  • GREATEST place to stay in GOOD Harbor Gloucester MA

"Plenty of room (4000sqft!), plenty of rooms (I lost count, but there are 7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, multiple dining areas, multiple sitting areas, multiple washer/dryers, a room to play board/card games/do puzzles and a game room with pool/ping pong/air hockey!, closets galore.). Short walk/very short drive to Good Harbor Beach and great views from the house! GHB is a great beach, Wingaersheek is also nearby if you want to mix it up. The house has a huge collection of beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. in case you didn't bring enough for everyone! Minutes away from everything in Gloucester and the surrounding towns (Rockport, Essex, etc.) We ate breakfasts in house - both kitchens are well equipped, upstairs has a great view. We had lunch take out from Virgillios and Sugar Magnolias, both excellent. Dinners at Topside and Lat 43°, both excellent. Also a huge fan of Woodmans over in Essex for Lobsters and Clams. Mark and Sarah are the owners - they will set you up, provide recommendations, and see you on your way out! Thank you, J/E/N/M/S/&J"

  • Spacious property, beautiful views, private beach - perfect family vacation!

"This home is exactly as pictured and described, located in a safe, private compound, with a private beach. It is clean, updated and well maintained. Perfect for a large family, especially with small children. My kids loved the ping pong table and the many board games - they did not even use the tv! The beach is an easy, short walk for all ages and the beach cove was calm and uncrowded. We enjoyed it daily. The kitchen is large, well stocked and beautiful, and the deck has truly amazing sunset views of the ocean, with lots of comfortable seating. Having a yard, A/C, bbq, washer/dryer, beach chairs, outdoor shower, etc. made our stay carefree. This is not a party house - it is in a quiet neighborhood and many of the other residents were longtime owners. Exceptionally peaceful way to enjoy family time in Gloucester. Karen was very responsive and helpful, before, during and after our stay!"

  • Our Family Christmas

"Most people think of Beachcomber Cottage as a summer vacation spot, but it was a perfect place for our family to spend Christmas together. It was spacious enough for everyone to have privacy when they needed it, and meals all together without being crowded. The kitchen was equipped with all the utensils for our Christmas dinner, and later in the week, a fresh lobster dinner. It's welcoming and comfortable in every sense of the word - including holiday decorations to make us feel at home. The location is perfect - close to Rockport, Rocky Neck and Gloucester, each with their own charm and history. Best of all is its proximity to a beautiful beach, which we walked every day. Another feature is the large deck, which overlooks a professionally landscaped yard. We can't wait to go back!"

  • Comfortable, airy, sunny, roomy... Thoroughly enjoyable experience.

"The cottage is large and airy, filled with sunshine. It is a 10 minute walk to one of the finest beaches in New England. Great location! John O'Hara, the landlord, is very helpful and attentive."
