Private Cottage for two! Only 5 minutes drive from Peddlers Village!!

As you turn into our property, heading up the scenic driveway, you will find yourself surrounded by woods and greenery, leading you to your private cottage and yard nestled behind our 1880’s stone farmhouse.

Our property is just a few minutes drive to Peddler’s Village where you can walk around and find some great restaurants and shops including some of our favorites: Caleb’s, Buttonwood Grill, Earl’s and Villaggio. Another favorite is Baci Ristorante & Heart of Oak Pub and also None Such market for your grocery needs. And don’t forget to go to Curiosity Doughnuts…absolutely to die for!! We are also a short drive to Lambertville, New Hope, Doylestown and Newtown where you can also find some great restaurants including our favorite Ardana. Also, with our igloo, you will still be able to enjoy the outdoors in rain, snow or chilly weather and practice Yoga if you’d like!

There are friendly dogs, hens and roosters that live on the main property and might be seen or heard in the fenced in area during your stay. We are always mindful when our guests are here.

Our host, Patty, was absolutely exceptional—warm, welcoming, and wonderfully accommodating. Dawdle Acres feels like a true storybook retreat, living up to its name in every way: picturesque, charming, cozy, and deeply relaxing. The exposed brick walls and thoughtfully chosen country-inspired touches create such an inviting, homey atmosphere that you immediately feel wrapped in comfort and calm. It truly feels like you’ve escaped far from the hustle of everyday life, yet you’re still just minutes from New Hope, Lambertville, and Peddler’s Village, which offer fantastic shopping and dining.Every detail has been lovingly considered. The queen-size bed was extremely comfortable—which says a lot, as I have a bad lower back—and the soft sheets and fluffy towels added to the overall sense of luxury and care. Although we were too busy to use the fire pit, we loved starting our mornings with coffee in the cozy igloo.It was the perfect cozy weekend getaway for my husband and me, and we’re looking forward to returning for another stay!

Patti was a great host. Communications prior to our stay were great and Patti was very responsive with great recommendations for hiking, food, local attractions and entertainment. Loved the extra bonus of being able to book a massage during our stay! The cottage was as advertised. Very private, welcoming, and perfect for the two of us! The location is also perfect - right in between New Hope and Doylestown! Easy access to all of the wonderful Bucks County attractions.

Lovely cottage. Rental has everything you need for a cozy stay. Host included a lot of extra details such as games, puzzles, and and thoughtful snacks. Rules are clearly written and host reiterates with you for clear understanding. Checkout instructions are posted and host reiterates them via text prior to checkout. It is very clear that following the rules are important and preserves the cleanliness and tidiness of the rental. Located about 20 to 25 minutes from downtown New Hope.

This was the perfect place for us. Patricia met us at the cottage and was very welcoming. Super nice, went over every detail of her cottage, best places to eat at and places to visit. The cottage is gorgeous! The pics don’t really do it justice. It’s warm, comforting, safe, and close to the places we wanted to visit. We will definitely stay here again when we visit the New Hope area.

This cottage is adorable! The owners are incredibly thoughtful with a number of really nice touches throughout the home. The mattress and bedding were so comfortable, which is usually the one area I have trouble with when I stay away from home. The area is awesome with a lot of neat things to do. Overall, we had a wonderful weekend away!

We had a beautiful short stay at Dawdle Acres. The attention to comfort for the guests was amazing. There wasn't a thing that was forgotten. Patti has a meticulous eye for detail and we truly felt like guests in someone's home. Communication was effortless and responsive. We can't say enough about this experience. We would stay here again eagerly.

The cottage was lovely. It had everything needed to make for a great stay. The kitchen was well laid out and well equipped. The living area had a comfortable sofa, a small table and comfortable chairs and a desk and chair. The bedroom and bathroom upstairs were great too. The bed was comfortable. Everything was super clean and well maintained. The location was ideal. The host was very welcoming and helpful. She provided good tips for things to do in the area and places to eat. I appreciated her input. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back. It was the perfect place to stay.

This unique “tiny house”-style retreat is full of comforts, character (it’s a thoroughly renovated historic ice house featuring classic Pennsylvania stone!), and charm (witty games and puzzles, thoughtful writing and drawing materials, local color like maps and coffee table books featuring the area). Lap robes for the outdoor seating, a gas fire pit in the private courtyard, a smart TV in the cozy loft bedroom are all designed for indulgence and relaxation. We were in the area visiting family, so did not fully vet the kitchen, but it offers all the right apartment-scaled appliances and cooking essentials (I checked it out!) neatly stored and helpfully labeled. I extensively used and enjoyed the Keurig! The mattress was comfy, the shower had good water pressure, the cleverly stored stacked w/d was convenient, and climate control was perfect with options for everything from heat to tower breeze fan to A/C. The rural wooded setting created an “away from it all” feel, while downtown Doylestown, a fancy restaurant and Starbucks were about 5-20 minutes away.There was a rooster in the morning (and sometimes afternoon!)—what more can I say? The hosts checked us in personally, offered help anytime, and returned to their compound next door, available but respectfully separate, like good neighbors! We would stay again if the opportunity arose.

My husband and I have been coming here for 3 years now for our anniversary get away. The owners are wonderfull people. They are like family. The cottage is a hidden gem very relaxing and cozy where you are able to reconnect. Love the new outdoor space. The cottage is centrally located to a lot of restaurants and activities. Great trip, lovely cottage!

What an amazing weekend getaway! The property is perfect for two people. It had everything we needed and was very beautifully styled. The host Patricia was friendly and shared some of her favorite places for dining . I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a relaxing, clean and beautiful place to stay.i will definitely return.

Best Vacation Rental Ever!

My wife and I stayed at this beautiful property for our wedding getaway, it was absolutely spectacular. Set back in the beautiful foliage and lush landscape, my wife compared it to being in the forests of Costa Rica. The location was great aswell, surrounded by food, entertainment, and outdoor adventures. Overall such a clean and cozy property with everything you could possibly need. The outdoor igloo was so unique and fun. The host was absolutely the best, very caring and accommodating with great food recommendations and hospitality. In addition we had lots of privacy and full use of the cottage. This stay was beyond all expectations! We would highly reccomend it to anyone for a wonderful getaway.
