  • Excellent home & location

"We had a truly joyful vacation in your home. The home is beautiful & large enough for our crowd with seven adults & 6 kids ranging from 18 months to 13 years old. It is still large enough for one more family. The dock is great for the kids to swim & us adults to swim & visit. The water was warm enough for us to enjoy. We rented the boat & the kids had a blast tubing right near the house in open water. The lake was not busy at all. We visited sliding rock & Looking Glass Falls & also went white water rafting with Wild Water Adventures both within easy driving distance. Seneca, Clemson & Pickens were within 30 minutes drive for groceries & restaurants. We hope to make this an annual trip!"

  • Perfect for Family Reunion

"We just ended a wonderful vacation with family staying at the Rock House. There was plenty of room for sixteen family members with ages ranging from 18 months to 74 years. Very nice location; not too close to town but not too far away either. The house was very well kept, comfortable and inviting; just like walking into home. Beautifully appointed with a collection of children's artwork and full of surprises. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for cooking several full meals during our stay. The Writer's Retreat was perfect for the young adults to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main house. We loved the access to and from the lake as far as the steps to the dock were concerned. They were not too steep which made the walk back up to the house much more bearable! The kids loved fishing and jumping and swimming off the dock. We explored the lake from boat, and found the Jumping Rock. We also found the Lighthouse Restaurant and Keowee Marina, not to mention several waterfalls in the area, including Lake Jocassee. Dave and Lucy thought of everything to make our stay pleasant. Dave was excellent at communication and was available by phone or text to answer any questions and discuss any concerns. Only bad thing was we didn't want to leave. Great place to stay and will for sure stay here again if it's available next time we go to Lake Keowee."

  • Lake Vacation Week

"This is the second year we rented here. We have a ski boat and we just purchased a jet ski and paddle board. The location on the lake is perfect. The guys fish from the dock early in the morning. We did the paddle board, the kayak and canoe to the island. Grilled out, went to the Lighthouse Restaurant, sat on porch everyday. The game room is perfect for the guys to hangout- We have made lake vacations a family tradition, we are not a beach family. The only thing better would our own lake house!"
