  • Luxury at its finest

"Returning to Maui with my husband, we had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful villa. Having rented dozens of VRBO properties over the past 3 decades, I can honestly say this was our overall best experience from the booking process to departure. Dr. Blair is extremely responsive in answering any questions and Hope and her team at Paradise Comforts are readily available to assist you during the stay. Hope not only took care of pre-arrival grocery shopping for us but also left a kind note along with ground coffee and several unexpected delicious treats and checked in on us to see if there was anything we needed. Though not directly on the ocean, the elevated location of this villa offers phenomenal views of the ocean as well as a good portion of Wailea and views around the nearby coastal cities. Watching sectacular sunsets every evening and the Island light up was a special treat. We loved how quiet it was at night-rarely hearing a sound until the birds awake at dawn. The location is very convenient, within a couple miles of excellent restaurants, shopping, the beach. We enjoyed excellent meals at Ferraro's, Matteos, and The Restaurant. We rented a kayak in front of the Grand Wailea and had a massive sea turtle float under us. They are frequently spotted and there is also great snorkeling at Wailea Beach and to the right of the Grand Wailea beach. Water activities are best in the morning when the winds are usually calm. By noon the trade winds pick up and last about 4 hours. Despite rain and clouds being forecasted daily we had sunshine every day! Drive to Makena and purchase a coconut from a local-very refreshing and a fun experience. The villa is extremely well stocked. The kitchen is a chef's dream and includes most of the spices and other staples you could possible need. There are several coolers, very nice beach chairs (all beaches are public in Hawaii), numerous beach towels, beach bags, freezer packs...even sunscreen and bug spray (aside from a few flies onthe beach we didn't notice any bugs). My husband was thrilled to be able to watch our home state football game and the World Series on the large Screen TV. There are numerous games, books, movies, etc if you are traveling with children. I suggest bringing binoculars to check out the boats-and whales if they are in season. Dr. Blair and Hope, we look forward to returning to what is now our favorite VRBO rental and a truly first Class Experience!! Thank you both!"

  • Accommodation was lovely

"This place is beautiful and spacious. The devil however is in the details. Everything seemed ready when we arrived until we looked for a cutting knife. Then we realized we also had only received two cards and no garage opener. When I emailed the owner it took a day for him to get back because he was out of town. Then the air conditioner stopped working in the upper floor. No one ever came to fix that. We couldn't find an unlocked place for the garbage and had to take it down to the cleaning staff's drop off. Our card keys did not work in the gate to the resort or the gym. I really think that a walk through when we arrived would have solved most of these things. Again I will say we loved our place and enjoyed all the space, but the little things add up."

  • Ahhhmazing Accommodations

"Rented this to celebrate a milestone birthday and it exceeded all of our family's expectations. Location, location, location! Great nightly views of the ocean, great sunset viewing on both of the Lanai's. Great that everything was in walking distance, some of us enjoyed the Grand Wailea pools/spa, golfing near by, great beach access and trails close by. The pool at Ho' olei, was really nice, great when you didn't want to brave the crowds at Grand Wailea. When we walked in, my 17 year old said that this was the most awesome place we have ever stayed, said she felt like a Kardashian! The home was spacious, enough room for people to have their own space when needed, but great areas to enjoy as a family. It even had an elevator! How cool is that? I don't know how our family will ever be able to stay in a hotel room after this experience. Definitely worth the splurge! Staff was really nice and always so helpful. Only complaint, the BBQ has some serious ventilation problems, smokey, smokey, smokey, fire detector went off several times."

  • Family Celebration exceeded expectations

"Super clean accommodation, fantastic kitchen with everything you need, great beds, slept very well. We had my children and their spouses and my wife and I celebrating my 60th birthday, and we stayed 9 nights. We could not have asked for more, great value, and Wailea area is our new favorite place on earth. We have traveled everywhere and stayed in very nice places, for the money this was one of the best values anywhere. Close to a ton of great restaurants, bars, shopping, and golf. I planned the whole trip and this place made me look like a hero. found a great little yoga studio, we are now big Wailea fans, and we would and will rent this unit again. We did rent a unit at Grand Wailea for a night to give us a couple of days at their pool and beach, we did so much other stuff this worked out well. The pool at Hoolei is nice, good workout room, and access to the beach was an easy walk. Porch is incredible. Owner/managers very pleasant and delivered on everything they promised. We are already planning to go back next year. Last tip, Make sure you go to the Monkey Pod, a really fun restaurant two minutes away by car, do not miss this place."
