  • Breathe Taking Getaway

"What an amazing space to spend time with your family and enjoy nature. Our family loved every minute of this gorgeous house and it had something for every age. From fishing in the ponds for the little ones to jogging in the trails to relaxing and watching the sunset over the majestic mountains. The layout is very spacious and each room has gorgeous views but feels very private as well. The owner Larry is extremely helpful and responsive and the kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, and all the tools you could need to cook or BBQ. I hope we can return one day and spend at least another week if not longer enjoying this special place."

  • Great family vacation

"Our family of 8 stayed here for 3 nights in June. We drove the 45 minutes to the West Yellowstone entrance daily. The road hugs the Madison River and it is gorgeous. Since we aren't fishermen, we enjoyed watching others fish in the river right off the deck of the house. My son and daughter saw an eagle swoop down and snag a fish; that was memorable. 2 adults stayed in the studio and the 6 others were in the main house. Plenty of space for all! We were happy to find condiments in the frig and some spices in the cabinet. We replaced the plastic wrap and left some of our baggies in the drawer. This is a huge help when traveling and I'm happy that home owners are providing coffee filters, foil and plastic wrap and often salt and pepper. We used the fire pit for s'mores one night! Loved that! For dinner one night, two of our group went to the Grizzly Bar and Grille and the rest of us ate at the pizza place in W. Yellowstone. Raves for both restaurants. This house was well situated and very spacious for our family. Our neighbor at home, who is a fly fisherman, was envious when he heard about our visit to the Fishing Shack."

  • Sky, stars, trout, eagles, mountains, rivers and Yellowstone too!

"Perfect getaway and base for adventure. Great log cabin home with plenty of room for large family to relax and rejuvenate, Plenty of things to do and see within reasonable distance (in Montana terms) from this home base. Virginia City, Glacier Lake, Yellowstone and Big Sky are within an hour drive. Fish on the Madison River right outside the back door of the house, or get a guide to float you down past the house on one of the best trout fly fishing rivers in the US. Hike, horseback or drive on the plateaus or into the mountains surrounding you. Watch the sunrise over one mountain range in the morning and watch it set in full color in the evening while enjoying your beverage of choice on the spacious deck. Then stay out to enjoy the Milky Way, planets, and plethora of stars that can only truly be appreciated in Montana...there's a reason why it's known as big sky country. And if you're lucky enough to have a lightening storm roll through while you're there, you are treated to nature's fireworks. Follow the paths of bald eagles, hawks, ospreys, pelicans, herons and other birds as they cruise along the river or soar in their thermal updrafts. And plenty of other animals great and small are just waiting for you to notice them. You can't find a better place to start from, and return to, while you discover Montana, Yellowsone, and the Rockies."

  • First Class Property.

"We have rented numerous vacation properties across US and Carribean. This owner has made certain that this is the best equipped kitchen and living space you can find. From spices and seasonings to plentiful paper goods, and utensils, the home was more than expected. ( LSU water glasses a special bonus) Make certain to watch for wildlife at dusk with the binoculars ( you will see many animals with the field glasses that your eyes will not pick up alone). Views were spacious and sunsets spectacular. Wonderful place to relax."
