  • Great lake and great house

"This is a beautiful place. Great access to the water. The house was just as it was described. Plenty of room to have family dinners ,play games and just relax. We can't wait to go back and I would highly recommend it."

  • Perfect for large families!

"Our stay was 8/6-8/13/2016. There were 8 adults and 7 children from 6 to 12 and we were never crowded or under foot. The property is divided into a large (Bear) cabin and a smaller (little bear) cabin, they were decorated adorably . Our family get along and we were all looking forward to this time to visit , relax, and have some adventures. The location is beautiful and the proximity to the water was great. Can't say enough about the clear lake water and mountain views. Best sunsets were down at the beach. The house s were well set up with everything you need , linens( of course) you bring yourself. There is a small store (JoJos) a short trip away so what you forget you can find. 20-25 min away is a large grocery for major supplies. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms spotless and you will get the hang of the water temperature adjustments in the showers. We are grilling folks and thankfully our sons brought theirs because one gas grill just won't feed our 15. We ate all meals outside except breakfast as this is a treat. The smell of the pines is heavenly and 2 very long picnic tables accommodated our crew with comfort. We ended our evening with a gathering around the fire pit. Highly recommend this experience to all. Madelyn Mitton was a dream to talk to and was very accessible for any questions. WiFi on the property worked well. Thanks again Mr and Mrs Mitton."

  • Warm and exquisite home with endless options for entertaining and fun!!!!

"This warm and inviting lake house has become our family's new place to come together and enjoy four generations of love and laughter.. We have looked forward all year on returning to this beautiful estate and our memory of all the home offered did not disappoint!!! The views of the lake, the gorgeous grounds, an amazingly spacious house with all at our finger tips are just a few of the endless reasons the lake house is a magical place to stay. We all agreed it was as if we were returning to our very own home because that is the way Dawn, the owner, has designed her property! Dawn is extremely cooperative to deal with and you hear by your conversations and see by her pictures hanging on the walls what her home means to her. This gem is a five star and highly recommend!"

  • Authentic Rustic Camp

"My family rented so that we could get a feel for living on Lake Winnie, after owning on a smaller lake in Maine. The pictures are a very good representation of the house, nice decorations and comfortable furniture. The house was clean and large enough for a big family. The house has its quirks, some items worked, some didn't, but it didn't take away from the lake experience. The house is located in a nice, quiet, calmer part of the lake. We rented boats from a marina, Shep Brown's, that is located down the street, very convenient. Downtown Meredith is a 14 min. ride away, it is also 14 min. to a local farm, Moulton Farm, that has a wonderful store where you will find fresh vegetables and homemade bakery items, including donuts. It was 30 min or so to a restaurant, The New Woodshed in Moultonborough, which was well worth the drive. The owners were very responsive with emails and text messages. A lovely welcome basket was a nice touch. The home does not have air conditioning, which it did get very hot during our week there, but we brought portable, floor a/c units that made the nights more comfortable for sleeping, the owner does have fans in the bedrooms. The fire pit area was great for cooking smore's with the kids and the owner provides the wood. I would recommend this rental to a large family who love old camp style living."
