  • Great views, *Huge* house, very convienient

"Stayed here for a week from June 11-18, 2016. There were 7 adults (me, my wife and her family) and I was worried about whether there would be enough room for everyone. Not to worry at all as it turns out. The bedrooms were all large and the living areas were even bigger than we'd hoped for. The main living area has multiple couches, two cocktail tables and a dining table. The eat in kitchen has another full sized table that can seat 12 easily and at least 5 feet of room on all sides. There's so much room in the eat in area that there is another long table against the wall which worked well as temporary storage for various knick knacks. There are 3 large bedrooms upstairs including the master which has another room off of it containing a bunk bed. The bathrooms (4 full bathrooms!) were all clean and there was at least one on every level. In fact, there was so much room in this house that we never even used the lower level, where there is a large sitting area with a second fireplace and a TV. I've literally never rented a house where it was *too* big for us. The location is very convenient to the beach, being located only a few feet from the bike path. There is a scramble down some rocks which wouldn't be good for children, but if you take a left down the bike path and walk a few hundred feet there is a more accessible entrance that you can set yourself up in. The town is about equidistant from Woods Hole and Falmouth center, so driving to a restaurant is less than 10 minutes. The public beaches are even closer if you want to have a lifeguard, snack stand and bathrooms. The house had WiFi which worked like a charm, basic cable TV service and a TON of storage space. There was a bit of an issue with the garbage pickup when we got there (it hadn't been collected from the previous tenant) but a call to the owner got it cleared up within 4 hours. Incidentally, the garbage collection happens in a shed outside of the house so we weren't inconvenienced at all. My In-Laws, who have been renting in Falmouth for 20+ years, said this was the *best* house they've ever rented and would most definitely do it again next summer."

"The views of the Pond are striking. The open spaces within the house reflect the landscape outside. Serene. At a practical level, every care has been taken to provide everything we for a memorable family holiday.. We are already planning our next stay!"

  • A gem of a place!

"My husband and I stayed in the cottage for two weeks at the end of July and into August. Our children joined us for the second week. The listing description was very accurate and the property is clean and well maintained. The cottage is very special! It is right on Oyster Pond and I found myself very often watching and listening to the Ospreys and geese and turtles and other birds going about their business of soaring and fishing and foraging. In fact, it was difficult not to constantly stare at the Pond there is so much interesting stuff happening! I didn't get a chance to take a boat out but there are several to choose from. My son took the kayak out and really enjoyed himself. We all loved the outdoor shower, the convenient trail through the woods that gets you to Fells Road and right near the Bike trail on Surf Drive running towards Woods Hole or in the opposite direction towards Falmouth for 10 miles. Of course swimming off of surf drive or in the Pond is a must! We also really enjoyed the Woods Hole Film Festival, Ben and Bill's ice cream in Falmouth, Pie in the Sky (popovers!), Jimmy's ice cream in Woods Hole, the Glass Onion restaurant (not cheap but delicious!), Quicks Hole, and the new Water Street Kitchen in Woods Hole, and much more! We highly recommend the cottage! It is magical! And the location can't be beat!"

  • nice house in a perfect location!

"We had a great time at this beautiful property. The house was spacious and the grounds and pool were awesome. We spent most of the time lounging by the pool and the patio. We walked into town to all of the shops and restaurants a few times a day. It was a really easy and pretty walk. We also could walk to the beach in town. We drove a few times to other Falmouth beaches, as well. Anne was very nice and easy to work with. She was near by and answered any questions we had or dropped off any little supplies needed. The only drawback was that there was only 1 ac unit. We happened to be there for a very hot/humid week so that made the temperature uncomfortable. More AC units in the house would make it a perfect stay!"
