  • Annual Girls Weekend at the Coast!

"Murphy's Place is now the site for an annual girls weekend for me and six of my friends. The location is perfect: close to Cannon Beach but away from the crowds, and very close to Oswald West State Park, great for a hike in coastal rainforest. The house is very well furnished, with plenty of room for seven people. We enjoy cooking together and sharing meals at the large dining table; playing games; walking on the beach; and just enjoying the fantastic views from the large windows overlooking the beach. Everything you need is provided, and the place is kept very clean. I highly recommend a stay here, no matter what the weather is."

  • Beautiful weekend getaway

"We spent two nights here for our 'babymoon' and loved it. Especially loved the proximity to the beach and the Scandinavian-beachy-mid-century decor. We were really bummed that the record player was broken as it was a selling point for us - so many awesome records and no way to listen."

  • A nice roomy stay, almost home away from home

"Overall we enjoyed our short stay at this property. Rockaway Beach was a nice town and we had quick access to the beach that our four kids ranging from 8 months to 8 years old loved. Hardly anyone around in September although we did have some noisy neighbors as this home is a duplex. It had plenty of room and we made use of things like the washer and dryer, included dishes, and especially liked having a hose out front to wash off sandy feet before coming inside. It was close to the highway but we didn't hear anything noisy during the night from there. Not a great view of the beach, but a quick walk to overlooking it. The Internet didn't work the whole time and I saw some pretty old and bad phone wiring which is why it's been a problem in the past as well. The property manager was responsive and came within a couple of hours to get repairs going. Also the heat didn't work in the living room, not a big deal in September. Overall I would rather go there than a hotel and I would stay at that property again!"
