Black Bear Lodge

"I rented the condo for my family - sons and daughters in law and four grandchildren. The sleeping accommodations were perfect with the bunk room for the kids. The location was in walking distance of great restaurants and outdoor activities. We were a little surprised (being from Texas!) that there was no central air conditioning, but soon learned that the day time temperatures were 10 degrees hotter than normal but the nights are lovely and cool and no one had trouble sleeping. The owner and also the onsite property manager were helpful and very kind. We had a great time!"

"The location of the condo and the convenience of the parking garage is a great plus. The concierge at the front is present and helpful. That being said, the condo needs to be upgraded and furnished better. The kitchen has a great updated range but the kitchen supplies are lacking and aren't in any order. Rusty sheet pans, Tupperware with no lids, pans with no lids. Lots of wine glasses everywhere but not many regular glasses. There was hair in the sink when we arrived. The TV is great and works but the couch in fraying at the bottom and is exposing the frame. The rugs probably need some steam cleaning as well because they seemed dusty. The bathrooms are nice and updated and there was always great water pressure and hot water but it would have been a nice plus if there was a first aid kit or basic amenities like hair dryer. The bedrooms are spacious but the mattresses need updating b/c they're sagging and appear old. Overall, nice location, helpful owner, but some work needs to be done to update the condo in my opinion."
