  • Awesome! A list of superlatives would be in order.

"One cannot visit this quaint, beautiful artisan-built cottage in its elevated location on top of the hill above the beach without marveling at the detail of the inimitable construction of the walls and fireplace from the split sandstone. The furnishings were very appropriate to make our stay comfortable, very clean and at the end of our visit we had really experienced "Charlevoix the Beautiful" at its best. There was a steady stream of picture taking tourists going by all of the daylight hours. Our block, composed of Earl Young homes is a prime destination for people who want a lasting impression of the city of Charlevoix. A stay here should be on everyone's bucket list. Superb!"

  • Beautiful!

"Just returned from a perfect weekend at this beautiful home. The house and view were spectacular and there couldn't have been a better location to enjoy the Lake Michigan sunsets with a great glass of wine. I highly recommend this home and Danielle was extremely efficient and helpful in handling all our arrangements."

  • Lovely home on beautiful beach

"We loved our stay! We had fun hunting for petoskey stones on the beach. We drove to Charlevoix and Petoskey for visits. The home was lovely and fit our family well. We had a family of 2 adults and 3 young kids, and couple, and another adult. The three bedrooms worked well. It was nice to have a long table to sit at and eat altogether. Great deck too, though we didn't use it much due to weather."

  • Big rambling old house a short walk from downtown Charlevoix

"We stayed at this fine old house as part of a family reunion at the end of July. With 9 in our party we appreciated the spacious downstairs areas with a living room large enough to accommodate us all and a dining room to match. There are two window air conditioning units, one in the living room, the other upstairs in the master bedroom. Other bedrooms have box fans to keep things cool. None of the other houses our extended family rented had a/c so we came out ahead. All bedrooms are upstairs. Downtown Charlevoix with its shops and restaurants is only a five minute walk away. We found ourselves timing our excursions around the drawbridge which goes up every half-hour (approximately). The wireless network was good. Beds were adequate. The kitchen lacked for nothing. A large two-car garage made it easy to keep our cars off the street (not that that would have been a problem). The only negative aspect of the house is due to its proximity to the four lane highway that runs past the front. The windows are new and well sealed, keeping much of the street noise out although from time to time the house would briefly shake when a passing truck hit a bump. Traffic dies down in the evening making this less of a problem then. Pulling out onto the highway is a bit tricky due to the curve it takes in the vicinity of the house, part of which is obscured by shrubs. Still, this was never a problem for us. Terri, the owner, is very pleasant and helpful and we enjoyed meeting her. All in all, a great base for your vacation in Charlevoix."
