  • Breath of fresh air

"This is our second year staying here, we have been coming to the area for many years and have stayed at many different places, this is by far the best; the home is great, the view is awesome, the owner is very accommodating. We like to fish for salmon and lake trout, there is room for the boat and trailer on site and the public launch is nearby. We also booked the upstairs apartment as my adult children joined us from out of town. They loved the place and St. Ignace, we had a great time and plan to be back next year."

  • Great Family Vacation Getaway!

"This rental has so much to offer. The cabin was beautiful and well maintained. We stayed for a week with 8 people (including 2 smaller children), and had more than enough space for everyone. The kids had a great time fishing, and there were many activities nearby, and around the cabin despite having a few cool and rainy days. We immediately felt "at home" and would highly recommend this rental to anyone. We had a wonderful time, and made some great family memories here! Thanks Lynn and Kurt!"

  • Bucket list dream Vacation

"It has always been my dream to take my daughters, their husbands and children up there before I cast off for the great beyond. We rented their "Eagles Nest CABIN" it was more like an executive estate! Beautiful home, comfortable beyond reason fully stocked with everything except our personal needs. A row boat, pontoon boat, canoe and a couple of kayaks were available. The 9 of us ranged from 73 to 6 and had the time of our lives. Fishing was fantastic, caught 30+ northern pike many perch, bluegill & catfish and my 17 1/2 inch small mouth bass! weather beautiful. Older teens swam off the dock, little kids loved beach at Black Oak Lake. Night time was bonfire time with stories of the days adventures. The kids caught toads and frogs along with a garter snake and played with the fish that were too small to keep and let them all go at sunset. We sited many Eagles and hawks and the kids wanted desperately to pet a deer so on one day I took them to the zoo in St. Germain where they had their fill of animals to pet. No one wanted to leave . It is a month later and all everyone talks about is the fun we had here, going back and what the folks at Pinestone call "A CABIN". We are still shaking our heads about that one!"

  • What a wonderful lake!

"Our family stayed in Aug. for a week. It is a very private location with the most wonderful lake. The water is clear and weed free. The kids spend everyday in the water including in the rain. The swim platform was great and it is very quiet. Few other boaters. The house is large and worked well for us. However while we were there the house was for sale and people came down to the house unannounced to look at it and we were not very comfortable with that. The house has some deferred maintenance in all the doors to the decks are inoperable, the steps outside are in need of repair and the hot tub was not functioning at all, there is no pizza oven as advertised. The kitchen was in need of a deep clean and you have to hall your own trash to the landfill. But overall we had a great time. The weather was good, the lake was BEAUTIFUL and we got enough good fish for a fish dinner on the last day. I don't like to give any negative comments but we rely heavily on the reviews left by others so we wanted to be honest."
