  • amazing house, thoughtful details, great for groups

"This house is amazing--it's even better than the amazing pictures! We stayed here with a large group, and the space was comfortable, clean, and well designed. I can only imagine the outdoors when the weather is nice. Saugerties offers some good food, drinks, downtown area, a lighthouse, and some nearby hiking. We would definitely stay again!"

  • Wonderful Weekend Getaway!

"My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights at Eagles Nest. The name is certainly befitting the setting as we were perched on top of a beautiful mountain with lovely views. The home itself is clean, well stocked with plenty of room for all. The master and second bedrooms upstairs are very large and the third bedroom on the main floor was great for a child. Speaking of children, don't be afraid to bring the kids, there are plenty of nooks and crannies for the kids to explore both inside and out! Patricia greeted us at the home and was extremely accommodating. Chelsea managed the reservation and answered every question I had, including sending me a photo of the home in the winter. I think they should add those photos to the site as they are equally stunning! This is certainly a four-season home. Anyone would love to visit this rental - Enjoy!"

  • Close enough to town to be convenient, remote enough to relax and unwind

"Thank you to the Swarts for letting us stay in your home. We were in the area for the weekend, attending Accepted Student Day at Bard College. We got in late friday night to a very pleasant home. The decor is very inviting and plenty of bedrooms for us and the kids. They provided wood for the fireplace. Nothing more relaxing after a long drive. The house is very clean and organized. We cooked dinner on the outdoor grill, sat in the sun on the patio and gazed at the stars while having a fire in the chiminia. They even provided games for the kids. We played a crazy game of trivial pursuit. The house is also close to the Catskills and we did spend time hiking as well. The grocery store was about 10 minutes away, so very easy to get supplies and food. We hope to stay again!"

  • Such a quiet, cozy, & charming cottage!

"I surprised my husband with a weekend away at Cooper Lake Cottage. We enjoyed every moment out here. It's close to town, which was great when we felt like exploring. At night, we would watch movies, cook, and enjoy the fire, or sit on the front porch and star gaze. We just moved to NYC from Baton Rouge, LA, so we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I loved that we were able to include our sweet pup, Pike Lee. He enjoyed the outdoors and being away from all the noise. The cottage had everything we needed to make our weekend a memorable one! We will definitely be back."
