  • An Honest Review

"I want to give a review that is based less on emotion and more on fact. I will end with the emotional part of the trip because every trip has emotion . Here is the good: The cabin has a large parking area capable of holding a vehicle pulling a trailer carrying motorcycles. The inside of the cabin is open and inviting. That's a large living room the nice fireplace, a huge kitchen with plenty of room for cooking and the dining room with rustic table they can set up to six people with an additional two people being able to sit at the counter. The upstairs bedroom has a queen size bed and flatscreen TV. The bathroom attached to this bedroom as a step in shower and large sink with Copper basin. The lower level as the pool table with the bedroom on either side of the pool table room. Both of these rooms also have an attached a bath. One of these bedroom has a king size bed and a flatscreen TV. The other bedroom has a trundle bed and another large attached bathroom. All three bedrooms have a walk out to the deck or lower patio area. The entire cabin is very inviting and for the most part is clean. Now for the bad: When I walked in one of the bedrooms it had a faint smell of cigarette smoke. I also noticed a few of the decorations placed and I are areas had a few cobwebs on them. The lower patio also was a little dirty. There was a little bit of dirt and some debris left behind by what I am assuming was the former tenants. The hot tub was also on the fritz, and the water was cold. This was remedied however, by a quick call to the property manager. A repair person was dispatched, and the hot tub was soon working again. One thing I did not like are the thermostats. The controls are locked and the only way you can adjust the temperature is to call the owners and let them change them remotely. That seem to be a bit of a hassle. My only other issue was the showerheads. They seem to be very cheap. They really didn't offer a lot of pressure and really kind of blew a mist. I would've really liked to of seen a nicer shower head. The stairs may be difficult for some people such as the elderly. As a summary I would say that I would highly recommend this cabin. It is extremely convenient to everything and offers quick access to both ends of the park. The owners are quite friendly and accommodating. My trip to the Smokies was probably one of the best I have ever had while staying at this cabin. We will hopefully be back. Thanks for a great stay!"

  • Beautiful, exceptionally clean and relaxing cabin. Highly recommended

"We had family come down from Michigan so we met them in Pigeon Forge at the beautiful Dancing Bear cabin. I live only 2 hours away from the Smokies so we are over there a lot. I've rented about 50 cabins over the last 14 years and this is in the top 2 as far as how clean it was. You will find a lot of cabins are dusty because cleaning people just do the bare necessities but you could eat of the wood floors this cabin was so clean. No dust anywhere! The furniture and beds were extremely comfortable. The cabin is spacious. The three floors helped spread out the 12 people that we had. The wraparound porch was where we started out the first several hours of our day. You have wooded views and a mountain view. I loved how the cabin was at the end of the cul de sac road. We had tons of privacy and we had plenty of room for our 3 cars and could fit about 5 more cars comfortably. The kitchen was fully stocked and it was a joy to cook in. Cindy was nice and so easy to deal with. Any questions, she got right back to me. The drive up the mountain is a breeze and beautiful views as you drive down. You can't go wrong with this cabin."
