  • Perfectly situated on a quiet, beautiful island.

"16 Whortleberry is comfy and spacious with just the right amount of accoutrements: Wifi, A/C, washer/dryer if needed, movies, and a local tv station for news (if you even want to know...). The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals, including a Whortleberry pie for dessert! Not a fancy kitchen, but who wants to spend time in there with the loons calling right in front of you! The front porch is perfect, but needs some nice Adirondack chairs our some cushioned, comfy furniture for lounging and curling up with your favorite book. We didn't use the boats, kayaks and a canoes available, as we have a pleasure craft and explored the lake with it. If you follow the lake path tucked behind the canoe, there's a footbridge and a perfect little sandy beach with enough room for your beach chair and your feet soaking in the warm July water. Would we go back? We're already talking about next year. A resounding yes from humans and canine alike."

  • One of a kind experience

"My husband and I were so pleased with this cottage upon arrival. The cottage is actually a boathouse built over the water, and the views from the living room window and adjacent beach are spectacular! I was able to kayak in the mornings and my husband was able to fish right off the dock. Will probably return and would highly recommend for a unique vacation with activities to please every taste."

  • Great Family Vacation Location

"My husband and I recently sold our lake house on Winter Harbor in Wolfeboro and we missed the Lake so much we had to return to the area for an early autumn vacation. The charming home reminded us of our former summer home and we felt so comfortable. Our children and grandchildren joined us for the weekend. Despite the weather, we all enjoyed kayaking, taking boat trips around the lake, and even swimming in October! A very special stay that our family will remember fondly."

  • A perfect lake getaway without any frills.

"We felt tucked away in nature, having just enough amenities to make our stay comfortable. Our favorite memories will be eating breakfast on the deck just outside the cottage looking down through the woods at the lake and enjoying the most spectacular sunsets from the deck a short distance down by the edge of the lake. We also loved being close enough to the water to hear the waves lapping against the shore as we went to sleep! This was a totally relaxing environment for a vacation."
