  • This was our second stay at this cabin and plan another come this fall.

"This cabin was ideal for the number of people in our party. It was so well maintained and prepared that, from the moment you entered you felt at home. Right from the delightful fragrance to the soaps and candies and how well everything was presented for your guests. Your very professional staff beginning with Kelly, was extremely appreciated and answered all our needs beautifully. You had me at "hello." Next time we plan a visit to this area, you can count on a booking from myself and my family. The jacuzzi was a wonderful added touch especially after days being spent doing all sorts of fun things offered in this area. Thanks again for making our vacation a memorable one."

  • Nice

"The cabin's location was nice. Having access to the community pool was great since we vacationed in hot July. The community is quiet except for a yippee dog. But that's to be expected and it wasn't really excessive. However the floors weren't really that clean. I swept when we arrived and when we left. And although I do know they don't provide towels I think they should. It was just a convenience I think for the cost is appropriate. The only things we weren't happy with were (and why the 4 stars) are the Internet and the beds. The beds are horrendous. I know this can be subjective but the upstairs bed is so sagging you literally could not laying on the right side or you'd fall off. The bed on the first floor was not saggy but very uncomfortable. I had to go to the chiropractor when I got home I was in so much pain. I really could not have spent one more night on them. The Internet was so slow we couldn't really do what we needed. We didn't need access to the web much but my husband and and I are both business owners and there were things we had to do while gone. It took so long to accomplish the simplest emailing and work. Then it ate up time we could have been being on vacation. I did email Susan about this. She told us to unplug it. We did. Nothing changed and it wasn't resolved while we were there. Everything else was just fine. You have a beautiful view of the lake but no easy direct access. We just drove around to the other side of the lake (about a 30 minute drive) and went to the Douglas Lake Marina. They were awesome! We will return to the area, but maybe not this cabin unless the beds were confirmed different."

  • AVOID AT ALL COSTS (...so we can HAVE IT ALL TO OURSELVES!!!) =P Yes, another 5 Star Review...

"Now that the secret’s out I guess we CAN'T have it to ourselves. Starry Nites is ideal for a couple of any age seeking alone time in a quiet, comfortable retreat that’s convenient to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The main floor has a nice kitchen sharing space with a living area. There’s a dishwasher, range, microwave and fridge w/ice maker. (With any cabin, bring a box of baking soda for the freezer as ice typically holds that stale aroma.) The layout is comfortable and the loft has games, 2nd TV and furniture, so a group of 3 or 4 could do fine here (remember: there’s 1 bathroom and really enough space for 1 vehicle). The covered deck is private, secluded by vegetation with a more open view in the winter. There are doors to it off the living area and the bedroom for convenience. (The next cabin up the road has a modest view looking down on it, so keep that in mind when using the hot tub.) It’s right between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, so if you want to visit either or both, this is perfect. The drive, on a scale from 1 (flat) to 10 (get your affairs in order) is about a 6: A little windy with a few somewhat challenging places. Our GPS was close, but follow the email directions to be sure. The main is 10 min. going slow, and either town just a quick 5-minute jaunt either way. Perfect! The décor and furniture are current, comfortable and pleasant. The lighting is nice, too, making for a very warm and relaxing feel. The large A-Frame windows are beautiful, allowing the morning sun to gently pour in through the trees. The queen bed is sorta high, and with a ceiling fan above be aware not to bop yourself on the head. We found the bed to be OK – not super comfy but not horrible either. We didn’t use either the Jacuzzi or hot tub, but the latter was clean and plenty warm when we arrived. The bathroom is nice and has an apt.-style washer/dryer in the closet. There’s no fan, so open the window and – just to be safe – bring a can of Febreze. The electronics worked and WiFi was great. There’s parking for 1 vehicle and not much space out front. There’s two cabins up the dead-end road, which has a turn-around that you can use. Starry Nites was easy to find, clean & ready on arrival, and Susan was most delightful to work with. She was prompt and very helpful for us as we were seeking a place last-minute. She’s our hero! The cabin is a sweet value, in a prime but quiet location, and left us needing nothing more. RESERVE AT ALL COSTS! IT'S A VALUE AT ANY PRICE!"

  • Family Vacation 2016

"We absolutely LOVED this cabin! It was very clean and very comfortable! We had 5 families staying in the cabin (17 people total) and there was plenty of room. The views were amazing!! We loved to sit on the 3rd floor balcony at night and look at all the stars and sit on the first floor balcony with our morning coffee. The game room was excellent for the kids and the adults! I would definitely recommend this cabin as an awesome place to stay while in the Smokey Mountains!"
