  • Perfect introduction to the Big Island!

"Everything about renting this condo was top notch. The owner went out of his way to make sure our 11 night stay was perfect. The condo was thoroughly stocked with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, furnishings were nice and the kitchen was equipped with the necessities and then some. The location of the condo was great. There was a short walk to the bbq/pool which we used a few times. Beautiful walk to the beach. Wonderful snorkeling right at the property. I highly recommend this condo for a family or couples traveling together or for anyone wanting to relax and enjoy a peaceful, beautiful vacation. Great experience!"

  • Loved it all. Peaceful and relaxing vacation.

"This was our first stay in the Mauna Lani area. We stayed in G201 from 3/20-3/26 and loved every minute of it. My DH even said upon entering “If I had known the place was so nice, we could’ve stayed here the whole time.” (Before arriving here, we stayed in Volcano for 3 nights.) I will say I wanted to stay closer to the water but the view from the lanai was great. We could see the ocean and sometimes hear the waves. The only issue I had was that sounds from the lanais seemed to echo off the other buildings. This is a low density complex which never ever seemed crowded. Several times we felt we had the place to ourselves. This unit was huge for a one bedroom. Nice big kitchen, roomy living area and 2 full bathrooms. The couch makes into a bed, although we didn’t use it. I was thinking we could bring along one of our nieces next time and they could have the couch and their own bathroom. The bed was comfy and waking up to seeing palm trees outside was always a treat. We did have an issue with ants in the kitchen. When I called about them, we were brought ant traps. These seemed to work well, but we would still occasionally see ants here and there. No big deal to us. We kept all food in the fridge. Lots of towels available, but only one real beach towel. You know the kind of long and colorful towels you take to the beach. We discovered later that bigger “beach towels” were in the unit, but they were white. This is one thing I think they could improve upon. We did like having a washer and dryer in the unit and used it a few times. There was laundry detergent already there and available. The terraces are a quick walk to Makaiwa Bay and the beach. They have cabanas and loungers for use. The snorkeling here is some of the best I’ve ever experienced. Lots and lots of fish in very clear water once you are about 25 yards from the beach. Snorkel early in the day for the best conditions. We went one afternoon and the water was a little choppy. The adjacent fish ponds make for a nice relaxing walk around the area. It’s also a nice walk over to the Mauna Lani Hotel for drinks and dinner. The pool and BBQ area were rarely busy. I went to the pool 3 times and had it all to myself. BBQs you can reserve time at or they have a grill and go BBQ if you don’t want to eat there. There’s a Foodland grocery store about a mile away. They have a nice deli and fresh food selections if you don’t want to cook. What I was missing was an ABC store, but it’s about"

  • Beautiful property convenient location for snorkeling

"The property is beautiful. It sits about 150 yards from the ocean. It doesn't seem that far as between the ocean and the condo is a fish pond. Lots of trees make for a Beautiful sunset. If you like to swim or snorkel swimming is straight shot and really great snorkeling is another 200 yards south which is a beautiful walk along the many fishponds"

  • All the great reviews are true!

"My family of five stayed here for a week in July. David was very easy to work with prior to our arrival, and he checked in via email during our stay to make sure everything was fine. Clearly he and his wife are well traveled. Their condo included everything that a vacationer could ever need. High end toiletries, a well stocked pantry, dish and laundry soap, and a ton of amenities were all included. The welcoming gift basket (Kona coffee, tropical fruit, macadamia nuts, cookies...) was a very nice touch. The condo itself was the nicest we've ever rented. Tastefully furnished, impeccably clean, and in a location that was serene and breathtakingly beautiful. The only downer was checking out on our last day! So sad to have left this paradise."
