  • Awesome Place

"We were in Kona for our daughter’s wedding, and absolutely loved our five nights at Mike’s oceanfront condo in the Kona Bali Kai. You look at and hear the ocean from the living room as well as the master bedroom. Hearing the surf at night and waking to the sun gleaming on the palm trees is absolute heaven!! The condo is on the 4th floor with a lanai overlooking the water---you can’t get much closer!! From the lanai we watched sea turtles, porpoise, surfers, fishermen, canoe races, and sunsets. Mike’s list of things to do in the area was of great help and very much appreciated. The condo is well equipped with everything you need including beach towels, beach chairs, and umbrellas. There is also a clean and well maintained BBQ and picnic table on the lawn just steps away from the ocean, and a pool for your use on the premises. The condo has been kept immaculately clean and is beautifully decorated. It was unusually hot, so we appreciated the air-conditioning from time to time; but most of the time we just had the sea breeze flowing through the condo. Also, it is only about a 5 minute drive to Kona’s historic village area. We have already reserved our next stay for 2016, but will be staying longer next time.......can’t wait!! Thanks for opening up your house to us Mike!!"

  • Location, Location, Location !!!

"We just returned home from a wonderful stay at this condo. The location can't be beat. Right on the water with the best view ever. Quiet location and within perfect walking distance to downtown Kona and all of the shops and restaurants. Hopefully, we will be able to return soon."

  • Exceeded all Expectations

"This is the perfect location to be quite if you want to be or walk to town to be part of the action. Bruce & Karrie's unit is truly amazing. The Lanai is right over the ocean. A school of Spinner Dolphins swam by every morning. The unit has everything you need for cooking and is very clean and comfortable. The storage box on the Lanai has everything you need to enjoy the beach. One tip - Open the Lanai doors at night and the bedroom window, the ocean breeze and the sound of the waves crashing will make you sleep like never before. The location is perfect for walking to the action in town. Thank you!"

  • awesome ocean front condo

"just came back from a one week vacation in kona reef - A17 condo. the condo is awesome, super clean, super equipped kitchen, large lanai with direct view of the ocean (litterally like 20 yards from the ocean). the master bedroom is roomy with comfy king bed. the second bedroom is smaller, but nice with a queen bed. there is no A/C in the unit - but you get nice ocean breeze and get lulled to sleep with waves and surf background sounds. living room is very comforable and nicely decorated, you have one table in dining room and one table on the lanai (perfect for your breakfast looking at the ocean and the surfers). the owners are living in Kona and we needed their help with one minor issue during our stay with a clogged kitchen sink pipe and within a few hours it was fixed - so super responsive and helpful. the condo complex grounds is very nice and well maintained, there are four outdoor BBQ to cook your stuff an a very nice pool overlooking the ocean. the views from the lanai are superb (sunset on the ocean directly from the lanai...) some beach gears are included in the condo for your usage (beach chairs, large umbrella, volleyball, cooler and some kids beach toys) - very helpful. there are some TVs in the condo, but frankly we didn`t even turn on any of the TVs during our stay - there is so much things to do and see on Big Island -. the wifi was working fine throughout our stay. the process to access the condo is very straightforward with a key box next to the condo door. - you get the key box code from the owner one week before your arrival - . the next morning you just have to report back to the condo management office (opens at 10 AM) to get your parking pass and some pool towels for your stay. this is a great place. we would go back anytime. Enjoy. parking is either outdoor or underground, and we had no issues with parking space, etc.."
