  • Perfect get-away!

"Isolated, cozy, and a beautiful view. Make sure and rent the canoe for a relaxing float on the Siletz! Close enough to town, while still feeling like there is no one else around. Would recommend for sure."

  • Great Home to Rest and Enjoy the Coast

"We really enjoyed our stay here. It was just outside of Lincoln City, but not far from Depoe Bay- and even Newport. So we were able to enjoy all three places. A few things we always want in a vacation home are: enough space for our family of 5 to be able to rest, a coffee shop nearby, and things within walking distance. This home had all of those. Gleneden is a walkable little area where there is a great restaurant- Side Door Cafe. They have a new cafe/coffee shop- which we did not try out. But did go a few minutes down the road to the Depoe Baykery based on another review and it was amazing!!!! Also the coffee shop right next to the Thriftway was great with good coffee. All within maybe 5 minutes. We drove into Newport and enjoyed dinner at Local Ocean. Going into Newport is always a fun adventure for our family when on the coast. Since we traveled with little kids, it was nice to be close to Fogarty Creek/Beach area because there is a great area for them to play in the water and also Beverly Beach where they were able to play in shallow water. But the beach close to the home was great for digging and playing in the sand or flying a kite. It is also a very clean and quiet beach and a very short walk from the house. We loved coming home and relaxing on the porch of the house, playing games, and utilizing the TV/Video/Netflix/Pandora set up. Even though there were no actual TV channels- we had so many options to enjoy with those- which was nice. And for families who need a place for baby to sleep- there is a pack and play which was nice not to have to pack. We look forward to hopefully returning to this home soon and creating more memories here. Thank you for being such great hosts, for creating a welcoming/inviting space, and taking amazing care of your home"

  • Clearly a remodel, with attendant problems

"The oddest issue here is the deck near the beach which you can enter only by exiting to the street side of the house. The very narrow stairway to the basement can be difficult to negotiate, and for mobility challenged residents, may be especially hard as there is not enough room for side-by-side assistance. The kitchen works well with two exceptions: there is limited counter and storage space, and the electrical outlets by the window require longer cords for the coffee maker, coffee grinder, and/or toaster. Is the kitchen up to code? Finally, the basement bathroom does not have a shower, so residents are required to walk up the stairs and through the living room to use the shower. Could be uncomfortable or embarrassing."
