  • Charming Home - Best Value in Town

"This historic cottage has been thoughtfully restored and has a fresh, updated interior and furnishings. It's located right in the heart of the city within walking distance to the Ohio River, parks, trails, museums, and downtown stores and restaurants. The street is fairly quiet with lots of street parking. The kitchen is large and perfect for cooking if you decide not to eat out. My only suggestion is that the owners add some towel hooks in the bathrooms. We didn't really have a place to hang our towels between uses. But that's really the only negative. Everything else with this home was perfection."

  • The Write Place

"I spent 10 days and 9 nights at the Tack House and the quiet was just what I needed! As a writer looking to get away from it all so I could focus on finishing my novel, the Tack House offered all the creature comforts I needed. I finished the novel, enjoyed a cozy place to call my own, and left with some awesome memories. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to slow down the pace and just relax!"

  • Beautiful Property in a Tranquil Setting!!

"My friends and I stayed here for a weekend, looking for a nice getaway. The property is in a very beautiful setting, with a nice pond and hills. The house is very nice with plenty of room, and it's also nice that it is well-supplied. The drive to the casino isn't far and it's very easy to get to. The owner, Mark, couldn't have been more helpful or nice. When I asked him about an air compressor on-site, due to my tire being very low, he immediately called me and offered his advice and assistance. He actually did have a portable compressor on the property, and I was able to pump enough air in my tire to drive into Madison to get it fixed. Overall, we all had a great time and I would definitely recommend the house! It is suitable for all kinds of trips, and would be very family-friendly as well."

  • A perfect getaway location to destress, enjoy nature, and grow closer to loved ones!

"Jack and Iretta are sweet and kind hosts! This is a great spot to get away when the burdens, stresses, and demands of life get to be too much. The cabin is counterculture and harkens back to the days of our grandparents. With very little to no cell reception, it is encouraging how quickly we regain our love for the simple life. A fireplace, a book, a few games, and some grilling easily filled up our weekend without wanting to leave! The trail and creek created a fun hike and a reminder of God's creation. The name of the cabin and the cross above the fireplace sold us on it, but there are reminders of God's love in every room. We can't wait to go back!!"
