  • Very nice and comfortable

"Completely supplied in all aspects. Cookware, spices, appliances, comfortable furniture, TVs, Kayaks, outside chairs, new grill, propane, awning for shade, games, etc... Bedrooms are small but didn't spend much time there. Too much to do. Great walks around the lake, kayaking to big jumping rock, floating on tubes. Very relaxing and easy to move right in. Extra beds for kids and family visiting. Recommend this place for anyone wanting a lot available and want move in ready feeling."

  • Easily one of the best houses I have ever stayed at!

"I just want to start off by saying how great Martin was at treating my group and I. We have stay at multiple houses using VRBO over the years, but this one was one of the best experiences I've ever had. Martin was always there for us when we needed help with something, or if we needed any additional accommodations. Normally, we would just rent a house to stay at and take care of ourselves, but Martin even wanted to show us around the house when we arrived, and also showed us around the lake nearby. This hospitality cannot be left unnoticed. When I asked Martin if he knew where we could get additional firewood, he went out of his way to bring over a trailer FULL of firewood for us to use for our campfire. I can't express how grateful we were to his kindness and lovely home!!!!"

  • Cute rustic-feel cabin with all of the conveniences of home with a beautiful lake view!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Greer property! The location on the lake was perfectly situated providing abundant sunshine as well as much needed cool shade from a lakeside tree. The sunrise greeted us early each morning on the opposite side of the lake and the sunset behind us created a beautiful canvass in the sky each evening as we sat and enjoyed s'mores at the fire pit (ample firewood is provided). We enjoyed using all of the water toys that are made readily available by the owners. The cabin itself was comfortable and very clean. All of the wood (floors, ceilings, walls, and beams) make it feel comfortable, cozy and warm. We actually prepared and ate most of our breakfasts and evening meals at the cabin because you could not beat that view from the dining table! All of the rooms/beds were comfortable and very clean. It was nice to have the bedding and towels provided, and especially good to have a full washer and dryer to use as needed. Surprisingly (even to ourselves) we made the hour trip into Acadia National Park each day. The hikes (Precipice, Bee Hive, "Floating Rock", and The Bubbles) are all a must! The views (360 degrees from Caddilac Mountain), ocean, islands, lakes, ponds, etc were all spectacular! Spent 5 days in the park, and did not see or do everything! Bar Harbor was a great little town to shop and eat. Travelled in to Thurston's Lobster Pound in Bass Harbor for a fun place to get your lobster dinners and allows you to see the southwest part of Acadia. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch at Jordan Pond Restaurant (the only one inside the national park). The popovers with the strawberry jelly were yummy! There is a family market about a ten minute drive away that is well stocked and reasonably priced. The Greer family were very nice and respectful of our privacy. There was construction being done to their home daily, but it did not deter or distract us from enjoying ourselves (just was a bit noisy, but we understood completely- certain it needs to be done in fair weather months). Josh was quick to answer any inquiries that we had as well as attend to any issues that arose. We appreciated their attention to detail and use of their lovely cabin and would highly recommend this property to all! Missing Chemo Pond (pronounced "She-mow") already!"

  • Wonderful accommodations in a perfect setting.

"We brought 6 grandchildren to this central location to give them a trip of a lifetime. The cottage and lake provided all of us with comfort and convenience through the 5 day stay. The children looked excitedly forward to the lake for swimming and paddle boating to bring each exciting day to and end. Violette's Landing provided a beautiful and relaxing view of the day, sunrise to sunset. Thanks to Paul for making this vacation even more special with the accommodations! Damian and Karina Dovin of Michigan"
