  • Great vacation home

"Our extended family (ranging from age 2 - 65) stayed at this home the week including the 4th of July and it could not have been better. This property was very clean, nice appliances, beds, bathrooms, etc. We have stayed in the Harbour Town area many times and I'd put this home near if not at the top of our list. Being able to walk to Harbour Town in the evenings is a big plus and our family enjoyed the Harbour Town pool as usual. The property management company was great to work with as well. Upon our arrival, we learned that our entry would be slightly delayed (20 minutes) because the cleaning staff and other property management people were working feverishly to clean the residence, replace a couple mattresses, etc. after the previous renters had made a mess, damaged some things, etc. We were impressed how quickly everything was addressed by the rental company which made our vacation extremely enjoyable and stress free! We would highly recommend this property for a big family, couples, etc. who want to enjoy Sea Pines, Harbour Town, and everything HHI has to offer."

"This was our first time staying at 4 Brown Pelican but it will not be our last. We loved it! We have been vacationing in HHI for 15 years and have finally found the perfect house for our family. 4 Brown Pelican was recently remodeled and it is gorgeous! Our family (6 adults 3 kids) enjoyed the open floor plan in the living and kitchen area as well as the large screened in porch which allowed us to relax and still be able to keep an eye on the kids in the pool. We loved the close proximity to the beach as well as The Salty Dog. The beach at 4 Brown Pelican is fabulous - we felt like we were on a private beach and we were there the last week of June when the beach is usually packed. Sea Pines is so beautiful with tons to do. I can't say enough good things about this beautiful property and the fantastic location!!!"

  • Great place!

"First, if you've never been to Hilton Head Island, this is my absolute favorite place for a family vacation. Between the beaches, pools, scenery, wildlife, bike trails, harbors, and shops, there is plenty for everyone. Specific to 4 Hollyberry...we loved this place! 4 Hollyberry is a great choice for a family vacation - especially for kids. The house is nice and spacious, with a great layout. The deck is an especially nice feature, if you can take the heat and humidity of Hilton Head. We grilled out a couple of nights and couldn't have been more content. In addition, the house had just about everything - beach toys for kids, a canopy for the beach, nice beach chairs, some games - very well stocked. The neighborhood is a very quite one - you could safely let the kids walk around the block without any concerns (except maybe the gators that occasionally make an appearance in the lagoon...). The pool is a bit of a walk - about 200 yards, I would guess. This isn't a problem for adults or kids, but if you have very young kids (think toddlers), they might get a bit tired. Speaking of the pool - we really liked it. It has the feeling of being secluded, but close. We often had it to ourselves. This isn't a huge pool - at it's deepest it's 5'6" (more than enough for kids) - but it's not small either, and it's well maintained. And bonus - there's an adjacent playground. The trolley stop is a bit of a walk - I would guess it's a 10 - 15 min walk at a normal pace. The kids can generally handle it, but it's tough if you have a baby or a toddler. But the location of the house is especially great if you enjoy family bike riding. We were just the right distance from South Beach and Harbor Town that it was a pleasant ride to either for some ice cream in the late afternoon. The beach access at the Sea Pines Beach Club was a fairly short bike ride - I did it in about 10 min at a leisurely pace. And if you've never ridden bikes on Hilton Head you should - it doesn't seem like this would be as much fun as it is, but everyone seems to love it! Trust me - rent some bikes for the won't regret it. All in all, we had the best vacation ever - no regrets!"

  • Terrific home away from home!

"The villa was absolutely a wonderful spot for five of us to spread out, have our own space, and enjoy our getaway! Due to some bad weather we probably spent more time indoors than we would have thought. We took full advantage of the amenities and space, found the decor charming and beachy, and the location to be terrific. It's a quick walk to the pool, an easy bike ride/drive to the beach and delicious restaurants. The place was very clean and had supplies we needed. The outdoor space would have been great if not for the heat and humidity, but indoors was cool and comfy. We all thought the board games left by the owners were a nice touch. I appreciated the owner's quick, kind responses to my emails about information already provided but missed by my initial foray into VRBO. The entire family would recommend this home to Hilton Head visitors!"
