  • Better than described

"This was our 4th year returning to this condo. That tells it all. The condo is very clean, and updated constantly. Rich and Barbara have added new appliances in the kitchen which are very upscale, very nice. Overall the condo is beautifully decorated. We loved sitting on the patio with our morning coffee watching the wild life and again late afternoon watching the golfers across the lagoon. Staying in Evian is like staying in a French quarter, beautiful condo units and trees lining streets. We loved riding our bikes on the many bike trails on the plantation and off. This unit is the closest to the beach, just a couple minute walk or bike ride. The pool for Evian is very close and enjoyed time there after the beach. We love Shipyard as it is so centrally located to the many restaurants that are on HHI. A couple of our favorite's are Charlie's and Aunt Chialtas. When making a reservation or any problem at the condo, Rich is very prompt at returning your call. Unfortunately we had to evacuate due to hurricane Matthew and could not return. Thankfully the condo had no water or wind damage, so thankful for Rich and Barbara. Our prayers for the residents and their recovery. I understand most restaurants and businesses have reopened. We will definitely be back to HHI and Rich and Barbara's condo next fall. The fall is a beautiful time of year, no humidity beautiful sunshine and normally no rain."

  • Wonderful!

"My husband and I traveled to Hilton Head Island at the end of July 2016. We had a glorious time, helped, not in a small part, by the lovely, peaceful villa at Evian. The villa is fully kitted with everything you may need for your stay. We ate out most of the time and did not use the kitchen for more than snacks and drinks, but it was fully functional with full sized appliances, silverware, crockery, pots and pans. The villa is a great size, and with the balcony overlooking the golf course and a lagoon, there is ample room for everyone without feeling crowded. (Although, as I said it was just hubby and I staying there). Although the villa is part of a building with a few other villas, this one being on the second floor, we heard nothing from our fellow travelers. The area itself is incredibly peaceful with bike/walking paths throughout. There is a pool well within walking distance, with a lagoon close by, too. There are three 9 hole golf courses in the Shipyard plantation with the '19th hole' being just a 2 minute drive away. Hilton Head Island itself is truly beautiful, with lots to do for young people, but do not expect fairgrounds and water parks here - it is kept with nature very much in the forefront. The beaches are second to none! I feel I must mention the beach access here, although it really has nothing to do with the villa or its owners. The beach access for the plantation is fairly close by - a drive if you need to carry items to the beach. But parking requires a pass and it is quite expensive for the week. This is the only reason I did not give 5 stars. There are other public accesses to beaches quite close by (just a few minutes drive off plantation) with metered parking. The owners were very easy to reach and communicate with. Would certainly recommend this villa and would really enjoy staying here again!"

  • Every convenience included!

"Our family of 4 had an amazing week in this condo. Every amenity was thoughtfully provided, from tennis racquets and bicycles, to cooking tools and extra towels. Details such as each electrical switch is labeled for ease, the tv remotes are simple to operate, and the condo keys and passes are made easily accessible for guests. The condo owner even has a stocked-with-toys beach locker which my 7-year old appreciated greatly! Our family couldn't have asked for a better experience or more beautiful view. We lived on the patio!!! Thank you for an incredible week--we will be back next year!"

  • Plenty of room, easy booking, Chantel is da bomb.

"Worked with Chantel directly in several languages to complete booking. Check in went smoothly. Cleaning crew worked hard to get us in early even though the previous guests had stayed there a month. All was as stated. Plenty of room, kitchen more then adequately supplied, boogie boards a nice touch. Easy peasy double squeezy bike ride to beach (could walk easily). Even closer to Van Der Meer if you're there for tennis instruction. Didn't use Evian's courts but they looked to be in very good shape and lighted as well. Went clamming, got some nice ones, although not as plentiful as last year. A local on the clamming grounds indicated it was the dredging going on in Calibogue Sound that was affecting the clams. What do I know? Took the boys fishing and my 23 year old got a "bull" Red Drum that went about 23 pounds. The 16 year old got a small shark, and we caught enough Whiting for delicious fish with pasta and tomato sauce dinner that night along with a clam stew. But, enough about our adventures. The condo was absolutely perfect for my needs and we easily could have put another family in there with us with some jockeying of bed space. Can't beat it. There is a downstairs bedroom if you've got mobility issues."
