"this was the best house I've ever rented, everything you need you can find only at Look-out-Lodge, beautiful places, lake, forest, fresh air just take you away and make forget about problems"

  • Fabulous weekend getaway with friends!

"A group of old friends from Juneau, AK reunited at this beautiful country farm house for the Kentucky Derby weekend. We were amazed at the affordability of the house, given it's size (two-story, 3-bed, 3-bath) and impressive landscape. This house is an easy day drive to several bourbon distilleries, including into Louisville for the Derby. Neighboring towns Lebanon and Bardstown have nice, quaint restaurants, tap rooms, and clothing boutiques for those who enjoy shopping. Caron Tucker is a wonderful hostess - she was most helpful with directions to nearby attractions/restaurants and made our group's stay comfortable and easy. I cannot wait to return to this area for a longer stay to explore more of the country and enjoy this home again!"

  • Wonderful house, amazing mountain view, relaxing, quiet neighborhood! Honey moon stay!

"We had a wonderful time at this home! The view is exactly as pictured. It was so nice to be able to use the hottub on those cold November mornings & nights. We got some beautiful pictures of the "smoke" coming off the mountains from the porch view. The house was squeaky clean, including linens, and bathtubs. Even the shelves in the bedroom & the floors had no dust or particles. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. We loved using the fireplace & the pool table. This home was more than enough room for the 2 of us on our honeymoon. The price for this gorgeous home is half of what you would pay if you went an hour south to Tennessee or North Carolina. The property manager was super easy to work with. Such a nice, quiet neighborhood. We were on our honeymoon the week of Thanksgiving and we never heard another person. The gated community is very secluded & nice. The pictures do not do this house justice, it is so much larger than expected. We did not know there was an upstairs with bedroom & bathroom based on the photos of this house on vrbo.com. It needs more photos!. We highly recommend visiting yahoo & Cumberland falls and taking the stearns railroad. Guthries River House overlooking the river is our recommendation for great dining nearby- it is located in somerset which is about 10 miles from the cabin. Also located in Somerset is any kind of store/shopping you could want. Go the other direction towards the Daniel boon national forest/falls/railroad and its more rural. I'm mentioning these things because we had to discover them on our own being out of towners from Florida. There were lots of pamplets on local activities at the house. The house could use some wifi (if even available that high up) other then that it was perfect. Thank you ! We loved our stay!"

  • Nice place!

"We had a nice, relaxing weekend at Apple Valley Resort, Condo P3. The condo is very clean, with has all the items needed to enjoy a comfortable vacation at Lake Cumberland. The other resort owners and guests are very friendly and invited us to the annual cook-out, which was fun! The only advice I have for renters is to be sure to read the instructions on "how to get there"! There isn't a visible sign to Apple Valley Resort out on the road. However, the owner's instructions are very clear...so just be sure to read them! If you get all the way to the Lake, you've gone too far! :) And this is not a handicapped accessible Condo, so be prepared to haul your things around to the back entrance from the parking lot and up and down stairs. However, that wasn't a problem for us. All in all, I would highly recommend Condo P3 at Apple Valley Resort."
