  • Amazing home and location for Maui visit!

"Mahalo to Lisa and Richard for providing such a beautiful place to call home for our visit to Maui. The ease of booking was stress free and the second you arrive at Hale Ono Loa the island vibe begins! The home was amazing, with beautiful island decor. With fully equipped kitchen, breathtaking lanai with ocean view and the most comfortable king size bed, you are set for a visit you will never forget. We were happy to have beach chairs, snorkeling gear and boogie boards provided. Just bring your sunscreen and water shoes! The location is perfect for walking, beach activities, and exploring. We highly recommend this home and plan on using the unit on our next visit. Mahalo and Aloha nui loa! Randy and Marcella"

  • Amazing View and Good Location for a Family

"The two-sided 3rd floor lanai was this unit's best feature. The 180 degree ocean view was extraordinary, and it was a great place to watch turtles. It's literally 10 feet from the sea wall. Note: We don't mind the incessant noise of the waves. The rental was furnished with everything our family of four needed. It was clean and well-maintained. After arriving, we received a few courtesy phone calls from the property management company to confirm that we were happy. This matched the level of service and communication with the owner in the months prior to the rental. Well done. (Also, within a few days, we received 100% of our rental deposit back.) The condo's location was quiet (more neighborhood-like) and ideal for us between Kapalua and Kaanapali. It's not stylish or glamorous, and the price appropriately accurately reflects what it is; a casual beach condo with two walls of sliding glass doors for ocean views. That's what we wanted. To afford this trip and to remain on budget, we had to cook in the condo 1-2x per day, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Easy. We wished the windows had screens, yet the insects weren't too much of an issue. Maybe some nylon mesh screens would weather OK. With did have to catch a gecko and relocate him outside. Ha! This unit met/exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend this for a family who wants a panoramic ocean view."

  • Hidden Gem with Gorgeous Views

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second stay at Hale Mahina, and our first (but not last) in this unit. It has everything I want in a vacation rental: 1) Nothing but water to see out the window (and all units face the ocean). 2) Master bedroom that also faces the ocean. 3) Swimmable, never crowded beach directly in front of the property. 4) A truly private balcony (Bldg A only). 5) Small, quiet complex. Can't beat a top floor unit with a loft master bedroom facing the ocean. You can see both the islands of Lanai and Molokai from the balcony. The unit was clean, and well stocked with kitchen necessities and beach items. Both real beds were comfortable, although the king size in the loft is incredibly high. The property is beautiful with a great sandy beach and sea turtles swimming by all day long. There is also a small pool that’s never crowded or noisy. This unit is perfect for a family with teens and small children. Something to note if you're planning to use the full occupancy of 6: As with pretty much all sleeper sofas, the one in this unit is unusable as a bed by an adult, and is also a pretty bad couch. (I wish more vacation rentals would just put in a futon couch.) Also, adults vacationing together might want to be aware that neither bedroom is truly private. The master is a loft open to the living room, and the second bedroom is open at the vaulted ceiling, and only has a shoji screen type door. That said, this unit is perfect for our family of 4. We loved staying here and will definitely be back on our next visit to Maui."
