  • Beautiful, exceptionally clean and relaxing cabin. Highly recommended

"We had family come down from Michigan so we met them in Pigeon Forge at the beautiful Dancing Bear cabin. I live only 2 hours away from the Smokies so we are over there a lot. I've rented about 50 cabins over the last 14 years and this is in the top 2 as far as how clean it was. You will find a lot of cabins are dusty because cleaning people just do the bare necessities but you could eat of the wood floors this cabin was so clean. No dust anywhere! The furniture and beds were extremely comfortable. The cabin is spacious. The three floors helped spread out the 12 people that we had. The wraparound porch was where we started out the first several hours of our day. You have wooded views and a mountain view. I loved how the cabin was at the end of the cul de sac road. We had tons of privacy and we had plenty of room for our 3 cars and could fit about 5 more cars comfortably. The kitchen was fully stocked and it was a joy to cook in. Cindy was nice and so easy to deal with. Any questions, she got right back to me. The drive up the mountain is a breeze and beautiful views as you drive down. You can't go wrong with this cabin."

  • Amazing Vacation

"The cabin was beautiful and had plenty of room for our entire family. We loved that the cabin was close to Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg but still far enough away that we weren't in the chaos of the 2 towns. The cabin was clean & had everything we needed. The cabin was very well kept considering the owners allowed dogs of all sizes. We really appreciate that being that we brought our 10 year old lab with us. But the cabin didn't smell like animals stayed there which was really nice. We all loved eating breakfast on the porch every morning. It was a wonderful way to start the day. Then we would end our day relaxing in the hot tub. The cabin was awesome!!!!!"

  • Beautiful property, excellent owner to work with!

"We really enjoyed our stay and really enjoyed working with David. From start to finish he was very kind, helpful, and readily available by phone and email for any questions. In addition, we have only been home for 2 days and already received our security deposit back!! The cabin is beautiful inside and out! The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It was well stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies compared to other rentals we have stayed at. The mattresses were of good quality and in good condition (on the firmer side, but comfortable). It is just a few minutes from the National Park (Wears Valley entrance). Pigeon Forge was just a 15min drive away, yet we were far enough away to feel the peace and quiet of the TN woods and mountains! We had 1 minor issue with the hot tub, but David addressed it immediately and had it completely fixed by the next day. The only reason I mention that is so that you can be assured you are in good hands if an issue arises. The cabin had a great set up for 2 families. With 3 bedrooms (plus a den area), 3 full baths, and 3 separate floors, everyone had their own space! The kids loved it and are already requesting to go back! I would rent this cabin again in a heart beat and I hope to work with David again in the future."

  • Great Location for Pigeon Forge -- just needs a bit of TLC and restocking

"Overall I would give this house a 4.25 to 4.5 star rating if I could. The location cannot be beat. It is 6 miles from the main parkway in Pigeon Forge (same distance to Kroger and Publix grocery store). About 5 miles from the less traveled north entrance to the Smoky Mountain Park and 9 miles from Townsend, TN. The view is great but you can hear the street noise from Wears Valley Road. The house is tastefully decorated but it has taken a bit of a beating this summer. Floors are scratched on the main level. The dinner table top has some damage but still worked for our nightly domino games. We liked the three bedrooms each had a king bed. But it was very clean. But the stairs are steep and not recommended for small children and there is not really any place to walk a dog (it says it is pet friendly). The grill is charcoal and has seen better days but still workable. The kitchen needs a bit restocking (cutting board, more silverware, wine glasses, cookie sheet). It comes with only dish and dishwasher soap and had a pepper shaker, so plan to bring all stables. There were plenty of pots and pans but no colander to drain pasta. There was plenty of plates but need more silverware. The bathroom is a bit dark with only one counter and could use some hand towels and additional towel racks. Water pressure was good. Beds were super comfy. The house is tall with 3 levels and one bedroom in a separate loft area ( but with door). We liked the foosball and pool table, but never used the home theater. Odd thing was there was no directions on how to set the TVs (we messed up the output or something on two of them and never got them working again although Brandon the manager offered to come out). Three lamps were missing light bulbs but Brandon quickly rectified that as well as got us more drinking glasses. He apologized for the bit of damage that had happened to the house and promised to do a full inventory and restock it. There was also no information on any activities or restaurants in the area. We did leave our brochures for a future renter. Do be warned that the house has a "for sale" sign in front of it so not sure what the future holds. Be sure to put all trash in the proper container and lock it back up cause on our first day we had a black bear trying to get at the prior renters trash. Brandon (manager) efforts raised this score to 4 1/2 so the owner is lucky to have him."
