  • Exactly as promised!

"This was a perfect place for our group of women business owners meeting for a retreat. Plenty of beds and bedrooms - which is tough to find! One suggestion - can you label the light switches? It was tough to tell which turned on what! Thank for everything!"

  • Property was just as adverised. No surprises

"House was very clean. Location was just perfect off of main road and quiet. Amenities were all working and up to date. Rental agent (Jenifer Crosby) was excellent. Very helpful and friendly."

  • A country overnight

"We had planned a trip to Vermont from Maryland and wanted to break up the long drive to make it easier. As a treat to ourselves we wanted to stay in a country house or B and B rather than just a hotel. I am so glad we did! We arrived at the main gate and buzzed ourselves in (our hostess had provided us the key code earlier). We drove down the gravel wooded drive to the cottage not knowing exactly what to expect. We let ourselves in and found a very spacious open plan downstairs with a fully furnished kitchen and a fireplace all set up to use if needed. Beautiful hardwood floors! A very quiet country feel. We felt right at home from the beginning. A bit later we took a short drive to Tivoli to get a very nice meal. The second floor had an open loft area with bookshelves for reading and relaxing. The bed was very comfortable and we slept great! The bathroom was lovely and big. Our hostess had provided us with really nice towels. Everything was immaculate! We loved the peace and quiet and felt very relaxed. The next morning we took a stroll around the property through the woods and fields and even saw some turkeys. The view of the Hudson River and the Catskills beyond is gorgeous. Our only regret was having to leave so soon to continue our trip to Vermont, but we will definitely be back again! Can’t wait!! Wow great place! We absolutely loved it!"

  • This is a perfect get away from everyday life.

"Set in the woods, this home is ideal for those that want to get away from everyday life. It is the perfect place to relax. The view from the living room windows creates the illusion that you are in the middle of nowhere. However, there is much to do within a short drive of the house if you choose to do so. The Stop and Shop grocery store is about a mile away for and the wine and spirit store has a large selection of wines and beers. The house and grounds were so inviting. The mattresses are firm and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped to allow creation of good food. However, if you are not interested in cooking, a full range of restaurants are an easy drive away. One of the best parts of our stay were the farm fresh eggs provided by our host. My three sisters and I spent two nights and days there and enjoyed every minute of it. We ate breakfast out one day but prepared the remaining meals at the house since we had all traveled some distance to spend a weekend together. We shopped in Great Barrington, picnicked in a roadside rest area, and enjoyed the beginning of leaves changing from green to yellow, orange and red. We all agreed that if we could pull off another "sisters" weekend, we'd want to do it here since the house was so very comfortable and our host incredibly welcoming ."
