  • Great House in Wailea

"This beautiful house is everything it was described as! The owner, Ken was very easy to reach and communicate with. When, at the last minute, our original unit was not available due to some patio furniture cushions that did not come in as scheduled, he called me and asked if we could move to another unit right next door. It was beautiful and we so appreciated his wanting us to have the full experience of the entire house - inside and out. The interior decor was spectacular, only to be outdone by the views and sunsets from the lanai. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. It's near proximity (5 minute walk or on-demand shuttle) to the Grand Walailea Waldorf Astoria Hotel and Resort, plus access to all the Hotel's amenities was a bonus, not to mention the pool, workout room, daily coffee and access to poolside massage therapists within the neighborhood. Wonderful place to stay with family or group. Everything from check-in, walk through and explanation of various workings of the house, and friendliness of the staff was top-notch. Would definitely rent this place again!"

  • Luxury at its finest

"Returning to Maui with my husband, we had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful villa. Having rented dozens of VRBO properties over the past 3 decades, I can honestly say this was our overall best experience from the booking process to departure. Dr. Blair is extremely responsive in answering any questions and Hope and her team at Paradise Comforts are readily available to assist you during the stay. Hope not only took care of pre-arrival grocery shopping for us but also left a kind note along with ground coffee and several unexpected delicious treats and checked in on us to see if there was anything we needed. Though not directly on the ocean, the elevated location of this villa offers phenomenal views of the ocean as well as a good portion of Wailea and views around the nearby coastal cities. Watching sectacular sunsets every evening and the Island light up was a special treat. We loved how quiet it was at night-rarely hearing a sound until the birds awake at dawn. The location is very convenient, within a couple miles of excellent restaurants, shopping, the beach. We enjoyed excellent meals at Ferraro's, Matteos, and The Restaurant. We rented a kayak in front of the Grand Wailea and had a massive sea turtle float under us. They are frequently spotted and there is also great snorkeling at Wailea Beach and to the right of the Grand Wailea beach. Water activities are best in the morning when the winds are usually calm. By noon the trade winds pick up and last about 4 hours. Despite rain and clouds being forecasted daily we had sunshine every day! Drive to Makena and purchase a coconut from a local-very refreshing and a fun experience. The villa is extremely well stocked. The kitchen is a chef's dream and includes most of the spices and other staples you could possible need. There are several coolers, very nice beach chairs (all beaches are public in Hawaii), numerous beach towels, beach bags, freezer packs...even sunscreen and bug spray (aside from a few flies onthe beach we didn't notice any bugs). My husband was thrilled to be able to watch our home state football game and the World Series on the large Screen TV. There are numerous games, books, movies, etc if you are traveling with children. I suggest bringing binoculars to check out the boats-and whales if they are in season. Dr. Blair and Hope, we look forward to returning to what is now our favorite VRBO rental and a truly first Class Experience!! Thank you both!"
