  • nice location

"Casey, the owner is very easy to work with. The home was very well kept for an older home. It had many things that are very appealing to families with children; game room with pool, air hockey, pin ball machines and many more. Also they have lots of things for little children too, games, toys and lots of movies. The beds were very comfortable. The only downside was it needed more SHOWERS. If you have alot of people at the home most people prefer to shower. Their is one shower downstairs and a bathtub upstairs. No one used the tub, most adults use showers. Also it would have been great to have an dishwasher. We seen one in the play room but it was unable to hook up to kitchen sink as they did not match up to line up for water supply. So we used lots of paper plates. Although they had many dishes for you to cook and make a great meal. We walked to the marina every night and watched the sun set on the ocean. Brookings has the most beautiful beaches on the Oregon Coast. We also made a day trip to the Redwoods in California. You are not very far from them at this location. They were majestic and worth the short drive. All in all we had a wonderful time and we appreciate Casey for letting us use his home."

  • Oceanfront Condo - Brookings

"Beautiful, spectacular view! The property is located in a quiet, gated community. Parking is very close to the stairwell; there is also a garage you can use. We stored our golf clubs in there when not in use. We golfed a at Salmon Run, just south of Brookings, and Del Norte out of Crescent City, CA. Condo is on the third floor. Stairs are very easy to ascend, with wide foot treads and non-slip surfaces. Since, you're on the third floor, there are a couple of skylights that help light the place, which is nice. Condo was very clean throughout. The kitchen is nicely stocked with all appliances, tools, gadgets, cookware that you need. Crockpot included, which is essential for us. Small supply of spices, sugar, flour, etc. Coffee was provided. We mostly cooked in house, instead of going out. There is no ice maker, bring your own ice. The washer and dryer is always a plus. The condo is decorated nicely, with comforts of home. Throw blankets, comfy recliner, huge flat screen TV's in living room and both bedrooms. The master bedroom has a smart TV, so I logged into NetFlix. The internet is SMOKIN' FAST, a plus, since I have to work online always while on vacation. The master has a queen bed, a desk and office chair, windows with blackout curtains, a walk in closet with plenty of hangers, a connected bathroom with shower stall. Would be nice to have hand held shower heads installed in the showers. The path to the beach is paved part way, and well maintained with benches to rest on. It is fairly steep. The beds were firm but comfortable. The owners provide a lot of amenities, no chance of you running out of tissue paper, paper towels, etc. They even provide toothpaste! Small touches like this make a big difference when you are travelling. We have stayed at other places and had to re-stock all paper/laundry soap/dish soap etc. within one or two days. The view from the condo really is spectacular! We would go again, and would recommend to our friends and family."

  • Excellent place to stay!

"Nice slightly out of town location, but close enough to get to town. Beautiful grounds, quiet, private. Seeing the birds and horses was fun. Very spacious, had everything we need, would definitely stay again!"

  • Superb getaway

"Our stay at Rainbow Rock condo was completely enjoyable. The Ocean view was magnificent and we could relax and reflect just looking out at the peaceful ocean. The condo itself was very comfortable and very well maintained. Every imaginable household need was provided from the linens and cooking needs right down to the wine bottle opener. The beds were quite comfortable and the heat lights in the ceiling of the bathrooms were welcome on a few chilly mornings. There was ample literature about the area, restaurants and places of interest. When we needed some help from the condo owner, Jan Schrag, she was quick to return a phone call and give us the information needed. This need was in regard to the operation of the television and the use of the cable service. The service had evidently been recently changed and new instructions had not yet been written. Easy resolution, however, and the inconvenience was minor. Of the several times we have now visited the southern Oregon coast, this was our most comfortable "like home" stay."
