"We took 21 teens from a church youth group. They did not want to leave the cabin. We had to make them leave because we had tubing scheduled in Ober Gatlinburg. They are already asking to go back next year. We loved the eating area, it was big enough for all of to eat and we used it for table games later. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bedrooms are large rooms. we really enjoyed our time at the cabin. We will rent this cabin again. Reserving the cabin was easy. Check in and check out was easy."

  • Loved it!

"We had our family of 8, including both of our adult children, their spouses, and two grandchildren (age 8 and 15 months) here and we were very comfortable, with plenty of room in a spacious house that was cozy at the same time. The older grandchild slept in the loft bed and it made it like an adventure within the vacation. Lots of little touches made it special, including such simple things as having laundry detergent provided...things we didn't have to think about packing and lugging along ourselves. Cathy was prompt in responding and pleasant and easy to deal with. We couldn't have picked a much better for a nice family vacation and we'd definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity to vacation again in the area. Close enough to the action of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg (about 7 miles/15-20 minutes in good weather), but remote enough to be secluded and private. The restaurants are, of course, a major draw in the area, and we took advantage of them! We shopped (outlets, crafts, antiques), and took the kids to several attractions (really recommend the Alpine Coaster on Wears Valley Road and The Track, just at the end of Wears Valley Road at Light 3). We toured the aquarium (GREAT, but really crowded)...we especially enjoyed The Old Mill, Calhoun's, Bullfish, and Harpoon Harry's. And there's a little place called Pigeon Forge Deli in the back corner of the outlet shops at Light 3 that was incredible...lunched there twice. My husband and son brought their motorcycles on a trailer (which we had to park at the bottom of the hill at the pool; the road up to the house is steep in places) and rode the Tail of the Dragon. Drove part of Foothills Parkway (by car); visited Smoky Mountain Spinnery (WONDERFUL yarn/knitting/spinning store). Had a family old-time photo made at Four Sisters, which they made into one of the highlights of the trip. Hope we get to come back, and hope it's soon!"

  • Gorgeous cabin!

"My fiancé and I stayed here with our 22month old son and had an amazing time! The cabin was very clean with a great location (not far away from activities, but secluded enough for privacy) The jacuzzi was extremely clean unlike what a previous review stated and we jumped in our first night! This is definitely a place I would recommend to anyone and we do plan on going again!! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay, Darren!"

  • Great property for our family of 4!

"We loved our stay at Sunset View. The location was just the perfect blend of feeling secluded yet being able to access local attractions. You can't hear or see neighbors once you are on the property. However, a minor drive past many antique shops takes you to Pigeon Forge one way and to Gatlinburg the other. We loved the local shopping, museums, tubing and hiking. After a long day, the loft sleeping area with separate beds and half bath was perfect for our older son and daughter. The downstairs full bath and "master" bed room suited my husband and I just fine. The kitchen was clean, well equipped and groceries are available nearby. We appreciated being able to grill dinner out front and to then enjoy the evening mosquito free on the back screened porch. There was always plenty of hot water for showers and free laundry was a big help to us. Customer service was prompt and helpful. My only suggestion would be a drying rack for swim towels on the back porch. Everyone has asked to come back to Sunset View. We hope to return next summer!"
