  • The Perfect Getaway

"From the moment I pulled up to the cabin, I absolutely loved everything Heavenly Daze had to offer. This cabin is located in the perfect location, cozily hidden up a road right off the valley, minutes away from downtown Gatlinburg near countless delicious restaurants, fun shops, and trails galore for a nature lover like myself. I adored all of the amazing decks (especially the fire pit deck... incredible). Walking into the cabin I immediately felt welcomed as if I was at home in the woods. Everything was so clean, the hot tub was perfect for relaxing, and having access to a washer and dryer was a huge plus. I will DEFINITELY be back! Loved it."

  • Nice Cabin

"This cabin was nice and we enjoyed our trip, but there were some things i wish I would have known prior to booking. This cabin does not have any scenic views, in fact the views leave a lot to be desired. It faces what must be a maintenance yard for keeping up with the roads in the area. It is also the first house you see when you turn onto the street, so street lights and cars all day/night long is what you will need to get used to. Also, if anyone has any kind of animal allergy, this may not be the place for you as it is pet friendly, and the animal dander is definitely there. The cabin is located almost right in between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and you must drive everywhere you want to go. I recommend picking up your groceries, etc before getting to the cabin, or you will be doing A LOT of driving back and forth, and it seemed like Pigeon Forge always has traffic no matter the day or time. However, don't pick up too much as there is a serious lack of storage space and counter space in the cabin. The kitchen has only one small cabinet for storing food and because there is no dishwasher, the large available counter is taken up with the dish drying rack. Speaking of dishes, make sure you bring dish soap and a brush or sponge for cleaning your dishes as there was nothing available to us to clean the dishes. The bed in the master bedroom was extremely high off the ground. I am 5'4 and I struggled getting in and out of the bed, there was nothing to use as a step to help myself get in or out. My husband and I did not find the bed very comfortable, it was incredibly soft. If you like a firm mattress, this is not the bed for you. My husband ending up on the couch during our trip. The upstairs loft area is great if you have kids, my son enjoyed the games that were provided. None of the dressers or closets are available for unpacking your clothes, so get used to living out of suitcases. Had there been a little more room, storage wise, I think we would have enjoyed it much more. We were constantly having to move things around to do anything. Made me feel a little crazy after a while. I think if we were to return to the area, we would probably stay in Gatlinburg so we do not have to drive everywhere we want to go. Kim was extremely helpful the entire time from before we booked to after we left. We really appreciated her help."

  • Nice

"The cabin's location was nice. Having access to the community pool was great since we vacationed in hot July. The community is quiet except for a yippee dog. But that's to be expected and it wasn't really excessive. However the floors weren't really that clean. I swept when we arrived and when we left. And although I do know they don't provide towels I think they should. It was just a convenience I think for the cost is appropriate. The only things we weren't happy with were (and why the 4 stars) are the Internet and the beds. The beds are horrendous. I know this can be subjective but the upstairs bed is so sagging you literally could not laying on the right side or you'd fall off. The bed on the first floor was not saggy but very uncomfortable. I had to go to the chiropractor when I got home I was in so much pain. I really could not have spent one more night on them. The Internet was so slow we couldn't really do what we needed. We didn't need access to the web much but my husband and and I are both business owners and there were things we had to do while gone. It took so long to accomplish the simplest emailing and work. Then it ate up time we could have been being on vacation. I did email Susan about this. She told us to unplug it. We did. Nothing changed and it wasn't resolved while we were there. Everything else was just fine. You have a beautiful view of the lake but no easy direct access. We just drove around to the other side of the lake (about a 30 minute drive) and went to the Douglas Lake Marina. They were awesome! We will return to the area, but maybe not this cabin unless the beds were confirmed different."
