  • Kauai Gem

"If you are staying in the Princeville area of Kauai this is the place to stay. The condo is located on a cliff just above the Pacific. From the living room and dining area the view looks out over the bay where South Pacific was filmed. I would say this condo has one of the best views in the entire development. Sunsets over the bay are also amazing. The bed in the condo is very comfortable and the layout and upkeep of the interior is excellent. The owner is very responsive to questions and very helpful reference anything that might arise. The location of the condo is good for exploring the North Shore of Kauai. Beaches are within walking distance with a private paved path just outside of the condo to the beach. I strongly recommend this condo; we will definitely return."

  • Amazing view, and spacious condo

"My husband and I recently got back from kauai, we stayed at The Hanalei Bay Resort, room 7106, the first thing we noticed when we walked in is the view!!!! It's absolutely amazing, complete views of Hanalei Bay, and Bali Hai! Then the condo, it's huge and very relaxing. The bed was very comfortable, and nice furniture. Privacy was important to us, as we're on our honeymoon, and this was definitely achieved! Joyce was very helpful to make our stay enjoyable. The photos online don't do the condo justice, not to mention the panoramic views, but there have been many updates! I would recommend this condo to anyone!"

  • Amazing views, great location.

"Firstly, Linda was great. We weren't exactly the most communicative guests, but she checked in on us several times before the trip to make sure we had all the information and tips for Kauai that we needed, and then she checked in again on our arrival day to make sure that everything in the property was good to go (it was). The condo has all the basic amenities you'd want (cable, wifi, kitchen with plenty of dishes to use for eating in, beach equipment, etc.). Everything was clean and ready to go. The view from the condo is incredible. First pic here is through the living room window, second just outside the window. You can basically see the ocean, Anini Beach (I think), and the surf hitting the reef from any window, and the trade winds blowing in were great for sitting by the window and relaxing. We also got some visitors (geese, chickens, anoles) that were pretty fun to watch moving around outside. The condo is also a quick drive from Princeville's shopping center and Hanalei Town/Bay, all of which make for great eating or relaxing and swimming (Pink's Ice Cream is amazing). We also did a bit of driving around to go to Waimea Canyon, the Kalalau Trail (to Hanakapi'ai falls-- we're not impressive enough for the full trail!), Kapa'a, Kalihiwai Beach, and Eleele for a Na Pali sailing cruise, and it never felt too inconvenient going from Princeville to those places. It's a bit of a drive out to the south shore if you're going multiple days in a row, but not too bad, and the views on the drive are still great. The only negative, which wasn't really much of a problem, is that sometimes folks walk in front of the condo, and with the windows open for a breeze (a must IMO), it feels a little lacking in privacy. There are big curtains that can be drawn with the windows open, though they blow around a lot if they're not tucked aside. We decided pretty quickly that it was much better to have the views than worry about passersby, and it was still a pretty rare occurrence anyway. So overall, a great rental, great owner, incredible views. Highly recommended."

  • Spectacular mountain view, well stocked

"Loved the location, a short walk to magical "Hideaways" beach which is great for swimming and snorkeling. Quiet, peaceful. Step outside your front door to watch the sun set over the ocean (in the summer only). Stargazing any time it's clear. Rain is frequent in Kauai; be prepared. Do the Napali hike (first two miles) but bring Keens or similar "river" sandals as hiking on this island is MUDDY. House had everything, even a ukelele and discount cards for the local grocery store (Foodland in Princeville). Best stocked VRBO we've ever stayed in. Delighted to find a rice cooker, electric skillet, blender. Beach gear, too. Most unexpected delight: the view from the back patios (upper and lower) is simply spectacular. The golf course is mostly hidden by forest, and the mountains fill the scene. I could've sat there all day. We did have one significant issue and contacted the homeowner, who responded promptly and had it immediately taken care of. Highly recommend this property."
