  • Perfect weekend getaway for 2 couples!

"My husband and I stayed at Little Bear cabin for two nights with another couple. We had traveled to participate in the Great Smoky Mountains Half Marathon. I have visited Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg several times before, but I have never visited Townsend. This side of town is SO much less crowded & so peaceful! The cabin is in a prime location near so many activities, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. but feels like it's far removed from the hustle & bustle. A few days before our arrival, I received a call from Melinda, the owner, with so many personal details about the property. She was very helpful! We were so pleased with the appearance of the cabin, inside & out. The two bedrooms made this the perfect place for us. The kitchen had everything we needed for our home-cooked meal on Saturday, including the charcoal grill where we cooked our steak & chicken. After running the half marathon on Saturday, it was nice to be able to wash our clothes while we soaked in the hot tub on the back deck. The rain fell on the tin roof while we relaxed. Best part of the property! The beds are very comfortable. My husband forgot his sound machine to sleep with, but we found a fan in one of the closets that was perfect for him. Thank you so very much Melinda for allowing us to stay in your home! We will most definitely be back!!!"

  • Fantastic cabin

"Had a great week in the cabin. The view of the back deck was amazing. Great sunsets and nightly fireworks down near Dollywood. The cabin was roomy and comfortable. Great location. We are outdoor enthusiasts and spent every day hiking or biking. Getting to the mountain trails was a breeze from the cabin. My kids loved the pool table, darts, and play station."

  • Home away from home

"Loved our stay here. Cabin was everything we had hoped it would be. Clean, comfortable and spacious and a great view of the valley and neighboring mountains. All the amenities of home were here to make for a pleasant stay. We highly recommend staying here. Thank you Larry and Cathy."

  • Great family vacation.

"Last year I started dreaming of giving my kids and grandkids a gift of a family getaway instead of individual Christmas gifts. With retirement coming soon, I knew it was probably a one time shot for us to do this. With everyone's busy lifestyles so husband wasn't sure it was going to work out. But once I found the Papa Bear cabin, within an hour, I had confirmation from everyone that there was 1 week that everyone could be there and we booked it. The cabin had so much room. We all had our own room with its own bathroom. The grandkids brought air mattresses and created 'cousin camp' in the game room. They had a blast. This cabin was the perfect location, a bit off the beaten path, but so close to everything you could want to do in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. The linens were plentiful and the cabin clean and well stocked with basic needs as well as a few unexpected things. It seems every time I would think of a small appliance to pack, we would go to the description and it was included; crock pot, blender, etc. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a similar vacation."
