  • Great house for large family with easy access to the beach!

"Great vacation home. Room for large family and short walk to the beach. We enjoyed the gas fireplace and the arrival and departure directions were very helpful. Could hear the ocean from the house, loved that. Add Garbage day (Friday) to the instructions. The can was full when we arrived so we were glad to get it emptied. The fire pit is pretty broken down, that was a little disappointing, compared to how it was described. The folding chairs came in very handy. Those pipes in the kitchen sink that scream should really be fixed. A BBQ that could be kept in a shed would be a great enhancement. Great house, great location, we love Gleneden Beach. We will be back!!"

  • Home Sweet Home (but better!)

"This was our second stay at this house (stayed last summer as well) and won't be our last. This house truly feels like home, but on the ocean! They have pretty much everything you need (well, I did have to stop and get a few serving utensils, and some bigger coffee cups). Wonderful views, no road noise, great location between Lincoln City and Newport. Close enough to stores and outlets, but far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle of regular life. Just kick back in this comfy house and enjoy the views. I still think that it would be much nicer to be able to have a breeze in the bedrooms, and still waiting for the deck to be built on the other side near the master bedroom. That would make it SO much nicer! Love me the sound of the ocean waves! Thanks again Gail and Paul for the nice stay...we'll be back! P.S...be careful on the trail to the ocean behind the gate to the south of the property...my sister said there was a lot of poison ivy or oak there! (can't remember which she said)"

  • Great location!

"Everything was as described. It was great having so many dishes to choose from (I brought some of my own, not sure what was there - but didn't need to use any of mine! There was even a blender!) It was a really nice walk to the beach and we even heard whales on our last night there! Amazing!!! It was wonderful to go to sleep every night with the sound of the waves. The neighborhood was lovely and friendly - everyone waved when I drove down the street, as if I lived there! I felt very welcomed! The grocery store is only 5 short minutes away, with great, friendly staff."

  • Great Location - Questionable conduct of upstairs residents

"The place was clean, comfortable with a spectacular location, everything we were hoping for when we booked the reservation which was only one night. The only downside is the neighbors upstairs, I believe they are permanent residents & by the comment book left in the room left me questioning behavior. Several wrote about elephants stomping through the night & having liquids thrown down on them while they were outside. For our experience, they must not have been home that night because we didn’t hear a thing. We didn’t have anything thrown down on us, however about 2 hours before checkout our deck that previously dry, had a specific wet section just outside the sliding door (not rain). At first we thought, possibly they were getting into their hot tub and the liquid came off their cover, which would make sense, however when I looked up to check, physics didn’t calculate. It looked as though they opened their sliding door and just poured a bucket of “whatever” out their door, through the deck down onto our deck. Thank goodness none of us were outside, as with all the comments, they don’t make sure they won’t hit anyone. What makes me question is why they couldn’t step a few more feet to pour in the grass, or if it truly was water, what was wrong with their pluming. I wasn’t going to get close to it to check."
