  • Cozy Comfortable Convenient

"The cottage is in back of the main house on a beautiful and historic street, surrounded by a lush garden. Very peaceful. Near to downtown Hilo and easy access to the belt road. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly, and even greeted us with fresh pineapple and juice. Lucky for us, they also shared their washer dryer, which was very welcome. So thank you. We are frequent visitors and hope to return."

  • Spacious island paradise!

"This property is so open and comfortable, even for my crazy family of 6 who never get along. 4 showers! 4 bedrooms! Nice lanai, and a bunch of little sitting areas around the house. Loved the vaulted ceilings and open view of kitchen from second floor. And one of the bedrooms made the perfect movie room! No A/C, but there are so many ceiling fans and the perfect open layout to catch the breeze so it didn't matter. Starr was very welcoming and reached out beforehand to make sure we'd have everything we'd need on arrival. I've stayed at 2 other places since I left and I want to go back! So grateful :)"

  • Peaceful getaway

"We loved, loved, loved our stay! The suite and the setting are so beautiful. Randall's attention to detail is outstanding. We spent 3 nights on the Hilo side and wished we had a longer stay there, next time. Thank you Randall for sharing things to do. The farmers market and the park with the Japanese theme were awesome. Glenn and I would have loved to spend more time talking with you, but we really weren't there long enough. The lovely hens and the ferrel rooster were fun to watch while sitting outside on the lanai. Is he still hanging around? Thank you for such a wonderful slice of heaven. All the best to you Glenn and Jeanmarie"

  • Convenient and Comfortable

"Ww spent a week in Hilo and enjoyed the property very much. Now and Zen suited us perfectly with well equipped kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms and a very nice bathroom. The unit was attractively decorated. The location was very good for walking into downtown Hilo in just a few minutes or getting out on the highway to head for Volcano National Park, out to Pahoa or up the coast. The hosts were helpful and relaxed. By the way, thanks so much for the apple bananas from your garden--one of our favourite Hawaiian treats. Thanks for a great stay in a town with an old Hawaii feel we really enjoyed. We hope to come back"
