  • Perfect Hawaii vacation

"My husband and I and are two adult children decided to ditch the turkey and tinsel and instead, have a family Christmas vacation in Hawaii. We had a wonderful time! The owners were very responsive and easy to work with. They provided us with easy to follow directions and a host of ideas as to what we could see and do during our stay. We stayed for 6 nights and it provided us with a comfortable base to discover Big Island. We drove across to the Hilo side of the island to visit the National Volcanoes Park which was really interesting but it made us glad we had chosen the Kona side for our main accommodation as the beaches are so much nicer on this side. Our favorite beach was just north of the airport and required about a mile long drive down an unmade road but it was worth the effort as I got to swim with so many turtles! The complex was beautifully maintained and the pool and Jacuzzi area was never overcrowded. The views of sunset from the pool area were amazing! The accommodation is spacious and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans and having the washer and dryer to use was very helpful. Perhaps the only issue we had was that the internet Wi-Fi signal wasn't very good. It is about a 20 minute walk into the center of Kona where there are plenty of bars and places to eat. We had such a great time and if we ever return to Big Island we would try and stay here again."

  • Fabulous Kona condo!

"My husband and I stayed in this delightful studio for one week and we were VERY pleased. We arrived late at night and really appreciated the wine, chocolates and nuts Rebecca had waiting for us – the perfect treat after a long travel day. The king size bed was very comfortable and we loved listening to the waves crashing on the shore just across the street. There is a convenient parking spot right by the front door, which was available all week for us. We felt very safe and at-home here, the locals were very friendly. The unit was very well equipped - lots of very plush bath towels, toiletries, hair dryer, kitchen appliances and condiments galore. 2 boogie boards, 2 small coolers, ice packs, oversized beach towels and 2 beach chairs provided everything we needed for a day at the beach. Wifi was excellent and we had no issues FaceTiming and watching Netflix. Lots of movies and books available in the unit as well. Rebecca was in touch before and during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed, and graciously allowed us to a late check out to accommodate our 11 pm flight home. The Kona trolley stops right in front of the Kona Bali Kai, and will quickly take you to/from town for $2 per person each way. It only runs until about 9 pm though, and after that a quick $10 cab ride will get you back home. We really enjoyed ending our days at Laverne’s Sports Bar which tended to host a mostly ‘older’ crowd (40+) until about 11:00. Also really enjoyed Splashers Grill and Humpy’s Alehouse. We found some amazing snorkelling at Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park, about a 20 minute drive away. The turtles would literally bump into us while we were snorkelling. Truly breathtaking above and below water. All in all, this was an excellent home base for our Kona adventures, and we would not hesitate to stay here again and to recommend this unit to others. Mahalo Rebecca!"

  • As if we never left the comfort of our home!

"Clean and well-stocked of all what you need from home, even beach stuff! This 2-bedroom condo is perfect for a family. Far enough from the busyness of of town, but also walking distance to town. It was a perfect home-base while in Big Island."

  • Special visit with friends

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a lovely home. Showing signs of wear, but nothing a few hours of fix and repair wouldn't take care of. I wouldn't recommend this property solely due to the only access to the house being a very steep driveway. A vehicle with high clearance and a short wheelbase is needed. We were driving a Ford Explorer and could not traverse this driveway. Carrying luggage, groceries, and/or children up to the house is a challenge at least, a problem at most."
