  • Great cabin, beautiful property!

"The cabin was immaculate, and had everything we needed for taking it easy between hikes to Natural Bridge and other nearby sites. Ken and Sheila were perfect hosts, with timely communication about great places to hike, to eat, and other attractions in the area. They are very accessible and truly want to make your stay as perfect as possible. Take their suggestions - they were correct on all counts! We loved the privacy of the cabin, and especially enjoyed the front porch swing in the mornings and evenings. We also enjoyed walking around the property - very scenic, with dense overgrowth of trees and other plants, a living creek, and a lot of moss-covered stone formations hidden in the forest. Outdoor lovers will enjoy this cabin and property!"

  • Awesome place to stay!

"Located a block from Baxter Avenue, you could not ask for a better location. Apartment is very clean, and well kept. If you are visiting the Highland, I would highly recommend this Apartment."

  • Unique cabin, fun stay

"We had a wonderful time during our 2 night stay in Glaucomys Suite. The cabin is very unique and there is so much detail in the structure and layout. We loved the style of the kitchen and had fun cooking meals on the gas stove. Toilet took a little getting used to, but was not as bad as we anticipated. The drive up to the cabin was comparable to off roading. We would recommend having 4 wheel drive, however there were many 2 wheel drive cars up there at other cabins. Other cabins were near, but they were not in sight and we never heard anyone else during our stay. The back porch was perfect for sitting and drinking coffee in the morning. On the down side, we were disappointed that the cabin was not clean. It was in need of a deep cleaning and this is what we would expect when there is such a high cleaning fee you are required to pay. Another area of disappointment was the apparent renovations being done on the cabin ( several large dry wall patching throughout the main living area.) This would not have bothered us if we were informed prior to our stay. We did have problems getting into the cabin when we first arrived, however we were able to get ahold of the owners right away and they were very helpful. If you are looking for a quite get away this would be a good place to go. We love the Red River Gorge area. Recommend eating at Miguels Pizza as well as the Sky Bridge Station."
