  • Gray Gull - Best Location on Plum Island

"My husband and I rented the Gray Gull for a week in August. I have to say, I think it's situated on the best lot on Plum Island. There are great water views from three sides of the house. The house is located at the end of a road, and you truly are ten steps from the beach. This beach on this area of the island is great for children, as the water is calmer. We had front-row seats each night on the deck to unobstructed water and sunset views. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that the furniture and some of the finishings were actually MORE updated that what is depicted in the pictures on this site. The cottage is tastefully furnished with a decorating style that's part Pottery Barn, part Mid-Century Modern. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the bathroom appeared to have been recently renovated. I'd highly recommend this rental."

  • Our Family Christmas

"Most people think of Beachcomber Cottage as a summer vacation spot, but it was a perfect place for our family to spend Christmas together. It was spacious enough for everyone to have privacy when they needed it, and meals all together without being crowded. The kitchen was equipped with all the utensils for our Christmas dinner, and later in the week, a fresh lobster dinner. It's welcoming and comfortable in every sense of the word - including holiday decorations to make us feel at home. The location is perfect - close to Rockport, Rocky Neck and Gloucester, each with their own charm and history. Best of all is its proximity to a beautiful beach, which we walked every day. Another feature is the large deck, which overlooks a professionally landscaped yard. We can't wait to go back!"

  • Better than even advertized!!

"We were three families from different parts of the country there for 4-5 days for a wedding and reunion. We were a bit surprised at how large the home was. The kitchen table easily seats 8 and the living room was more than spacious for us and our drop-in guests. Sleeping accommodations were perfect and even the hide-a-bed was comfy. The only downside was getting 7 showers in before we had to leave for the wedding. If not in a time crunch - that too was fine. Honestly, you can't get better than this for the money!! Sorry we were away when the owner stopped by, but it was an event-filled weekend. Thank you!!"

  • Charming riverfront home

"We recently had a wonderful stay at this home in Gloucester. It has a fantastic view of the water and is in such a quiet neighborhood that we had wonderful peaceful mornings and evenings watching the boats go by. My kids loved exploring the shore at low tide and collecting shells and hermit crabs. The house confortably fit our large group and everyone was impressed with how well kept the house is, the family really cares for the property. We have been traveling to Gloucester every year for a long time and this is by far the best place we have stayed. Unique, comfortable and charming New England coastal cottage. Parking is a little tight on the narrow road but was still able to accommodate all our many vehicles! It is also less than 10 minute drive down to the Harbor. We hope to return to this home on our next trip to Gloucester."
