"We have stayed in several rental homes in various states and this one ranks as one of the very best! Lots of room and my daughter loved the kitchen. We were eating dinner one evening and a big black bear walked through the yard. That caused a lot of excitement as you just don't see that in the corn fields of Iowa !! The owners are very involved and she answered any questions in a very short time. My family wants to know when we can go back."

  • Great Stay

"We had a wonderful time staying in Lil Apple Bear Cottage. It was roomy enough to accommodate my family using the pull out sofa bed for our girls. The location and the views are wonderful. Karen is super friendly and very helpful. The cottage was clean and stocked with everything we needed. We look forward to returning!"

  • Beautiful property, excellent owner to work with!

"We really enjoyed our stay and really enjoyed working with David. From start to finish he was very kind, helpful, and readily available by phone and email for any questions. In addition, we have only been home for 2 days and already received our security deposit back!! The cabin is beautiful inside and out! The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It was well stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies compared to other rentals we have stayed at. The mattresses were of good quality and in good condition (on the firmer side, but comfortable). It is just a few minutes from the National Park (Wears Valley entrance). Pigeon Forge was just a 15min drive away, yet we were far enough away to feel the peace and quiet of the TN woods and mountains! We had 1 minor issue with the hot tub, but David addressed it immediately and had it completely fixed by the next day. The only reason I mention that is so that you can be assured you are in good hands if an issue arises. The cabin had a great set up for 2 families. With 3 bedrooms (plus a den area), 3 full baths, and 3 separate floors, everyone had their own space! The kids loved it and are already requesting to go back! I would rent this cabin again in a heart beat and I hope to work with David again in the future."

  • Never a dull moment!

"We had 3 families staying at the cabin and it was wonderful. The kids loved the game room and the adults spent most of our time on the main deck talking and playing the abundant board games that the cabin had to offer. We never felt cramped or in each other's way. We spent our days out hiking or in the mountains and the evenings at the cabin. The housekeeping was not on par, but that was not the fault of the homeowner. The home owner was quick to answer our many questions prior to our stay and even when arriving at the cabin he was quick to respond to our request/questions. The cabin's kitchen had almost any item you needed and there was lots of cabinet space to store our food. We would definitely stay here again."
