy walk down to the beach every morning. We loved looking for shells and playing in the sand and surf. My kids enjoyed the pool and swam there every day too. The beach was great- not crowded at all and we saw dolphins swimming off the shore almost everyday at sunrise or sunset. We also spotted a ton of lizards, birds (there was an osprey nest right near the condo building) and even a tortoise. So amazing! On the mainland there is a Publix nearby and a several restaurants within driving distance. We had a great dinner at the Stump Pass Grill which is a tiki bar at the Stump Pass Marina. It was wonderful to eat casual food outside and enjoy the weather. We would come here again in a heartbeat (and will definitely plan a return trip!). Orlando was great- he called to make sure we had everything and even helped us arrange for a ferry ride over to the mainland on the day we left when we needed to return before the condo ferry started running. Great place- we highly recommend it!!!!"

  • Fantastic location - lovely house

"We just got back from our trip to Little Gasparilla. First time to the island, but I'm sure not our last! So peaceful, slightly rustic, but close to civilization. Great fishing and beach combing. Great for family time. We brought our two dogs who had just as much fun. Cindy was great to work with - so accessible and accommodating. The house is very well stocked and furnished. Beds were very comfortable. Nice supply of beach toys and accessories so no need to bring your own. Another nice and unexpected touch was that she takes care to stock plenty of toiletry essentials and paper goods which is rare in my experience with other rentals, but very welcome in a location where everything must be brought in by boat. The house will sleep up to 8, but is really more comfortable for four as that is really all that the living room will comfortably seat. Also, be aware that because of the open design, noise travels a lot, particularly for those in the upstairs loft room. Not a criticism, because the inside of the home is lovely, but an important point if you have those in your party who might be early or much later to bed or wake! There is also a glass paned set of French doors to the loft bedroom, which does limit privacy a bit. We thought the location was just perfect - equal distance between the beach and the dock. We rented the two kayaks and had much fun with them, both from the beach and out back in the mangroves. I would not hesitate to stay here again, both on the island, and at the Dolphin Pass house. Thanks agsin, Stan and Cindy!"
