  • Love this resort and perfect value for $$!!!

"Thank you Andrew for the use of your condo! We LOVED the location of Papakea. Walking distance to a big supermarket (don't go to ABC shop, walk across the street to Times or 200m to the Farmer's market for beautiful organic produce!!). The 3 pools in the resort are great and warm, the view from the Lanai is spectacular, access to free parking is very easy (there is also a lift if you need) and the addition of mini-putt ground, free Mai-thai at the pool when we arrived and the perfect care of the whole of the resort made our stay fantastic! The condo itself is perfect for a couple with a toddler (we hired a portacot and a highchair from local company and they delivered straight to our door). As mentioned in other comments the condo is not renovated but everything is perfectly clean and the kitchen is equiped with EVERYTHING you need (including little candles for romantic dinner on the lanai!). Perfect value for money in the right area!"

  • Absolutely Perfect

"My wife and I had our first Maui experience here, and it was amazing. The Condo itself is gorgeous, beautifully decorated, it feels like a high end hotel.....and then you open the blinds and look out at the beach in front of you; amazing. Literally just steps to the waves for one of the most perfect beaches we could have asked for. Granted, the beach is quite narrow, but we're here for the water, not to lie on the sand, and for that, it is perfect. The pictures you see in the listing are a very accurate description of the property, if you like what you see, you'll love what you get. The sand extends far out, with no coral or lava rock to stub your toes on, which is more than we can say for many of the other beaches we looked at. To the right side there is a rocky area, which is amazing for snorkeling, we saw sea turtles there every single time we went out, as many as 6 at a time. Alex is a great host, saw to it we had everything we needed, and was always very quick to answer any questions we may have had; 5 star experience all around. We will be back to visit as often as we can, I only wish we could come out more often."

  • Perfect for our Maui vacation

"Great Location and condo was as well appointed and as we expected. Watching whales from our balcony each morning (noon and evening also) while we were having coffee was amazing. Whales, whales everywhere! Grill area was very nice and led to meeting some good fun people. Hopefully the beach will come back soon but there were many excellent beaches close one less then 1/4 mile away."

  • WOW!

"Simply put, this place is fantastic. This was our family's first trip to Maui (with 2 kids, 10 and 8) so we did a lot of research before committing to any accommodation. We looked at many of the newer "high end" resorts and were impressed with the layouts and amenities, but ultimately settled on this little bit of paradise for our trip. Within the complex (and anywhere else I would argue!), John and Val's suite is simply unbeatable for its location. It is the end unit on the ground floor, literally 30ft from the beach with stunning views of the sunset and the best lanai anywhere! With two kids, it is cozy, but absolutely doable. The back bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed and there is a pull out couch in the front room next to the kitchen. We loved the ocean sound (and the morning view) so much that we made the kids sleep in the back room (which they didn't mind) and we took the pull out! It also feels very private, especially at night, so much so that we left the door and blinds open with only the screen door closed. When we arrived, the condo was clean and just as you see it in the photos. The complex grounds are immaculate and the pool is a great alternative to the beach. With young kids, having a decent size pool is a great option to the beach when it gets too rough. If BBQ'ing is your thing, like it is ours, the 4 communal BBQ's on the property are the best located anywhere. If you like to socialize with the other owners/visitors, be at the BBQ between 530pm and 7pm with your item of choice and a large glass of wine. Not only will you meet lots of people, but your view of the surrounding ocean, beach and sunset will make for the best BBQ experience ever. From this location it is an easy drive North to Kapalua or South to Kaanapali and Lahaina. Dealing with John directly also made the experience much more relaxing. Our flight to Maui arrived very late and our flight out was also very late. John was accommodating and very easy to talk to when making those arrangements. I would easily recommend this location for any family with young children (no more than 2 though... it would get just a little too cozy!). There were other families within the complex, but there was not the business and crowds that you would experience in a larger resort. If you are looking for a place to relax with the kids, have easy access to the beach or the pool, and prefer a quieter, more laid back holiday experience, then this is the place for you!"
