  • Quaint lil condo with all the accomodations

"This place packed all the punch of more pricey places.. Beautiful courtyard, postcard worthy.. The condo had all the conveniences of home, to include a washer and dryer on site.. Literally seconds from the beach access.. My wife and I could not have asked for more from this place, and will return and recommend this to others.."

  • Relaxing, thoughtful, close by everything, excellent owner

"I've traveled all over the world in the last 13 years and I have never stayed in a condo like this. It was an excellent experience. Most condos only have a front balcony. This one has 3 doors to each of the 3 sides of the condo, with a balcony that wraps around 33% of the condo. There are only 2 deck chairs so use your beach chairs for 3+ people. Speaking of the balcony, the employees at the front desk absolutely do NOT tolerate any sort of bathing suits, towels, etc to be on the balcony to dry off. Not on the railing. Not on the chairs. Nowhere. Our stuff just wouldn't dry very much in the condo so we had to use the dryers@ 2.00 a pop everyday; make it a full load! Change machine limited to $1 & $5. If you don't have that, they direct you to walk 2 blocks across the street to a gas station to get change. Same with wristbands, general cash and exact change when you check in. So, bring change and plenty of cash. BTW, there is no Chase in SPI. Use the Chase in Port Isabel. In Port Isabel, there's a Walmart. (There's not really anything to shop at on SPI except overpriced beach gear stores but more about the resale shops in a sec!) It does things a little different. They offer 1/2 ct of almost everything bc vacationers only need supplies for 3-7 days! 5 ct of trashbags, 50 sheet paper towels, 2 oz dish soap, etc! And the prices are 1/2 cut too. Supplies you'll need for the condo: dish soap, trashbags, paper towels, (extra) rolls of toilet paper, foil, laundry soap, plastic wrap, cooking spray, seasonings. Hint: use travel bottle for dish soap and bring some yourself. Resale shops! There are 3 of them. 1 benefits the only animal rescue group on SPI. If you need beach towels, supplies, clothes, condo stuff, go there! Save $$$ on gently used stuff, support SPI animal rescue! We found giant beach towels for $4! Much cheaper than overpriced stores, environmentally friendly and they have everything you need. Transport: the yellow/blue Wave shuttles are free, safe, clean, fast, comes every 30 min! Aquarius has private beach access but not private beaches. Beach guys get there @ 9am, take up premium areas with their umbrellas/chairs and then charge you $25 for the day to use them! Don't fall for it! Beach tip: go north on Gulf blvd ALL the way to beach access #6. Drive on the beach, set up shop and spend the day where NOBODY else is! $12 entry fee; $2 refund when you return trash in plastic bag. IMMEDIATELY GO TO CAR WASH AND RINSE UNDERCARRIAGE OF CAR!"

  • Home away from home feel at the Sea Vista.

"This is a unique, clean and well equipped unit. Love that it overlooks the dunes and the south facing balcony served us well to ride out the years first real northern blowing through. The floor plan is very cozy. Two small cons: 1. Cell service is pretty weak in the south side of the unit. 2. $85 cleaning fee for a short stay is pricey, and the policy asks you to clean up. If I'm paying $85, I would prefer for someone else to do my dishes and take out the trash...personally. I've stayed in many places on the Island, and this is one I'd love to return to for a longer stay."

  • Clean, Relaxing & Comfortable

"Paul & Carolyn's place is so very nicely kept and it is definitely one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed on the Island in the many years we have come. We also have to state that it was bug free which is definitely something to be noted. We felt very much like we were at home in their home. The pool was definitely comfortable to sit by in the afternoon and enjoy a dip if you wanted to cool off, the living, dining and kitchen area were perfect for visiting while I cooked and I could even enjoy the tv at the same time too. My husband, 13year old and I really enjoyed the place. We found it close to the beach, although we did find we needed to drive since we had our chairs, tent, cooler etc.... The place was quiet though with there not being a lot of units like many of the other Condos on the Island. We do hope to come back and stay there again. Oh and Carolyn's photography is unbelievable. I might have to plan a time to meet her as I am a photographer too and I am sure we could find many things to talk about. Wonderful place and great memories while we were there."
