  • Great vacation place

"My husband and I spent the holiday at the Yough Treehouse. The house is furnished wonderfully with a large living room - kitchen area. Two bathrooms with plenty of space. The loft area is like a private space with a bed, chairs and sofa with an excellent view of the outside. The house backs up to the river. The deck and large fire pit/hot tub area are great. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place. Plenty of trails within walking distance. During the off season - October till March - the area is shut down. The only store in town is the Dollar General. You can drive to Ohiopyle for the state park - there was one restaurant/general store open with great food there. The locals are very friendly. Thankfully we brought groceries with us. Make sure to visit the Frank Lloyd Wright homes in the area. Go hiking in Ohiopyle State Park. There are wineries to visit in the area. This area seems to be hopping in the spring/summer time! Kara is great to work with and they have recently made upgrades to the house. She goes out of her way to make sure you are happy!"

  • Our own Polar Express holiday get away!

"What a perfect setting for a Christmas away from home! The house was everything we hoped for and then some. The owners are so gracious and kind; there is nothing they didn't think of including providing us a Christmas tree so our family holiday felt truly festive. The icing on the cake was the train that runs by the house. It's not loud and cumbersome; it's magical and makes you feel like you've taken a step back in time. The train actually stopped in front of the house on Christmas Eve with all its glorious sounds - we were already in pj's so we felt like it was the Polar Express picking us up to take us on a hot chocolate drinking train ride to the North Pole! Should we ever need to be in SW PA again Paddler's Lane will always be my home away from home."

  • True Gem

"We were so fortunate to find this place. Our 2 older boys were staying my family in a large house nearby, but we wanted our own space and this was perfect for my husband, our 2 yr old and myself. We loved the wood stove and the views of the lake..especially while it was snowing. We would like to bring our older boys here during the summer season, when we can really enjoy the lake, dock, grill, and front porch."
