  • Great location; close to everything!

"Cozy, newly renovated house in a quiet neighborhood. We could walk to the coffee shop in the mornings and, within a 15-minute drive, be anywhere else. There's a nice deck for sitting outside and the living area lets in beautiful light. We had our little Boston Terrier with us so fellow dog owners should know that Gloucester is not a particularly dog-friendly town. Very few restaurants would let us bring him with us (I'm talking about outside dining, of course) and the beaches that allowed leashed dogs were few and far between. Good Harbor Beach -- the one closest to this property -- is very pretty but definitely NOT dog friendly at all. We had great luck, however, at Wingaersheek Beach, where dogs are allowed after Sept 15. Ipswitch Ale Brewery was also very dog friendly and had good food. Overall, it was a lovely getaway and the property was a great home base, given its centralized location; so easy to get to wherever we felt like roaming on any given day!"

  • Great Vacation spot!

"We spent Labor Day weekend and week at this beautiful home with our son, daughter-in-law, granddaughter and grandson who came from Chicago. We all loved staying in this beautiful beach house just a few minutes walk to Good Harbor beach. We loved eating out on the large deck and watching our granddaughter run around in the grass. It was also great that they are just a short drive to stores and downtown. We recommend visiting Stage Fort park, and The Pub and the Causeway for restaurants - yummy! We really hope to be able to make this a yearly occurrence!"

  • Location, location, location

"Wife and I were greatly impressed with our stay at Richard's rental in Lanesville, MA. The location of the property was perfect. Situated just about halfway between Gloucester and Rockport it was convient to both of those small, quiet seaport communities and the dining and shopping opportunities they offer. Only 100 yards or so from the beach and just about 1/4 miles from the quiet and quaint Plum Cove beach, we had easy access to the water and sunshine. Also nearby, within walking distance, are the historically interesting abandoned granite quarries which not long ago were the economy of the area. The local festivals, yard sales and other community activities also added to the ambiance of our August stay. Very important to us was the quietness and serenity of Richard's rental. Sunsets were stunning and added to the relaxing quiet. During our late summer visit traffic was light and quiet and driving about was never a hassle. The property was clean and well kept, everything, (appliances, etc) was working and convient. The outside area was well maintained with outdoor furniture to enjoy the seaside character of coastal Massachusetts. We had a great stay and will very likely return."

  • Can't wait to stay again next year!

"We first rented this beautiful home a couple years ago, and fell in love with it. It has a great layout, is so well equipped, has very comfortable beds, a beautiful view, and the kitchen is great. Tons of extra blankets, towels, and such. Brand new Tommy Bahama beach chairs, nice grill, two decks. Five minute walk to Good Harbor Beach, which is the BEST beach! After our first visit, we had noted in our review that air conditioners would be a great addition, and sure enough, all three upstairs bedrooms have new units now that work great. We rented the home for seven nights, beginning with a ladies get together the first three nights, then transitioning to family week the remaining four, as some ladies left, and the kids came up. No matter the mix, the house accommodated everyone very well. The owners, Kimberly and Bart, go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They even left us some wine and taffy as a welcome gift. Couldn't be nicer to deal with. Will definitely return!"
