  • Absolutely Wonderful Coastal Maine Cabin in the Woods

"Our family fell in love with this rather spacious cabin in the beautiful coastal woods of Rockport. It is the perfect central location to see the best of Maine's coastal region highlights. In our week we were able to visit Bar Harbor, hike the trails of Acadia National Park, enjoy the sites and history of Searsport, Lincolnville, Camden and Rockport, combed the beaches in Owl's Head, experienced the Old Pier and Atlantic Ocean at Old Orchard Beach and shopped the L.L. Bean in Freeport. This cabin provided us everything needed to make our first exploration of Maine wonderful. It's amazing charm had us begging to make it our own! I've never been more disappointed to see a vacation end. Hopefully, we will find ourselves here again next year....for two weeks!"

  • Perfect home base for Maine vacation

"We stayed in this remarkable cottage before moving to a condo in Ogunquit. We were so excited that it was available for a second shorter stay before our flight home. The owners have thought of everything! Bamboo sheets on the very comfortable beds, gourmet coffee, tea, cocoa! There were luxurious towels and more than enough for our stay. The cottage had a private deck overlooking a meadow. This time of year the colors were amazing. It was the perfect place to curl up with a book and just relax. The cottage is a well furnished two bedroom, with 1 and 1/2 baths. Every extra you can think of was available, from a ninja blender, to a waffle maker, a huge lobster pot (we bought live lobsters at a local dock! ). The apartment includes a private garage, washer and dryer and keyless but secure entry. This was a very private setting, with all the amenities of larger, more populated condos. Games, magazines, and a wonderful TV were available, but we spent so much time exploring Camden, Rockport, Acadia National Park, local breweris, restaurants, light houses and museums. I would highly recommend The Owls Head Transportation Museum, as well as checking out local sailings of the Windjammer fleet. Our hosts were great at recommending outings and favorite restaurants. Incidentals that you often do not find when renting, such as spices, cocoa, storage bags, paper plates and napkins for a picnic, even extra dishes for storing leftovers. We did not lack a single thing that we would need. We are looking forward to returning to this townhouse on our next visit to Maine in 2018."

  • Eclectic upstairs apartment in old building on quiet street close to downtown

"My wife and I stayed three nights in the clean, nicely appointed and updated, upstairs, "B", apartment, while our friends stayed in the downstairs, "A" apartment. Easy to find on a quiet street off U.S. 1 very close to downtown Rockland and the ferry to Vinalhaven Island, with close access to the 4,300 foot-long granite block breakwater along which one can walk the entire distance to the de-commissioned light house. Master bedroom has a comfortable Tempur-Pedic mattress and the well-appointed, sunny kitchen has a view of the harbor. The living room has two couches; one having a hide-a-bed. The stairs leading to the upstairs apartment, "B", where we stayed are steep. They did not present a problem for us, however, those having difficulties climbing stairs will want to choose the downstairs, "A", apartment. The property is very affordably priced and provides excellent value. The hosts were readily available. We recommend and would stay here, again."
