  • All you could need...and then some

"What an amazing find....such a wonderful place for such a reasonable price! This definitely beats staying in any hotel hands down. It was so well maintained. Very clean and had everything we could've possibly needed. We were actually doing a workshop at Omega Institute in Rhinebeck so this was a little bit of a hike for us (45 minutes) but well worth it. We would've paid $400 more for the 2 nights we stayed if we had stayed at Omega - and not gotten half as much. Karen was readily available to answer any questions and help us out even though she wasn't on the property. But this was like a home away from home. Thank you so much! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place in the area and if we ever find ourselves up that way again we will be checking if this property is available for sure :)"

  • Very nice stay

"The house was very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the seeing the chickens and appreciated the fresh eggs. We traveled to Oneonta and Roxbury and the house was great respite during our daily travels."

  • Relaxing and beautiful!

"My fiancé and I were lucky enough to spend four nights at this beautiful place with our dog! It is absolutely magical! The cabin is so comfortable and thoughtfully done. We could hear the creek from our loft bed. The bathroom is clean and spacious. The outdoor shower is incredible, I highly recommend it! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need (utensils, can opener, wine glasses...). Having meals on the deck, surrounded by nature, is truly relaxing. There is also a fire pit and a night sky full of stars. Woodstock is a casual fifteen minute drive away, full of cute shops and great restaurants (Garden Cafe is amazing!). There is plenty of great hiking. Big Pink is also nearby! David and his wife were wonderful, helpful hosts. We felt so much stress melt away while staying here and our dog had the time of his life! It meant so much to us to be able to take our dog with us on vacation. We can't wait to come back, we're already planning our next trip! Thank you, David, for sharing your beautiful, peaceful cabin! -Melanie, Jon and Cass"

  • Beautiful, quiet Cornwallville

"A beautiful, very quiet location in the hamlet of Cornwallville. Location very convenient for exploring the Hudson Valley and Catskills, and across the river to the Berkshire hills. Esther and Bruce are very welcoming and helpful. The house has all the conveniences you will need to be self-sufficient, including a kitchen well stocked with utensils. The gardens are extensive and pretty, and our dogs had a ball on the grass! We had a great time."
