  • Delightful getaway

"Decided on a mid-week getaway to a delightful town of New Hope, Pa, and it far exceeded our expectations. Not only is the village warm and inviting, but the locals are absolutely charming. We received our warm welcome from Kurt, who guided turn by turn into another world. He gave us the full tour which included his mother's cottage. This is where we first met Eleanor. What can I say but it is indeed a pleasure to have met such a gracious and charming lady. Later that afternoon she invited us for cocktails and appetizers before heading to the Inn for dinner. It was quite an experience to sit in a 800 year old cottage, being warmed by a roaring fire and the company of two delightful and knowledgeable people. I loved hearing the stories of the history of this quaint English village and how it was transposed into a world of it's own. We stayed in the Gothic Cottage which was setup to meet our every need. Tastefully decorated and so comfortable, it felt like home.We ate at so many lovely and delicious restaurants, roamed the streets of New Hope, and took in a live theater production of Rocky Horror at the Buck's County Playhouse. I need to mention that the quality of the production was equal to Broadway. Quickly our time passed and it was time to return to reality but not before saying our goodbyes. The time was bittersweet but I hope to return again soon. Would to leave love to experience Christmas there."

  • Perfect place for a retreat

"I wanted to find a place to rent where I could have a quiet personal retreat and the Tree House was perfect!! It was secluded but not remote with easy access to nearby towns. The view was fantastic and I even got to see a large flock of wild turkeys feeding right behind the house. The house is a great size for a small group (1 - 4) of people and the deck is wonderful, overlooking the woods. The street is quiet and you don't even know there are neighbors. I highly recommend the Tree House if you are looking for a place to relax and be peaceful. FYI, if you bring movies to watch, don't bring blu-ray. It is an old DVD player."

  • Our weekend getaway!

"My wife and I were having cabin fever and just wanted to get away from the monotony of work and the short, depressing days of winter. We really enjoy New Hope and Lambertville as a quick weekend getaway without breaking into our savings. We do brew tours, wine tours and enjoy great nearby restaurants. We usually stay in hotels, but this time we looked on VRBO and found this little gem. We spent the day in New Hope and hung out at Triumph brewery with some friends and when the day was done we went back to the house and enjoyed the full collection of throwback videogame consoles until the wee hours of the AM. In the morning, after nursing my hangover (Jackie stocked the bathroom cabinet with aspirin) she pointed us to this delicious local place called Chive Cafe and we had the best breakfast sandwiches ever! Hangover cured! We will definitely be staying here again!"

  • Basically I would rate this 100 stars if that were possible. Fantastic experience and getaway.

"The cottage is the perfect place to go for a quick weekend getaway or and extended stay. We went for the weekend and truly wish we had more time to stay. Emily and Alfred truly went above and beyond in ensuring that we had everything we needed for our stay. They provided us with everything from nightlife and local events to dinner preferences and take out menus. The fireplace was the place to be in the cottage equipped with more than enough fire wood. This was a very memorable experience and I look forward to the day we go back. Thank you again for allowing us the pleasure."
