  • Special Family Get Together

"We had many family get-together's at Mahina Surf since I was a little girl, this time would be no different. Except this time was with my mom, sister, niece and myself. March 2015. The reason it was special, my sister had cancer and this vacation was going to be her last with us being together. We knew it had to be Mahina Surf since this was the first location we went to as a family. The manager helped us make the right decision on our room. It was perfect, we saw turtles and the beautiful sunsets are absolutely beyond perfect. That trip will never be forgotten. Going back to Maui may never be the same, but if I was to return, no doubt I would return to Mahina Surf!"

  • Clean, simple, great view. Very nice to have beach equipment to use.

"Clean, simple room with a great view. Very nice to have beach equipment to use. Napili Beach is beautiful but not very walkable due to the steep short slope going down to the water. There are other nice beach options nearby within walking or driving distances. The sound of the waves is prominent at night and helped us sleep well in the comfortable bed."

  • Awesome Holiday!!!

"We stayed in Unit #211 from Jan 24th to Feb 4th. The condo was better than it looked in the pictures. It had everything we needed! We were very impressed!!! The bed was very comfy, we left the patio doors opened every night so we could listen to the waves. We bought our meat from the nearest grocery store and barbequed a few times on site. It was within walking distance along with the Farmers Market which was nice!!!! We have nothing bad to say about the condo at all. It was perfect and we're hoping to stay again next year. The only one thing we wished we were informed about was a giant sink hole infront of the complex that had to be repaired, causing us to lose a good three days of using the space in the front of the condo. It was a planned project so it would have been nice if they informed us ahead of time. Other than that the condo is beautiful, we totally recommend it!!!!!!!"

  • WOW!

"Simply put, this place is fantastic. This was our family's first trip to Maui (with 2 kids, 10 and 8) so we did a lot of research before committing to any accommodation. We looked at many of the newer "high end" resorts and were impressed with the layouts and amenities, but ultimately settled on this little bit of paradise for our trip. Within the complex (and anywhere else I would argue!), John and Val's suite is simply unbeatable for its location. It is the end unit on the ground floor, literally 30ft from the beach with stunning views of the sunset and the best lanai anywhere! With two kids, it is cozy, but absolutely doable. The back bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed and there is a pull out couch in the front room next to the kitchen. We loved the ocean sound (and the morning view) so much that we made the kids sleep in the back room (which they didn't mind) and we took the pull out! It also feels very private, especially at night, so much so that we left the door and blinds open with only the screen door closed. When we arrived, the condo was clean and just as you see it in the photos. The complex grounds are immaculate and the pool is a great alternative to the beach. With young kids, having a decent size pool is a great option to the beach when it gets too rough. If BBQ'ing is your thing, like it is ours, the 4 communal BBQ's on the property are the best located anywhere. If you like to socialize with the other owners/visitors, be at the BBQ between 530pm and 7pm with your item of choice and a large glass of wine. Not only will you meet lots of people, but your view of the surrounding ocean, beach and sunset will make for the best BBQ experience ever. From this location it is an easy drive North to Kapalua or South to Kaanapali and Lahaina. Dealing with John directly also made the experience much more relaxing. Our flight to Maui arrived very late and our flight out was also very late. John was accommodating and very easy to talk to when making those arrangements. I would easily recommend this location for any family with young children (no more than 2 though... it would get just a little too cozy!). There were other families within the complex, but there was not the business and crowds that you would experience in a larger resort. If you are looking for a place to relax with the kids, have easy access to the beach or the pool, and prefer a quieter, more laid back holiday experience, then this is the place for you!"
